The location near city hall was good.
Installing a working air conditioner to the rooms would be nice.
Free parking. Walking distance to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Elevator to all levels, including parking garage. Cleaning service left us a bag of towels at our door even though we had do not disturb sign on door (most places skip cleaning when you have the sign up, but it was great they left us extra towels!). Wi-fi.
Parking garage looked sketchy with old mattresses/junk laying around. No microwave/fridge. Outdated.
paper thin walls! But there's parking!
The location was nice right in the civic center. The best part by far and probably the reason I chose this hotel was for the Parking. It's free guest parking! There's potential in this hotel to be something better but it needs a lot of updates.
The walls were paper thin, we heard music and regular conversation from the room next door at 2 am, I didn't want to complain - they weren't even being loud and obnoxious, just having normal volume levels of conversation - and yet you could hear it all! The room is outdated and furniture is not in great shape. Yelp wanted of bed bugs but we didn't encounter any! Still it isn't the kind of place where you would be surprised to find them. They should put some effort into making those hotel better - it feels like they tried to a decade ago and have since forgotten to keep it up.
way better than I expected!
Room, linens, and mattress were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gated parking area below the lobby made me feel more secure about leaving my vehicle overnight. The location was a short Uber ride from AT&T Park. It was a great spot to crash after a baseball game. I would stay again.
The bed was definitely not luxurious or comfortable, but it served its' purpose. The inn is old, and could use some updating, but my room wasn't in disrepair.
You get what you pay for...
Well located, but wish I would have spent the extra $40 to stay at the Motel 6 nearby.
The shower was moldy and the beds uncomfortable.
Mediocre at best
I know it's in SF but $150 a night is not worth it for this dump
Okay
Great location in the heart of San Francisco. Easy to locate and great walking distance to major bus stops. Saved a lot of money.
Nearby sketchy neighborhood. Room had a huge water spot in the ceiling with wall and ceiling paint and debris coming off.
Not great
Nothing really
We weren't informed that our room was flooded and that we had to go to another hotel which was very ghetto.
If you're looking looking for a relatively cheap (by SF standards) place to stay, the Oasis is a good choice. We found it clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had showers with ridiculously high flow shower heads that are true delight (if not highly against code!) - we're talking a gallon a second if you want it! It's located in a nondescript neighborhood that is relatively safe after dark - most cheaper rooms than this will put you in neighborhoods you do want to stay in. It's not really near anything of interest except the Civic Center area, but it's pretty easy to get anywhere by taxi or mass transit. There is a Burger King, a sushi joint of untested quality, a Wallgreen's, and a hooch and general vice store within 100 yards - so all your base needs are met.
The place is old and run down. Very tired. Like you walk up to the front door and the automatic door is broken, so you have to slide the front door open by hand. But, past the front desk you walk into a tiny little courtyard with tables and chairs - and it does feel like your own little, relaxed and spartan sanctuary within the bustle of SF. So if you've got an open mind and half an ounce of adventure the place does have a certain charm. Think of all you can do with the $300/night you'll be saving versus a better, but nothing to write home about room you'd get elsewhere.
Liked the price, the location was pretty good and a bus stop close by.
A little out dated and could be cleaned better, attention to detail is not the hotels specialty.
The location was centrally located and safe. I liked that they have free parking. Huge plus! Awesome water pressure.
The hotel is dated. The door in the bathroom was swollen. Hard to shut. We didn't have fitted sheets. But again, for the price and location, it does the job.
-good location, its in the city itself -relatively cheap -the best part about this hotel is the FREE INDOOR PARKING, it is hard to find parking in SF, so it is a great place to leave your car in the parking lot and take public transportation or walk around. You can ask the front desk to close the gate for the parking lot at night, so nobody breaks into your car. -did not see any bed bugs -relatively quiet at night, it was March though -family friendly and secure for the most part -rooms are a bit outdated, but clean for the most part, you get what you paid for
-rooms are a bit outdated, but not a big deal for me -not really the hotel's problem, but SF has a homeless problem....its very apparent about 2 blocks away from the hotel.
