Excellent staff with one exception in lounge/bar on 36th floor. Waiter addressed me as "Boss", failed to give menu, did not mention kitchen was closed until I ordered and did not get drinks in timely manor. His poor performance stands in stark contrast to the rest of the staff. Good breakfast buffet and health club.

Best hotel ever
with good price this hotel was far the best hotel I've ever stayed. Staffs were super nice. I told at the front that it is the first day of my honeymoon, they gave me a room with better view (maybe?) I mean, superb view with both harbour bridge and Sydney opera house. They even sent us complementary champagne and a box of chocolate. Loved it so much! thank you Shangri-la staffs!

Concierge floor problem
They food and service were good on the Horizon floor.
We were traveling with our 12 year old,who is very well behaved. We were told by our waiter that the 7:00 hour was drawing near and my son would have to leave the lounge. Which we obeyed every night and made our son leave the lounge. But on our third night, for some arbitrary reason,the horizon lounge manager let other children stay in the lounge passed the curfew hours, after he had requestied our son to leave. We questioned him and he flipped flopped with his story and then announced that all children were allowed to stay in the lounge for the rest of the week due to the Easter holiday. We just didn’t like when some people aren’t made to obey the rules and the manager fails to enforce them.

My husband and I had a fantastic one night getaway. It was amazing, service outstanding and relaxation perfect.
Separate tub and shower. Separate beds available and view. Ease and immediacy of taxis. Free wifi
Price -- they are "luxury" in price only Also they lie about the construction that goes on there -- they DO work early in the morning before stated repair hours

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient coupled with the room service staff who were professional, courteous and friendly.
With many people at breakfast it was obvious the staff had difficulty coping with large queues, tables not set properly, inattentive staff.
Great hotel location affording some rooms great views. Excellent bathrooms, comfortable beds. Lots of people obviously love it - maybe it helps if you upgrade to the Horizons Club, though I don't see why you should have to, especially as these rates not always on offer.
Reception shambolic: no welcome, no porter, no offer of help with bags, no offer to join loyalty programme, told me the Shangri-La in Singapore is tired and needs updating! No apology for not correctly processing reservation. Horrible view of motorway toll booths. Annoying things in the bedroom like unplugged lamps, missing glasses, grubby hotel directory. Food and beverage not good. Saturday night the locals all book up the top floor restaurant and fill up the adjacent bar. Reserve days in advance or you have no chance. For a drink this leaves the Lobby Bar. Neon-lit chilled food cabinet, no music, no atmosphere, bright lighting. Nasty. Only available food outlet The Cafe. Horrible buffet. Dreadful, expensive, over-rated.
