NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace

Great location, cosy room, but extremely noisy

Location was great. The room was clean and comfortable.

The noise from the street was absurdly loud at all times of the night. The hotel provides earplugs by your bedside.

Great location near train station and city. Good views from the hotel. Room was large and bath was too!

Room was dated.

The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive. We were upgraded to a nice room. The breakfast was fantastic, probably the best we had had in a long time. The location is perfect for any visitor and Amsterdam is one of the most picturesque cities in the world. Also to note, people in Amsterdam (including all the hotel staff) were extremely friendly and ready to help. Loved it!

The first room I had was very noisy because the double glazing window was broken - they moved me to another room but I felt the first room should not have been available

It was so easy. Without exception all the staff were as helpful and friendly as could be. Service was first rate. Between them the bars/restaurants and Room service provided a good variety of meals and experience, no chance to get bored there.

I found the level of lighting a bit low/dull, particularly in the bedroom. I guess it is fine if you only sleep there, but not if you spend time in your room.

I had stayed at the Barbizon before and found that it was still up to the same high standards as previously experienced.
