Ưu điểm: We really enjoyed our stay in Palacio das Especiarias! Friendly staff, clean beautiful room, great breakfast, stunning building, nice vibe and perfect location! Would definitely come back!

Khuyết điểm: A bit loud in the morning, since we had a room under the breakfast area, we could hear people walking arround much.

Ưu điểm: Testy homemade cakes available for the guests + juice throughout the day (all for free) that was a surprise and a very nice touch/gesture, never seen before in any hotel. The staff was helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel quite old and special, quirky. Location amazing, perfect really.

Ưu điểm: Wow! What a delightful place to stay. The staff were all very pleasant and keen to help or fix any issue. Breakfast was excellent, and the juices and cakes were available to guests all day - fantastic to come back to after a day of exploring. We enjoyed the dinner with fado entertainment. Very special.

Ưu điểm: Breakfast, location, cleanliness, the super helpful staff ... all of it meeting much beyond expectations. The live music with breakfast (piano one day, sax the other) was a nice touch, and the library in the evening for reading was perfect.

Khuyết điểm: Not a quiet hotel, at all, and so for the light sleeper, a better spot is needed (especially for New Year’s Eve when the streets party til 6am).

Khuyết điểm: Sent several mails but never received an invoice including breakfast and cleaning charge, result: trouble with my company.

Ưu điểm: The room had its own bathroom. Tgd room was clean and comfortable. There was a blow dryer. There was an elevator. Dora, at reception was very helpful.

Khuyết điểm: The suites were not well marked from the street, especially at night and the number marking was confusing as there was an 89 and an 89A. I found locating it at night on my own very stressful. I took a taxi and would not have felt safe arriving on my own to check in.

Khuyết điểm: I had the feeling that the owners only care about money. Overpriced. We stayed there for 4 nights. No one asked how was our stay. Only they asked for money (city taxes) You need to climb a 100-150m hill (40% incline) to get there. Well, most of the city is like this. On the top floor of the building there are many apartments and all very small, even we were in the biggest room, still. The lighting is depressing and the bed sheets and linen need to be cleaner. There are multiple code locks to get into the building, into the floor and into your room, and up to the terrace which has no views are nothing there. This place needs maintenance.

Khuyết điểm: Steps in the hallway and very small elavator (not suitable for a wheelchair - luckily I can still get up and do a few steps, but perhaps this could be indicated better ...)

Khuyết điểm: The bed was really small, we are both 1.90m and could bearly fit.

Ưu điểm: New renovated room all accessories first class. Located at the top floor of an old building

Khuyết điểm: The WIFI did not work in the room. Staff not helpful a little walk from the center and from transportation

Khuyết điểm: We were not given with the code to open the building nor the room door, they did not answer the phone. We spent at least one hour to finally be able to get the room. It was around 10 pm, coming back from a long trip, we were very tired and were not able to get the room. The shower door does not close causing the bathroom to flood making it slippery.
