Had some problems with Internet connectivity but the staff rectified that problem quickly. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Excellent staff!
Met expectations. It is the...
In room dining was perfect. Highly recommend steak frites. Lovely Molton Brown bath products. Nespresso machine in room for early morning coffee. Very clean and Covid safe. Spa was good value and great service.
Superb
Th room was great, bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were amazing!
Exceptional
We booked this hotel last minute as eloping and we got an amazing big suite. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. Gorgeous hotel and nice and quiet.
We liked it all!
Great bathroom with spa tub and good bath products. Piano was nice but foot peddles didn’t work. Very old couch. Spacious and very clean but living room needs updating. Charcuterie was good. Great location.
Rude hostess and concierge (he seemed annoyed and cut me off when speaking); grilled calamari was inedible; +slow service when we were the only two on the patio. Not terrible but I won’t back. Not a 5 star hotel in Toronto.
They would NOT refund my $ even after I had a family emergency and checked out early am! Front desk was interrogating me about how I got across the border! No valet! No bellman! Rooms stink and are old and not kept up! Stay away!!!!

Value for the money. Rude desk clerk. Room not prepared per reservation. No stairway to the second floor where the only bathrooms for the ballroom are. This is a fire hazard. Expensive breakfast that took a long time to get and was not correct.
Staff was horrible. For a 5 star hotel. They need better people
Staff
The manager is not very honest to put it mildly
Location is great and the Rolls service, and the driver, are amazing.
The Arms falsely advertises a Sunday Brunch that does not exist at their hotel. I have complained to the management about it numerous times and they told me last summer they were going to change the website and yet, it's still there. I understand that I am not the only one to complain about it. Every room service order we had was messed up and did not match what the menu said. They also charged me for turn down service and food I did not receive. The turn down service was, frankly, shocking. A big pile of sheets and pillows left in the corner of the room, dirty dishes left in the room, towels just left in a big pile on the side of the bathtub. I was so stunned I took photos! I spoke to the front desk about the service and the inappropriate food charges and they did nothing about it, just charged my card for it all anyway.
location
very dirty and noisy. Staff seems very distracted
A very quiet and understated hotel with excellent accommodation and great service. It is undoubtedly a five star experience.
It would be impossible not to like everything about this hotel and its staff
Loved large room with separate seating area. Bed was very comfortable and hotel is quiet so great nights sleep!!They did charge $25 for pull out couch turndown. Nice tub and shower as well as a second bathroom so convenient for getting ready. Had issue trying to turn down air conditioning to liking-was hot day! Great location-easy walk around Yorkville with lots of restaurants and shopping. Did not use pool but looked nice. Has small work out room on property. Bar has cozy seats and was able to get late night snack. Tea time isn’t worthwhile-tea was very good but food not the best. Definitely will stay here again!!
Thermostat control and charge for pull out bed.
This hotel is in the heart of Toronto's Bloor/Yorkville area, perfectly located and on a quiet street. It's just steps from lots of lively shopping and walking distance to the theaters on Yonge as well as the University of Toronto. The room was very pretty, elegant and well furnished, as well as largely quiet. The towels were Garnier Thibaut and very fluffy. The staff were extremely attentive as well.
This is a VERY expensive hotel. It was renovated (actually rebuilt inside the shell of the old hotel--the developers claimed they couldn't renovate the historic building so knocked down all but the facades) in 1999, and it's definitely showing its age. The surfaces in the bathroom were nicked and cracked. One of the lightbulbs in the bathroom ceiling was out. The make up mirror's attachment was coming loose so it sagged from the wall. The light bulbs flanking the mirror were so dim I couldn't see to put on make up. There was mildew in the shower. The hand-held shower attachment that served as the showerhead would only sit, no matter how many times I tried to adjust it, so that I had to stand with my side pressed against the wall to get under it. There was dirt/dust on the moldings inside the bathroom door. The iron leaked water even on the highest setting (the butler quickly brought another that worked better, though not perfectly). The toilet flush is power assisted and so loud we couldn't flush it in the night because it would wake everyone up. At night there was a periodic clicking/tapping noise from the building settling, which is weird because it's actually a newish building. It was loud enough that I had to put a pillow over my head. I'm not sure I would stay there again. Though the room was luxurious and elegant it seems like the hotel needs to take it off line and take a good look at the details; I can't comment on whether this is typical of the hotel as a whole or just wear-and-tear in this one junior suite.
