Panthea Holiday Village Water Park Resort

The only staff to show us any empathy or curtosy was Lynn the receptionist and Panagiotis, the restaurant manager who unlike the rest of the staff were a credit to the hotel.

Our impression of the staff were very rude, they were not willing to help in any way, we asked for ice cream for our children which was stated on the menu, this took a complaint to the manager to get the ice cream upon receiving it ,it was thrown on the table in an unpleasant manor. At snack time it clearly stated 3-5 we arrived at 4:50 and got a very abrupt waiter who told us we were too late, he reluctantly got us snacks, he wouldn't even let us move a chair from a vacant table to seat us all. The main toilet in the hotel was stained with faeces which we notified the front desk, several hours later it was still in the same condition. Ants all over our hotel room a leaking balcony roof and no plug for the built in hairdryer. The food was below average and quite often had no labels so we didn't know what we were eating. The biggest disappointed of the holiday we paid extra to stay New Year's Eve, as stated by the programme welcome drinks were at 8 and to be seated by 8:30 and eating , we arrived well in advance with our children and we were still not seated by 9 with many of the other guests, our children became tired and upset as they were hungry which resulted in us having to go to a fast food chain. Upon requesting to speak to the manager (Mr Straudos) to explain our disappointment he refused to acknowledge our comments and literally turned his back and held his hand up to our face. The distinct lack of amenities and entertainment for the children, dispite an email prior to the holiday to make sure there would be children's entertainment provided. There response in the email was during the winter months there will be animation activities during the day, the only connetic entertainment for the children was a mini disco on the second evening which lasted a whole 9 minutes ! The kids play park was unfit for purpose with there being one slide which had a hole in it ! A very poor experience ...

Clean and modern rooms.

The lack of kids activities even though we asked before booking if there were any during this time. The one night which had a mini disco it lasted all of 9 minutes! Also the only bit of children’s play equipment was broken (see photo). There was a New Years celebration taking place which would have been fine but the lack of planning meant we were still not sat at our table by 9:15pm. No one in the restaurant was even eating at this point. We had 2 young children who were both tired and hungry which resulted in us going elsewhere for food even though it was all-inclusive. The hotel manager was very rude and did not try to resolve any of the problems and instead started shouting and walking away. In our welcome pack it highlighted that ice cream was available throughout the day but were told they didn’t have any. After mentioning this to reception we had some tubs thrown on our table by the most miserable of staff. The lobby toilets were absolutely disgusting. We again mentioned this to reception who said they have had problems with these before but yet not cleaned or checked as frequently as they should. The cleaning rota was a month out of date. The hairdryer in the room was attached to the wall but had no plug socket! The food in general was below average and there was no “child-friendly buffet”. We also went to order bar snacks 10mins before the allotted time ran out only to be told they were closing so didn’t want to do it. Again, after speaking to reception we did he our food bit they seemed very reluctant to do so. By far the worst hotel we have stayed in and definitely not a 4-star hotel as stated!
