Shocking really!!. When I had my coffee, my request for cream and sugar went ignored THREE times. Finally they grudgingly gave me only cream, rendering my coffee undrinkable. .....And the list goes on. Never ever will I travel on this horrid airline again!"

Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

Got a hard time on the weight of my carry-on being more than 7kg although I had to point out that my ticket allowed me two bags that were 23kg each - I had nothing to check. Eventually, when I pointed out that I could wear enough of the clothes from the carry on, they agreed to let me take it on. On board, the service was cold, bland and infrequent. The entertainment system lost sound perhaps 20 minutes into the flight."

Ưu: "Boarding process and take off was the most efficient - truly impressive! I don’t think this had anything to do with the airline, but every flight with them was so quiet (no crying babies/children, loud adult conversations), I thought I could hear the pin drop! Their safety demonstration was uniquely done by dancer, which made it interesting to watch every time! I left my jacket on one of my flights, but they returned it to me when I boarded the next flight - I was gratefully surprised! They had complementary tooth brush/toothpaste, ear plugs and eye masks in the restrooms. I thought this was a good way to reduce passing out items not all passengers wanted. I wish all airlines could copy these amazing features from them."

The rolls with margarine, same fruit and strongly cultural seasoned vegetables that were served every time, all of which I could not eat. I have liked every airline meals and hospital food, but their food was below institutional food quality. For an Asian airline, the flight attendants were rather crude in their speech and mannerisms. I could barely hear and understand the announcements in spite the fact that passengers were extremely quiet. Their choices of movies were very poor; it seemed that 3 out of 4 flights had similar options."

My connecting flights was too long I was at Taipei for more than 18 hours. The company could have been provided a hotel. I was miserable at the airport. The EVA Air has excellent foods and good crew. The Air Canada could have been provided a better sets for families with childrens. I was sitting 39 A next to a window. There was a family a mom and two child was separated from there mom. The mother of two was upset that she was separated with her two little girls. I feel bad with the two little girls that their mom was sitting behind us. So, I decided to move where the mom was so that the mom and two little girls could sit together and the mom was very happy and Blessed."

This was is our first experience with EVA Air. I’d recommend EVA Air’s Premium Economy. The seats were wider and leg room was excellent. The amenities were great especially the entertainment part. TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad. The food was great! Both my wife and I like the dinner and the breakfast served. Also, the price of EVA Air’s Premium Economy is great compared to similar Asian Airlines from Vancouver to Manila. EVA Air was the cheapest when we started shopping for flights from Vancouver-Taipei-Manila."

First, there are FOUR seats but there are only THREE partitions at the bottom, meaning I had to share leg space and purse space with the stranger next to me. It's awkward enough sitting next to someone I don't know and having to worry about accidentally leaning on him when I fall asleep but having to constantly be in contact with his leg was very uncomfortable. I kind of got over it after awhile but I could tell the kid I was having leg time with was super uncomfortable since he would jerk his leg away every time it touched mine. Sorry to be harsh but I don't know how you're getting 9.0+ scores from the other customers. Yeah your flights are cheap but your seat options suck and the movies weren't good enough to make up for it. D+. You get what you pay for I suppose but your tix weren't that much different from the other more comfortable airlines."

Later I took my things and this time another FA rudely said I cannot move because the empty seats were required for FA's to rest on this 14 hr flight. Fair enough. But not once did they sit at those empty seats at all. When I had to continually get up to allow my window passenger who frequently uses the toilet. Why lie?"

Khuyết điểm: "My wife and I were scheduled to fly out of Taipei on the day a major typhoon made a direct hit on Taiwan. Taipei was shut down, offices and shops were closed, residents were sheltering at home, and other carriers had cancelled essentially all flights during the 10 hours when the storm was projected to be over the island and had posted long delays (of 8 and 10 hours and longer) on their uncancelled flights. Only EVA stubbornly clung to the fiction that our flight and others would actually depart -- and depart on time. EVA's refusal to acknowledge reality -- and timely communicate that reality to its customers -- made planning impossible, stranding passengers at hotels without bookings, preventing contingency planning and forcing many passengers to make needless trips to the airport over treacherous roads made hazardous by heavy flooding, downed trees, blowing debris, high winds and blinding rain. EVA's decisions cost us money, inconvenience, time and anxiety. For the passengers and crews on inbound planes that EVA actually landed or tried to land in Taipei that day, the consequences were worse: head and other injuries from extreme turbulence and hard landings, and then hours on tarmacs unable to deplane because the winds were above the maximum level for the safe deployment of jetways. Getting out the next day with an upgrade to business class doesn't do it for me. I am a United 1K-Star Alliance Gold flyer. I fly a fair amount and I expect, above all else, an uncompromising focus on safety and clear, candid and timely communication. Never again EVA."

