Simple check in polite, friendly staff
Hot breakfast was cold but maybe it was just an off day
Excellent location, walking distance from cafes, shopping centre, underground, all public transports. Staff was very nice.
Nothing
A really nice stay
This new ( renew) part of the hotel.
This hotel have 2 wings, one he same building as the reception is old and update. The other is renew and better. Its ddifficult to classify an hotel like this.
Clean Organized 24-hour staff
The staff are supportive

Very good value for money. I would repeat.
No mini bar and the bar closes early
Breakfast is fine
Old and very basic hotel. Rooms require significant refurbishment, sounds isolation is poor
Location is excellent. Taxis available 24/7. Connection to airport under ten minutes. Bedroom was excellent. Clean and powerful over-bath shower. Nocturnal noise woke me. Really loud from overhead Railway (guessing). Forgot to ask Fernanda at Desk. Breakfast was adequate.
Need more chairs in rooms. Asked for wake up call, never did get a call
Clean, the staff is friendly and accommodate.
Tv and AC needs to updated.
Location wise is great. The access to other areas is very convinient even to go downtown as well as the Portela airport.
The size of the room and bed.
The cafe nearby
Room should have been ready on arrival No parking facilities Plane noise International socket adaptors for 3 pin mobile chargers, no iron in room. No coffee or Tea facilities in the room
Breakfast & location are good
Location
The room and breakfast were OK.
There was a party in the neighborhood and I couldn't fall asleep because of the noise
The standard of the room was higher than we expected for the price. Possibly because it was not in tourist hub of Lisbon but there was a metro stop close by.
It would have been nice to be able to make a hot drink in the room.

You are forced to pay in advance or, at least, during the check-in procedure, A day before my arrival I received a mail: "In order to guarantee your booking and avoid a cancelation, please proceed with the payment, using the following address: (secure page with SSL certificate)" - I was sure that my reservation was confirmed by credit card via booking.com. If it was the case what meant: "to avoid cancelation"?
I would love to have a plate, fork and knife in a number.
The room was very small more than normal
Space of the room
I went to do a Lisbon A Winning Team E-hunt (tablet treasure hunt) after the trauma of easyjet cancelling my flight it was nice to get to the hotel clean up then get into Lisbon to collect clues to treasure hunt. Room was great clean tidy quiet plenty of sockets and usb so I could get 23 ipads charged for next day. Shower was good, bed comfy, staff were good. Easy to find hotel (though I missed the bus stop from airport as had not realised I should push stop button on bus)... Think its either first or second bus stop after airport. Oh also has shops resturants bank nearby
No problems
Needs more facilities in room
Confortable bed, clean room.
One elevator, very small and slow. Plumbing was very loud during the night.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Looks like an old hotel that was refurbished recently. The room was clean, spacious and silent. Inside the room we had all the necessary appliances and the bed was very comfortable. Regarding location this hotel is far from the main touristic attractions, however, we can reach easily the tube station (5min walking).
Due to the fact that this hotel exceeded our expectations is difficult to point improvements. What I can say is that despite the fact that the lifts were new I only saw two for a 10 floor building.
Everything else was great
A little bit old fashioned rooms.
Very beautiful room
I don’t think they should charge for using the iron ur for some ice absolutely ridiculous!!!
I didn't like to pay for city tax it was suppose to be included in the price I paid for the room --in boking.com says everything was included I didn't have to pay nothing else?
Easy access to the city center. Bus station nearby. As a tip, Uber services are very good and at a good price. I didn't have breakfast, because I had the flight very early in the morning.
The small surface of the room, only a power outlet at the bedside table, the loud noise due to the planes, the airport being very close.
Economical, close to Campo Pequeno and therefore 5 min. on foot to metro/bus.
Not so clean room, old furnished with scratched walls.
I the room was too hot in the night, the air conditioner should be on in this summer time...
Location Many choices around to eat....
Payment for the garage stated one price the next a different price. Unhappy with front desk staff.
The front desk staff, as stated above.
Local restrauntsopen late plenty pubs and hotel parking for ease .
