Orchid Hotel and Spa

This is a very nice hotel. We met the owner who was a lovely man and would do anything to help you. All the staff in the hotel are very proffesional but also very friendly, the hotel has a family vibe. the rooms are a decent size, we opted for the sea veiw room which had a good sized balcony. Nice location as the hotel is in a quiet area but close enough by moped or taxi to all the shops and night life. The swimming pool is a good size and the spa is very nice. Reastaraunt had a good selection of food all good prices and breakfast was simple but very nice. Hotel is right on the beach.

It would take quite a long time to walk to shops and night life. but by moped it took us about 4 mins.

The tranquility that resides within and without the hotel. The great scenery around the hotel and the fact that it is away from the main buzz area at Patong Beach are great pluses to the location of this hotel too.

Though it is away from the busy area where all the activities are (which is nice), the flip side of the coin is that it is quite a distance from those places and requires time to walk there.
