To their credit, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
This was an incredibly disappointing stay - literally everything that could have been wrong with the room, was wrong. It was so bad that I even tried to back out of my reservation after my first night, but alas, to no avail. First off, it was incredibly small - I was relatively OK by myself for the first few days, but when my husband joined me it was evident that the room is definitely NOT suitable for two people. The bathroom is especially tiny - a tiny stand-up shower, and the sink and toilet all very close together and to the thin door - goodbye, any sense of bathroom privacy! The paint was old and out-dated, and smudged with questionable stains (I swear there were blood stains on the bathroom door!) and also - who paints a hotel room mint green? Looked like the carpet hadn't been replaced in 20 years and the whole room had a smell to it. In general, I just felt that there was a complete lack of pride in the whole place. The phone to call the front desk was so messed up that i couldn't hear them, the coffeemaker was so dusty (and full of scale) that I dared not use it, even to boil water for tea. The walls are SO thin that I could hear my neighbors taking their cell phone calls - and they weren't particularly loud. It is right on El Camino Real, so the location is OK, but the thin walls mean that i had to sleep with the fan on, in order to try and drown out all the street noise! I've stayed in several of the motels in the area, and thought I'd try this place out - if i could give it less than one star, i would. Spend a few extra bucks to stay somewhere else, trust me - you'll be glad you did!
Awful room odor
Location is great. Booked through hotels.com with a $40 higher rate than if I would have called the hotel directly.
Unable to cancel at 7 Am same day even though the said it was cancelable on the website
It wasn't very clean and it was very old. Beds were not good.
The staff was very friendly. It was very close to Stanford.
When I checked out, it was raining and I was in a hurry. I did not check the details of what was charged. A day later I found out that I was charged $1.5+tax for the use of the safe, every day. But I never used nor requested the use of the safe. It was locked in my room from the very beginning. I went back to the hotel for a refund. But they said it was already charged to my credit card and cannot be refunded.............

The hotel is reasonbly well equiped and clean.
The staffs there were friendly. The bed is very large and comfortable.
The door makes noise, when wind blows, which is a bit irritating. But not so big problem.
Convenience to Stanford University for Senior games
Rooms and bathroom too small. The shower head was made for someone 5 ft. tall and my husband sprained his neck bending backwards to rinse his face. The continental breakfast area was too small which consisted of one table and five chairs. The whole time we were there half of the four slice toaster was broken and we had to wait in line.
It was difficult to get an international phone connection in my room.
