Excellent Hotel / Staff
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. I stayed in San Francisco numerous times and for the price this hotel was a great stay/great deal. Would recommend.
When we arrived the room felt cold to us. We are from a much warmer climate than SF. Turned on the heater and didn't heat up. Called the front desk and was told the heat in the building was on a timer...comes on at 9pm (it's a radiator). They offered to send up a space heater.Within minutes we had a space heater. Problem solved. Great staff and super friendly.
Good value hotel
The hotel was a better standar than I was expecting. The lobby was clean & fairly modern. The room was reasonably large and had good amenities.
The bathroom was very small & felt a little cramped. There was no free parking but this is to be expected in a city.
The little things.
I was impressed by the staff when they offered to valet the car up early, since we had to leave at 5:30am. I found the room very comfortable, but my husband had issues. He could not cool himself down; the ceiling fan had been disabled, the window would not open, and the ac was either difficult or non functioning (probably difficult). He could not sleep and blamed the hardness of the bed. I slept fine and have no complaints
The heater didn't really do much, the room was cold and it was a pain to get out of the blanket. And, there was so much hollering from the street front.
Great location and value for the money. Morrocan decor, very clean and comfortable.

Rooms are very small and the neighborhood is not safe.
(1) Rooms at lower levels are noisy from the people in the street. (2) It had no parking counter to what advertised. They push on you a mandatory valet at approximately $40/day. (3) Internet is free for 20 min a day. Nevertheless, when you use it, at their business center, they have a slow mode option you do not know of. You find out at the check out that the default option, you thought was free for 20 min, is the fast option that cost approximately $1/min. (3) The streets in front of the hotel are full with homeless people who use the sidewalks like sleeping quarters and restrooms. For the rest, it was peachy.
Super nice and playful front desk staff. I happened to mention it was my boyfriends birthday and the concierge offered to fill the room with balloons and a free bottle of wine! And they set it up as a surprise for when we got back from dinner! The car service was excellent, the decor was really nice- Indian type theme but clean and chic! Organic coffee and tea in the room, shampoo conditioner and shower gel in dispensers instead of minis to be more Eco friendly! I couldn't have been happier with our stay.
I didn't like the price, but that's to be expected in San Francisco! The building is old so the walls seems paper thin to outside noise, but not really from room to room, so didn't mind the sound of cars and people walking.
The hotel itself is attractive. A boutique hotel with a great lobby, warm staff and cute charming rooms. The bathroom was nice. Our superior king room had a walk-in closet with two entrances. The room had a dimmer for the main ceiling light above the bed. It's a short walk to some nice bars. Union Square is about a 10 minute walk. The price is great for the quality of our stay, especially giving the going rates on much of the city.
The floor of the bathtub was slippery, so I had to be very mindful when showering. There is however a short rail / bar along the shower wall that came in handy when stepping into the bathtub. Like many buildings in SF, it's an old building and the walls are a bit thin. You occasionally hear sounds through the walls (i.e. steps, hallway chatter, clunks of objects moving through the hallways), but nothing out of the ordinary.

Some Cleanliness mistakes. For example the welcome brochure with hotel information had lots of stains on it.
Staff are friendly, helpful and knowlegable. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Lack of access to hotel dining on Sunday and Monday nights- as a single female travelling alone this becomes a safety issue given the immediate location of the hotel

The location is perfect. Close to the city center, easy walking distance to anything and everything. Fly next door is excellent and the breakfast at Saba was great.
The staff were very friendly, the service was wonderful. The atmosphere they create in the evenings with the free wine was very nice.
The hotel was very noisy - you could hear people in the hall and in other rooms as well as everything happening on the street.
The hotel was fabulously quaint and centrally located to all that I chose to do in S.F. I and my roomie truly enjoyed our stay and will come again.
Our stay at this hotel was first class. The reception staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and had wonderful beds. A great experience - and so green too
The restaurant Saha is massively overpriced and poor quality compared with other similar establishments in the area. Would not recommend eating here. Plus they had the nerve to add a 20% service charge to the bill as we were international guests staying at the hotel. A rip off
