Hotel L'Orologio

Close to all the most important sightseeing spot in Florence and it is clean. But this things are not enough to go back to the same hotel or even to recommend it!

At first sight the hotel looks very nice, classical and maybe a little bit classy. But soon you will notice that the hotel is somewhat like to pretentious. The concept of watches everywhere is quite difficult to understand. There are mistakes made by the hotel, which indicates a lack of real interest for their customer, being sure that they will choose this hotel anyway because of their location. 1. The buffet for breakfast in general is acceptable to start the day, but it is not understandable that spoons and teaspoons were missing every morning of our four day stay! And asking the employees, they just limited to indicate the empty box where the spoons should had been stored. On the last day, we even couldn’t find glasses for the water/juices! 2. For unknown reasons, employers of the hotel starts to clean with a very noisy vacuum cleaner the bar after closing around 1:30 am!!! The noise didn’t let me sleep at all, since the noise continues till 3am!!! I don’t know if the noise were heard in all rooms, but in the room 114 above the bar, the noise were unacceptable, specially at this hour! On the first night, I called the reception to complain about the noise, but for the next nights the noise continued without any changes! I tried to talk in the morning with the manager, but at the reception I just received the answer that he or she is not available. As I said, it is very clear that this hotel have no interest in their guests. My conclusion is that the management really doesn’t care much about their customer! It has more an ambiente of mass tourism than individual welcomed guests!