Having to pay for parking .. very tight to manoeuvre
The bed was very comfortable and the TV had 300 channels. There was a good range of soap and shower gel and the Shampoo was the best I’ve ever used
Location
Lot of noise
i liked the location
Very poor customer care
Location, very close to train station.
Extremely dated hotel , needs a complete refurbishment. Furniture was badly damaged and old, bath was tiny and had been painted and 70% of the paint had come off. The bedroom size was also extremely small, could just about walk at the bottom of the bed.
got stranded due to a delayed flight, hotel could be booked on very short notice, 24h reception
the rooms very really really small
The staff and the rooms
Location near underground was perfect.
The bath was in bad condition. Breakfast was the same during all my stay (3 days). The meal was not good.
the sympathy of employees
Few double beds.
I was travelling for work and the hotel was close to where I needed to be, but in view of a more touristy visit I would find the hotel to be somewhat far away from the interesting parts of town. It is, however, very close to the subway which is very easy to navigate, so getting to central areas is easy. The room was clean, but the bathroom was very dated and some fixtures and fittings had seen better days. The elevators in the hotel were also very busy, and I ended up using the stairs nearly every time. If needing to move with e.g. an suitcase, or if using stairs is an issue for other reasons, I imagine this would get quite inconvenient.
Very Central
At my check in, some of the staff was rude and not polite.
Nice bar and good location, easy to get to and walking distance to restaurants and the metro. Very friendly hotel staff who were very helpful.
No restaurant but this wasn’t too much of an issue as there was a lot of restaurants in walking distance. The room was a little on the small size but it was ok as we were out a lot during the day through to evening.
location and the staff
The room was really small, last century tv, the bathtub was only big enough for my feet and the room was dusty.
Helpful staff
I had a bed bugs in room 112
Not far from the airport (15-20 minutes, 8-10 Euros by taxi). Hotel provided an invoice with stamp and signature. Reception was open all night. I didn't have the breakfast since I left very early in the morning, so can't tell about it.
There are 2 (identical, I believe) elevators in this hotel and only one of them (which is not a service lift) goes to the reception floor and if you are hurry in the morning and take the wrong elevator (service lift), then it may disappoint you. I would recommend to make a note about the right elevator/lift and right floor with reception (for guests). Otherwise, it was not cleat to me, which button I should press to go to the reception? There were floors numbered 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, if I remember correctly. I would also recommend to make a wet cleaning more often in the room (against insects).
The location was very convenient, very close to metro station, walkable (though long) distance to beach. Grocery shops and a few restaurants around the corner.
The room was a bit dark. Bathroom door made squeaky noise. Size of the room was adequate but a bigger room would be appreciated. The sound insulation was not good enough. One could hear the sound of flushing upstairs.
The air conditioner because it was very warm thay weekend. The breakfast. The staff. Everything was good.
Nothing
Basic, but safe, secure and staff helpful
In need of a refresh
Overpriced, no way at 3 stars level.
Only 1 block to reach Entrecampos train station, very convenient for tourists
Bath in a shocking state, clearly needs revamping.
