Pillows were awful. $50 pet fee was not upfront as I was charged at check in
The bed was uneven. Staff are somewhat rude. The phone in the room didn't work and I was charged twice for the room. Indoor pool needs updates... actually most of the hotel does.
Best Of The Best
The Four Points in Richmond, Va. has to rank as one of the very best places I have ever stayed. Management as well as rank and file empoyees went out of their way to make sure I was happy and properly looked after. My trip began with a 36 hour layover on the way to Richmond. When I arrived Kix, Jasmine, Yassilla and the rest of the crew let me know I was the only care and concern of the hotel even though it was full of patrons. I love this hotel and they are far and beyond one of the very best. I was treated as a 1000 a night guest for 90.00. Anywhere I go I will be looking for a Four Points to stay before I book with any one else.
I didn't like the restaurant manager on duty during the day. She had a sour attitude that was a direct clash with what the hotel was trying to achieve. She was a short, red headed, nasty fireball that was from my opinion a horrible task master that drove down the moral of earnest employees.

The restaurant i rate 1 star the food was terrible the service sucked only 1 person handling hosting and serving the cook looked miserable can't take directions on how to make an omelet . Top it off the carpet in the room had dark stains on it paint was peeling on the walls and we saw a cockroach in the bathroom

Very,VERY thin walls. I could actually hear the lady in the room next door talking on the phone at night, not just her side of the conversation, but the woman she was talking to on the other end. No exaggeration. Also, on the other side of the room I could here Everything that was going on with the couple staying there. Their bed rattling the walls and even shaking my bed. I could here every time someone used the toilet and not just the flushing of the toilet. The filling of the toilet too. None of the entry doors to the rooms had a soft close or open feature. So instead of when entering the room and opening the door and expecting some resistance, the doors flung open and banged the wall behind it. This went on all night and all morning with people coming and going down the hallway. One morning it sounded like something like a cart or chair was hurled down the hallway. In the bathroom, the mirror looked as if it had rotted right above the sink at some point, instead of being replaced, it was just painted over. There were a couple broken tiles on the floor surround tiles. The towel I was going to use after showering had a long black hair on it( I have short brown hair), and also there were hairs in the bathtub. The sink had something that I can only describe as dried spit in it.The shower curtain liner was worn and didn't fit the tub any longer, so water leaked unto the floor.
We had a wonderful experience. We love that it was pet friendly. Getting our dog in and out was easy for bathroom breaks. We will stay there every time we are in Midlothian.