The staff was great, rooms clean , large, beautifly desogned, great lacation
Everthing was perfect
Location
Breakfast. Cleanliness. Extra charge for crib. Management
Charged an extra 25 dollars per night for the use of a crib
Added charges
The location, staff and facilities were wonderful.
Internet was slow.
The staff. Coral, Gary and Peter were all great and very welcoming indeed.
The room had not been cleaned under the bedside cabinet. What I found was hideous.
Room was great, staff lovely and a fab complimentary ride in their Rolls Royce to our car hire
Breakfast was average
Great location and ambience. Human scale rather than huge overly done modern hotels. Found the rates somewhat high, particularly if we were to stay a week, for instance. But it is one of the unique, special places to stay in a premium part of the city.
Price.
It was really bad.
Despite being downtown the location was quiet and peaceful. Everyone on staff were kind and courteous. The food was delicious and the service perfect. I would highly recommend and will be back.
location good hotel is 4-
very bad breakfast
The room was stunning, quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable.. The breakfast was excellent!
LOVED the room (although the TV remote was a bit beaten up as the battery cover was gone - TV itself was a pretty old model and for a hotel of this caliber, I think should be upgraded, esp in a suite). It's also a touch odd (and inconvenient) that there are no restrooms on the ground flow, which is a touch inconvenient if one is dining in one of the hotel restaurants. I didn't appreciate that check-in was around 45 minutes delayed, but did appreciate the fact that I was offered a free drink at the bar.
Kind staff
Hallway needed vacuuming Breakfast was not special
Beds were comfy and room was spacious and quiet.
Totally overpriced! This hotel is in serious need of major renovations. This hotel is rated in top 10 in Toronto but it is not worthy of this ranking. Our room were run down and stained. Location is great but if the weather is not good you do not have direct access to the subway to avoid the elements. Staff was friendly but that was but that was not enough to overcome paying so much for accommodations that were totally not worth it.
Suite was gorgeous and comfortable!
The bed, linens, shower, and towels were excellent but the pillows were not. Also we had a super meal in the dining room.
The information in the room on the Spa was incorrect and listed the couples massage as $250 when but when we got to the spa, it turned out it was $300. Also, the TVs didn’t work very well and twice we had to call someone to fix them for us. And again the information listed in the room stated that you could rent movies but that turned out not to be correct either. The information in the room should be updated and current. Thank you!
Location was super. Hospitality great. Interior design.
Lack of non alcoholic beverages in the room. We also were a bit disappointed by the size of the room, since it was described as a two room facility.
Bed was wonderful, also rooms very quiet - combination makes for a good nights sleep . I enjoy reading to music before bed - the iPod speaker radio combo on the nightstand had GREAT sound.
Not really a fault but had packed the swim suit was looking forward to using the pool - it was closed for repairs.
Good bathroom, after bath plug had been repaired. Great location.
No water in room, which is normal in a luxury hotel. Had to wait all day for glasses and cups to be cleaned and then had to ask for this to be done. Should be done when room is cleaned. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was the worst I have had for years. Some staff had a good attitude others did not. Need to learn the customer is always right and not to try to talk down to residents when they ask reasonable questions.
Fantastic, friendly, happy staff. Comfy beds. Great live entertainment - piano player in the bar. Good food. Great spa and amenities.
Berkfast is very bad and cup cake is not eat very bad and nothing any things for eat
Beautiful old world decor, really different and intimate
The room service food was not great
Location was very convenient
Wedding reception on arrival night, so noisy and crowded till very late. Room is very old, air conditioning didn’t work. Though we pre-booked an extra bed, the hotel added a significant charge. Unexpected electricity power failure with no previous notice for the whole last night, no compensation at all Worst experience during a 30 night trip for the whole family.
Excellent area for high end shopping. Very close to ROM. Historical building.
Far enough from the entertainment district. Smells like an old church. Shower handle fell off during use.
Very nice location and wonderful room
Location
Is not an 5 stars hotel!
The hotel was generally very quiet tucked away on side street. Big comfy rooms. Good shower.

