C-Hotels De Rose Palace

I would of say good three stars due to the general condition of the hotel (terribly in need of a good renovation!) The staff was very friendly and helpful with every wish and issue - feels like home! Breakfast is also common for 3-Stars hotel, but breakfast-lady Alexandra makes you feel comfortable and very “Italian”! The hotel itself is situated approx. 20 min from Duomo by foot (btw it’s better to go by foot in Florence, cause it’s smaller as you think and taxi (except airport) has very high prices in comparison to other European cities). Rooms are very small (typical for old city-centers), but bed clothes and towels are clean and you have enough cosmetics for a daily hygiene.

Can be cleaner in the room. Generally the hotel needs renovation. You can not see anything in the mirrors in the hall or corridor - needed to be changed. Partly the ceiling plaster is hanging. But I’m pretty sure it can be a nice and a comfortable old-style hotel if all works are properly done.
