Mahekal Beach Resort

The area is amazing. The hotel is beautiful. Staff in the restaurant, common areas and room cleaning was really nice. It was my second visit, unfortunately this time was not as good as the first one.

I booked a taxi to the airport with specific requirements, they didn't do the reservation properly. The receptionist said it was not her responsibility and was extremely rude and hands off even though the bellboy told me it was their mistake. He did solved my problem and was very helpful. Only one restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner. AC didn't always work properly in the room.

Great location! Just down the street from great restaurants and from shopping. We ate mostly outside the resort because it was way cheaper and had so many options for good food! Food at resort was good, but definitely more $. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Rene at the front desk, Samuel The manager, Antonio Concierge, and Miguel (helped with baggage) who became my buddy! They were great!! They made sure to make my birthday trip special! I would stay here again!

First room we upgraded to by the infinity pool was very noisy. But we were moved. We did hear base some nights, but it’s down the street from some popular clubs. Beach is not private but apparently none are in Mexico. Had some bug issues in our room. They do provide spray. Had about 5 though and I hate “water bugs” more than anything. That was unfortunate. Didn’t ruin stay though.
