NH Madrid Ventas

The staff was very nice. The breakfast was very good.

The room was extremely hot. There was no option to reduce the temperature of the room. A member of the staff offered to change our room to a smaller one that was less warm. We strongly recommend having a thermostat in each room that allows reducing the temperature when it's substantially higher than the one outside.

Very basic, small rooms, overpriced, very poor rec

Room is modern and clean. Internet was free and working well, metro not too far away

Granted things get booked out in madrid on Saturday night - price paid for standard room of 161 euros was serious ripoff. Hotel not much different than IBIS. Took 20 min to find my booking and do check in. Check in process appallingly slow - there was a group ahead of me in the lobby and all on it more than an hour to get to the room (the group was not a last minute booking as was planned and booked in advance - so utterly invompetent team at check in). Hotel was ok but really no different than IBIS in term of room size, comfort, probably even poorer in terms of location. Has a pool but weather was no good - this could be the only difference. Breakfast was ok

Very nice, varied and healthy breakfast. Very friendly staff. Nice and tidy rooms. Hotel is situated close to in a nice and quiet area. Bus 43, 53 and 74 stops right on the doorstep (53 and 74 takes you to 'Sol' the city centre 10 min. drive) or you could take the metro that's a 7min walk. Supermarket Carrefour is just down the street.

I stayed for 3 days and didn't get a clean towel after the 1st night. If you get a hotel room to the street side, you can hear the taxis drivers chat really loud

The pool, but it was closed when raining.

Several things were broken in my room (tv, shower, a power socket). There was mould in the bathroom. The hotel is far from the downtown.
