Best Western Mission Bay

We had a problem with our first room which required us to move to a different room the next morning. The staff credited us with one free night for our inconvenience. Breakfast is always well-stocked and basic but very good. The breakfast room staff keep everything moving and well-stocked.

The carpets at this facility have a tendency to become dirty/greasy. We discovered this when the soles of our bare feet became black after walking on the carpet. The staff offered us a different room which had the same problem. The third room's carpet was much cleaner so we moved to that room.

Consistently Good

We have stayed many times at the Best Western Mission Bay while visiting family in the area. This motel has been consistently well managed and the facilities continue to improve year after year.

This is a very popular motel in a busy location. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times, but there is a secondary parking spot next door when the close parking is filled.

Not great, not bad

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was okay. The waffles were really good but everything else was just okay (orange juice seemed watery). The rooms seemed clean. I did see what looked like one tiny roach/bug in the bathroom but I killed it and didn’t see any others. Their bath products smelled nice. Great location. Free parking.

The photo makes it look like a nice hotel. It’s a motel. The lighting for the entrance into the parking lot is non-existent. The beds were really firm and uncomfortable. The bedding was stiff and scratchy. The WiFi was very slow. We asked for a pack n play which was happily provided but we were unable to use it because it did not seem safe. The sheet provided was a regular sheet and there were spaces between the mat pieces that sunk in if the child stood or knelt there. My son got his foot pinched (no injury).
