NH London Kensington

It is well located with a bus stop in front of the hotel and the underground a 10 minute walk away. Full with simple but good restaurants in the area. We went to the Siam Secret Thai restaurant, the Japanese restaurant, The Pizza place (sourdough), and we had breakfast at the Paul bakery place, and in one of the pubs. The hotel is fine and our room was overlooking the garden so it was pretty quiet at night. The staff did not make any effort providing an early checking-in not even when coming back from lunch at 14:30. We finally could get to our room at 19:30 when we were back from the city center, but not before waiting another 10 minutes because the lady at the front desk was busy checking in 2 Chinese ladies and chatting about Coronavirus, even though all we needed was our luggage and the key to our room (we had already checked in at 12). Please don't expect the NH Hotel Kensington go the extra mile for their clients, because they simply won't.

The charge 35 pounds in advanced to my credit card for mini bar consumptions (for a pretty empty minibar!), and said it will be returned automatically once we have done the check out. Guess what? They did not return it automatically and I had to call them and ask for it.
