There was lots of space - a small bedroom, living room/dining area and kitchenette. The kitchen was quite well equipped. Everything was very clean. Johnny, the manager, was a lovely guy who tried to be very helpful. He even called Alyce, the owner, so that I could pick her brain about planning our trip, which was much appreciated. The coffee at the cafe was excellent.
While centrally located in Casco Viejo, Casa Sucre was in a fairly noisy area, especially at night. Even the courtyard off our room was noisy from the outdoor air conditioning units, so it was not a relaxing place to sit. We found Casa Sucre to be overpriced in terms of the amenities offered. Our sheets were not cotton, but microfiber, and they were placed directly over a crinkly plastic mattress pad (not classy). There were no luggage racks, so our suitcases had to be kept on the floor. There was nowhere to put our toiletries in the bathroom - no shelf or cabinet. Towels were thin. The shower had barely enough hot water with low pressure. The toilet seat broke off. The industrial toilet paper holder and cheap hanging plastic shelf in the shower were unappealing, as was the 2/3 empty plastic body wash container placed on it. (I think it's laudable to avoid individually wrapped soaps, but liquid soap can be dispensed from attractive containers). Internet service was sporadic at best and our TV was stuck on one channel. The owners were not on site, so it was necessary to get needed assistance from an employee who was not consistently around. The included breakfast, taken at the cafe next door, was a disappointment. The food was pre-made, prepared off-site. So "eggs and bacon", for example, were a patty served on a bagel. We later checked out a much more upscale hotel in Casco Viejo, on a quiet square and quite beautiful, for no more than we spent.

The location was central, but noisy, room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Shower was good, one morning no “hot”water, but it wasn’t “cold” either. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The general areas were nicely decorated. Breakfast choices were good, coffee like most in Panama was excellent.
The area directly around the BnB was noisy. They have added quality windows and doors to the balcony but street noise from Tantalo Restaurant and traffic noise at night and in the morning still gets through.

Casa Sucre We had a room on the upper floor (steps). Fridge and microwave, double bed, corner balcony overlooking an active intersection. A shared living room added space. Great location. Needed to wear the provided earplugs on Sunday night. Other nights were quieter. There are other rooms and apartments here you might want to consider. Great Breakfasts included at their Coffee Shop on the corner. Owner Alyce makes it all happen. An American transplant, she connected us with airport rides and personal tours.
