sea view, quiet location, nice staff. no breakfast due to coronavirus so they offered us a bottle of sake to compensate. possibility to swim (sea is just across the road) but no beach, just stairs going directly to the sea.
old, not really clean, public bath was empty and not clean. I took a very quick shower, do not feel confortable to stay longer in the public bathroom. you have to pay for the towels.

The view from the room was incredible (who doesn't love to wake up and immediately see the ocean?) and the beds were really nice! One friend and I stayed in the private room with a key to our door, and the other friend stayed in the "dorm". Normally dorms have bunk beds, but all the beds were separated away from each other which was really nice and gave our friend lots of space. They have a library where you can borrow books (in English and Japanese), and a hang out room with couches and a TV that everyone is free to use. They have a cat (Uni!) that was super sweet and loved to be held and pet which was a big bonus. There's also a massive vending machine full of drinks and we used the coin laundry machine. We also enjoyed the sento bath house down the street and enjoyed the little beach cove across the street. Located only about a 20min drive from downtown Nagasaki. We loved our stay!
The place is a little old, so it looks a little run down in certain areas, but we didn't mind. Gave the place more character! One of our friends struggled with getting the shower to work.

The location is lovely, and Mogi is an engaging little town. Our room looked directly onto the ocean! Good tatami and futons, cheerful staff who spoke several languages, a good breakfast is served. The building is attractive and has a relaxed vibe.
The washing machine was a touch expensive and the dryer veeeeerrry slow. The initial bus from Nagasaki is tricky to catch, requires care and prior information.

The view from the room was spectacular! Good facilities regarding the kitchen. Reasonably close to a supermarket.
The bus system was tricky for us as people who didn’t speak Japanese. The property tried its best and gave instructions but it’s really easy to get the wrong bus. The beds were really uncomfortable but got the job done. There are no private shower options if you’re not so fond of communal bathing. The walls a really thin so it can be hard to sleep when other guests are loud (which happened to us).

The location was great. The fishing small town was very interesting. One should know that transportation takes much longer than expected during the rush hours.
- It was more expensive than any other hostel I stayed in Kyushu, but the service and the facility were worse than others. - The bathroom facility was old, cold, and dirty. - The bedroom was very cold and it was difficult to adjust the temperature. - The structure was confusing because it was converted from a Ryoutei restaurant. I couldn't find a kitchen area (it's far from the dining room) and asked an employee, but I was scolded as if I was the dumbest guest. The quality of service was very un-Japanese.
