Classic Citizen M room; big bed, good shower and all the necessary facilities. The location was excellent. Right next to Little Italy, Soho and walking distance to Greenwich Village. The rooftop bar views were great too.

There is a community space right outside the hotel, which means of an evening you can get some ‘interesting’ characters loitering around. The cocktail waiters at the rooftop bar aren’t a good reflection on the staff at Citizen M. One was very grumpy, the other dismissive and the third was just not a great mixologist. We waited a very long time to get served and then the cocktail was average at best. It was a shame as the bar itself is very cool, showcasing 360 views of Manhattan Skyline.

The gym are really lousy. To small and badly equipped. The check in proces when you arrive as a group could also be a lot more easy and effecient

Cool(ish) design, nice tone-of-voice across materials, pleasant vibe (if you like that kinda thing), good spot - I like Bowery, not everyone would. Staff great and work across all parts of the hotel so play the kinda 'good to see you' game a bit which I'm a sucker for, especially after a couple of cocktails from the visiting bar team! Bed runs from wall-to-wall right by the window so sit up for a view, nice idea of door hanger to say that you don't need room cleaned and cost saved donated to charity (as well as small eco boost), great shower though took a good few minutes to warm up on 19th floor, good coffee available from properly early in the morning.

Generally a great stay, so looking for faults - marketing feels like it's trying a bit hard, I'd describe rooms as only okay, functional, quite narrow, iPad control gimmick more annoying than useful, easier to use wall switches, personally not overly keen on the screen-based electronic check-in (although there's staff to assist so why?). Final invoice document very difficult to break down between taxes and costs.
