Close to the train station into Bern. Quiet, clean and dinner at resturant was good.

The room was quite clean. The breakfast was reasonable. The bathroom was ok. Apart from that, I can't honestly say much positive about the place.

There is really very little positive I can say about this hotel. The reception was *never* staffed. I had to check in and out at the restaurant next door. The two members of staff I actually saw didn't try too hard on the hospitality front. The "hotel" has the feel of a place that was probably quite nice in 1986 (when it was last refurbished), but could really do with a bit of a shake up. The dark and gloomy lobby makes you think that someone has closed the place, and the use of money-saving "motion detecting lights" means that you have to walk onto the pitch-dark landing before you get any light. It reminded me of being a student again. Fine for a place charging 50-60 francs, but not for a 130 franc "hotel". Avoid it, is my advice.

Nice staff, good restaurant, pleasant room (very good wi-fi signal) and enough breakfast buffet. Fast check-in and check-out. Free parking!