It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."

They passed me when serving the food just because the aisle seat passenger next to me was served his special meal earlier, so they did not notice that the passenger at the window seat (which was me) had no tray in front of him when running the regular meal service. Isn't this sloppy !? Problem is that once they passed you, it's hard to get their attention, as they are always in a hurry, and not looking over the cabin just to check if someone needs something or wants to call on them for any reason, and there are no attendant calling buttons available. So you have to wait until they come by your seat again. Finally I got my meal with apologies 15 minutes later, but the experience was already ruined and the negative impression built.. Also, when departing from Taipei, the boarding process was a bit disorganized, compared with the one we had in Vancouver. As for as the entertainment, the LCD monitor at my seat was pretty worn out, with very poor contrast, making it difficult to watch a movie or read information. Same airline with two opposing experiences: Vancouver-to-Taipei very good, Taipei-to-Manila: poor."

Not too bad. 3 weeks before my vacation to Myanmar, China airlines moved my return connecting flight from Yangon to Taipei a day early, which meant I would need to cancel hotel reservations in Yangon and would be stranded in Taipei overnight. I called China Airlines and the only option was to move my 2nd flight a day early. No apologies or reason why my connecting flight was changed a day earlier."

Staff was not the friendliest - asked for water twice, was told just a moment but was never brought any. How do you not give people water on flight over 3 hours? I would have even paid for it. I have a history of heart failure and was worried because my ankles were swelling and my legs were tingling. We missed our bus because of the delay, The airline staff in taiwan took all of our travel info and said they would help us book other transport to get where we were going in Cambodia. When we got to Cambodia the check-in desk was closed so info told us to go to the china airlines office - we waited almost an hour and still no one showed up (middle of the afternoon). Had to pay 6x the price to get to Sihanoukville plus we weren't able to get a refund on the bus tickets. Crying, screaming kids in front of us kept standing up on the seats so no one behind them could see the TV - staff said nothing. Terrible experience."

My flight to Seoul via Taipei was a bit uncomfortable bc the flight was fully packed and even though I had an aisle seat, the person sitting in the middle was hogging up all my space . Once I landed in Taipei and went on next flight to my destination at Seoul, that flight was much more comfortable and less people. On my return direct flight from Taipei to JFK seats were comfy and service is always attentive. I enjoy taking china airlines and can always rely on their service and clean planes"

Had a technical malfunction twice which caused me to miss my 7am connecting flight by 2 mins. The next plane didn't even bother to wear for 2 mins even if they caused the delay. They gave a 250NT lunch voucher and asked to what til the next flight in the afternoon. That was the longest flight I experienced coming from New York."
Ưu: "The crew didn't nag that I can't watch a movie on my mobile, even during take off and landing. That's highly appreciated. I also could tallies my GoPro during the entire flight, no negative comments from the crew, unlike many other regional carriers here."

Fine, except: There were several families with small children lined up at first. The gate agent was about to board them, then she stopped and went out into the gate's seating area and started grabbing families with teenagers (only) to board with the families with small children. Seriously, she went and got several families that had teens (no kids in the fam under age 10) only, and lined them up behind the fams with smaller kids. What an interesting look on the faces of the first-class passengers waiting in a separate line to board. After boarding the new category of "All Families", first class boarded. Then the masses. Once again, zones were not utilized by gate agents, and we all boarded at the same time, ignoring the zones (front/middle/rear). Once in my seat I could not find a charging outlet, nor a USB outlet. And wifi? I asked the F/A. Her response: "We don't have. Sorry. Its 1 hour 50 minute flight. You are OK." Really! No, sweet woman, YOU will be OK, working. I will have to waste 2 hours not getting something productive done. Entertainment unit on seatback: Waste of time. Even if it worked, the sound requires the old twin-male plugin jack on the armrest. Nobody has one of those in his pocket, and the F/A's never passed any out. I can hear it now, had I asked for one: "1 hour and 50 minute flight. You are OK.""