I was staying in Lisboa for work and chose the VIP Inn Berna for my accommodation because it was reasonably priced, located very near where I was working, and looked comfortable enough. All hotels are basically all the same anyway. I arrived late in the evening, and the check-in process was very smooth. The young woman on the front-desk was incredibly helpful and spoke immaculate English, assisting me greatly. Warm, tired, and in desparate need of a shower I ascended the elevator to my room which was clean and spacious. I put away my things and stepped into bathroom to enjoy a cold shower. The shower was attached to the bath and operated with the tap; using one of those manual valves to switch the flow of water between the tap and the shower head. I turned on the water and pulled the valve. Nothing happened. I then noticed a trickle coming out of the tap. "Oh," I thought, "the valve must not be set all the way." I pulled the valve and sure enough I had wrongly set it before, and as I moved it to its proper position I was hit in the head and thrown backwards. I'm not sure how long I was knocked out but I awoke confused and wet. After a few moments I realised what had happened. The force of the water erupting from the shower was great enough to knock me backwards. Blurry-eyed, still dazed, I climbed to my feet to resume the shower and was instantly beaten down again with a powerful but brief spray of water. I lay there for a time collecting myself as clarity of thought gradually returned, this would have been peaceful if it were not punctuated intermittently by attacks from the errant showerhead. I collected myself, and struggled to my feet. Bipedal once more I surveyed my surroundings, understanding fully for the first time the nature of my foe. The sheer force of the water birthed from the showerhead had animated it and…FULL REVIEW AT https://mrshll.uk/post/review-of-the-vip-inn-berna-hotel-in-lisbon
It was fine
- easy to find / good location - aircon, hairdryer, comfy bed - pretty quiet place but starting and landing planes can disturb - internet working very well - friendly staff
- last day TV stopped working - no open bar around midnight (not possible to buy snacks/water in machines) - a bin with towels was blocking entrance to my room (at 5th floor) as it was staying all the time at the corridor - bathtub usage can make mess in the bathroom
Very friendly staff and nice breakfast
The front desk staff was friendly. It was located close to entre campos train station
The woman at the bar was unfriendly, and rude. I asked for one ice cube in my glass, as I had bought some water at the market, and she refused, unless I paid 60 cents.....for one ice cube. The hotel was WAY overpriced. We paid $150.00 CND...not including breakfast...the walls were thin..I could hear every noise in all adjoining rooms. When someone flushed the toilet, or ran water in their bathroom, you would honestly have thought that someone was in our bathroom. The beds were hard, with old, heavy comforters, and the pillows..(One per person) were ridiculously thin. We paid for breakfast...it was just ok...canned fruit salad, weak coffee, horrible “orange juice”. There were scrambled eggs...little wieners (boiled), cereal, buns, cheese and sliced meats. By far the worst (and the most expensive) hotel that we stayed in over our entire 3 weeks in Portugal... I really wish I had looked longer, and had stayed somewhere else.
Good location, there are metro stations nearby and supermarkets for supplies. They provide you with towels, shampoo, soap and shower gel. Staff were friendly.
The rooms are very basic and outdated and for the money you pay per night you would expect to have a kettle in the room at least as well. It’s very noisy (car horns and planes) and there was a power cut for at least 1.5 hours in the evening which left us in the dark in our room. Twice our key fob for the room door did not work which meant we had to go to reception and queue with people booking in just to get back into our room. The mattress is a little uncomfortable.
I appreciated the professionalism and kindness of staff who managed to help us moving to Vip Zurique which is a really a 3star hotel (Berna unfortunatelly doesn´t deserve today such qualification).
The rooms we used should not be in the market. Bath tube painted, falling wall paper, poor bed linen, Tv without international channels.
Friendly staff
Breakfast was not good.
Location and staff.
Really closure of bar/cafe etc
Nice Location, easy to get any sore of transportation to anywhere. You can walk and also a lot of restaurant near by.
The television in my Room was not LCD and no Freezer
Nothing
The room and toilette. Hotel extremely old, we could not open the curtains they were so old. Bath a disgrace. Also they could not allocate us a double room. when i complained they said that i had to complain to booking not to them
Was nice but I supposed it was included in the booked price.
Pay the breakfast
Good and clean rooms plus a Very friendly staff
Sometimes the lift is slow and overleg occupied.
Breakfast was good
The tv s was not flat screen, it was very old and broken remote to operate.

The staff was nice, never getting in the way, taking care of everything that was asked of them quickly and with a smile.
Awfully antique decoration. Old and worn out furniture and items. The pipes were taking forever to drain the water from the bathtub and the sink. You could hear EVERYTHING from the 'next room neighbours': each conversation, tv, each time they went to the bathroom. It is NOT a proper 3 stars hotel. Way too expensive for what it offers.
The bed (a peaceful night) and the fact that I had movies in english on TV.
Layout of the room was strange (wardrobe was difficult to access, and no real chairs). I would change the bed to a smaller one and put it between the wardrobe and the bathroom wall.
Location, cleanliness, they changed the bed sheets every day and the bath towels too. Near the airport ( easy to find the right bus), For us was an important point. Easy ( not near the heart of the city ..but easy ) to go visit the sights if you know exactly what you want.
The hotel is old and it has a ..... smelly old stuff . The wall painting ....bad. The furniture old too.