There was a wedding there on the Saturday we arrived and the noise went on till 1.00am. We couldn’t sleep after long flight. We never managed to speak to Michael the manager. He didn’t seem to appear for the 4 days. If we had been told about it before hand or offered a discount before we booked it would have been fair.
Great location right at Toronto's shopping mile and Queen's Park. Very British with afternoon tea and first class service.
Skip the breakfast.
Stayed there for the Royal Wedding viewing and it was a wonderful experience. Service was impeccable and the facility is an icon among hotels.
Decor is old school elegance. Food was lovely and service fabulous. Pool was perfect for a relaxing swim...and open very early. The staff is very accommodating. Bed linens, robes and Nespresso in each...
The beds are an odd size and very uncomfortable. We booked a room for 3 and ended up with a room that had 2 beds that were inappropriate for anyone over 5’8”, and clearly a full size bed (hardly ...
All good
Nothing
Location for the Bloor Street shopping is very good
The hotel is in need of an upgrade. The lighting in the rooms is very dim, the hallways are painted black and the double beds are more like 3/4 in size.
soap in the bathrooom dried out my skin
The staff friendly attitude. The ample space and the homeliness of the room. The great location. The daily treats provided. The toiletries.
This is knit-picking, but having to sign on repeatedly to the WiFi network was irritating.
Butler service was excellent.
Carpeting was dirty and had musty odor in room/hallway. Bathroom door handle was broken. Sink countertop was cracked.
I had a very comfortable bed, which is after all the main point of a hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the hotel is very well located. And Elijah the barman is a complete treasure.
It is desperately tired and in need of renovation - the carpets everywhere are tatty, furniture a bit creaky and generally everything everywhere wants freshening up. The air-conditioning in my room ...
The bed was super comfy, the room large and opulent. The staff were attentive and friendly. The lounge bar especially lovely. The turkey club sandwich - AMAZING. All in all a beautiful hotel.
The staff was great, the location is right on point and the room size is unexpectedly large. Beautiful ambiance.
The hotel is older and made some settling sounds throughout the night. Didn’t bother me too much, but sensitive sleepers may not enjoy. I found the lack of a central light switch kind of annoying.
The location in downtown Toronto is excellent, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and cultural centres. The staff were most accommodating. We felt really welcomed.
The restaurant was a disappointment. Our dinner was merely ordinary and the décor is somewhat bizarre. We were surprised, given the hotel's long-standing reputation. Maybe it was an off-night.
Good location
The fixtures, fittings and furniture in the hotel are tired and worn down.
The room was gorgeous. Lots of space and up to date amenities. Excellent stay.
The beds were hard
Staff were accommodating and tried really hard to make us happy. Thank you Brett, Danielle and Sal and everyone behind them keeping the promise they made to us.
Owner of property seemed distant. We said "Good Morning," but he did not respond.
We received a free upgrade which was wonderful. The breakfast was lackluster but high tea in the Windsor Tea Room was exceptional. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. It was pricey but...

Location and room size
Shabby feel. Empty food containers and rubbish at the hotel entrance - odd stuff.
This was such a beautiful hotel. The rooms were gorgeous. The bathrooms were awesome. The staff was so nice and helpful.
The only complaint we had was the lack of service in the bar area. Took so long to get any attention.
Comfy bed, great bed linens
confusing tv remotes, outdated bathrooms
Quiet and understated
Breakfast service was a bit slow
great location. walk to bloom and yorkville. U of T nice outdoor patio
decor very old fashioned and stuffy. expensive breakfast

Beautiful traditional off-room suite and our hosts were really lovely people. The quietness was fantastic, and we were only about 100m from the village main street.
We would have loved if there was a breakfast option, but they are not setup for breakfast. There are plenty of lovely cafe's near by so it wasn't an issue and we knew this at the time of ...
Breakfast could be better. Not much choice. Very nice staff and environment. A hotel like this should have fresh fruits and more choice
We've had a room with two beds for 4 people but the beds were very small. 120 cm broad. They've put up an extra bed when I asked for it. We booked the place to be able to swim after a long ...
Impeccable Service
We could not have been more pleased with the service. Friendly and helpful. We had several special requests for some medication that needed refrigerating and freezing ice packs. They didn't blink and had the items delivered to our room very promptly when we asked. Rooms were spacious, lovely and comfortable. If you like the charm of older architecture, this is the place.
Staff were particularly attentive and helpful.
Great hotel that appears well maintained on the inside. Looking out of the window noticed window frame rotting away!

Staff was very good, they went out of their way to engage us, ensure our needs were met and generally be very polite and helpful.
The hotel is showing its age and so while the location is exceptional the room price / quality equation doesn't compare to other newer premium hotels in the area that we've stayed at ...

We missed simple pleasures like easily available ice, easy access to our car (We needed to be escorted by a bellman to retrieve items from the car--all of which leads to quite a bit of tipping). ...
Nice historic place, a lot of character. Terrific location!
House keeping service wasn't good - Room service is not great.
Everything, A wonderful relaxing time. The bar staff just superb

Excellent location. Close to shops and restaurants. Their hotel bar is very cozy. Try their high tea!
No real complaints. The building is a bit older but it's quite charming.