Close to Entrecampus station. Campo Pequeno metro and bus routes to City centre.
Lifts a bit slow. Key card didn't work on return from breakfast.
Breakfast excellent.
Beds not very comfortable.
Very good the staff, very clean place . Near to many restaurant, also the transporte Near to the hotel. .
Everything was perfect to me and everyone should go. I will recommend.
The location
Little dust in the curtains
Just the location.
Breakfast... To much noise... you could hear everything from other rooms...
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The elevator longest time waiting ever! When I woke up in the morning there was water dripping in the bathroom from the upper floor. The hotel seems to have some maintenance unsolved issues.
Everything was perfect. Marina, the manageress was particularly helpful and as I had to check out at 0430 to make a flight, someone even got up to make sure that breakfast was available for me at that time!
Staff, location.
The air conditioner and the shower. The first night I was frozen and the shower wasn,t working easily.
No cold milk for cereals. Lifts a little slow, 2 small lifts for 10 floors
The staff was nice and the location is great!
I think the bedroom and bathroom (even the common areas) should be remodeled they look kind of "old". The bed was "confortable".
Location
Room was too small for 2 people.
Good location.felt at ease the whole time there.would go there again
Better view go for front room
Location
Localization
Heatinh very bad and also the maintenance of building
Nice. Restaurants
Hotel needs updating Noise at night
Restaurants were good and nearby. Staff was pleasant and very helpful
No hot water in first room , booked double room but had single for the first night. Bathrooms had mildew around tiles and smelled. Walls were peeling and rooms were musty. Hair dryer was from the 50s and didn’t work. The reception area was beautiful but did not carry on to the rooms. Only 1 elevator worked and it was the size of a closet( not a walk in )! Breakfast was way overpriced for what you got
Very good
Every
Location
Wall papers not presentable for a 3 star hotel. Beds a bit worn down and blankets really old.
Good value for money in a location close to train station, and taxi-ride distance from the airport. Breakfast quite good and definitely plentiful, too.
Some fittings a bit shabby and past their best, but all working.
Location is ok.
Noisy, poorly clean, small, scary bathtub.
The location of the hotel was the only positive thing of the staying.
The personnel, the facilities (the bathtub paint was falling ?!), the breakfast (the bread was not of the day) were not good and do not justify the 3 star hotel, and the money spent.
The bed was comfortable. Wifi was good. The TV had English channels. The location was conveniently near metro, bus, and Aerobus stations.
The heater was a bit loud and I could also hear the rush of water from the next room's bathroom.
The location was good, the price was decent. It was very good that we could leave the baggage there before the check-in.
It looked clean, but after we've moved the beds, there was dust under the beds. The heating is not great, it's an old machine that is quite loud and doesn't heat very well.
Easy access by metro. Pleasant area. Okay room.
Bath tub is painted over with yellowish paint, which comes off in ugly flakes. Narrow corridors half blocked by cleaning utensils. WiFi too bad for voice calls.
The breafast deal were rejected
Comfort. Friendly staff. Nice and clean enviornment.
Early checkin option was not available.
Simple to reach A little bourgeois feeling
Noisy lift noise in room
Very good location. They have luggage room.
Very old hotel. Need renovation. Uncomfortable.Awful shabby bath, never seen before. Bad smell in the room.
I liked the location, convenient for early flights because it is near the airport(about 10 mins by uber)
It needs some renovation and for some reason you can hear when people in nearby room flush their toilets, you can hear a loud sound of water going down pipes.
Not a lot really
Not like the pictures must come from different hotel ground floor ok rest very shabby
The property at the entrance and hall was nice. Reception were very kind. They have a good elevator comparing to other hotel's elevator. The rooms were in a good size, but they are too old. The ...
The room were no as clean as it could be. It was also too old. There was too much noisy during other rooms and an avenue nearby. For allergic people I would not recommend this hotel, because for ...
La localizacion. Transporte publico a mano.
El personal de recepcion muy poco atento. No nos atendieron adecuadamente. Por otro lado el personal de la limpieza desde las 7 de la mañana dando gritos por el hotel molestando. Y el aparcamiento es de pago aunque seas huesped.
