Ưu điểm: Lovely hotel, everywhere is very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The grounds round the lake are lovely, with a boardwalk so you can walk through the grounds, also a short walk to the beach. Breakfast great, had a large choice, something for everyone. Room was a good size, clean and nicely decorated, good to have a balcony. Walking distance to the Marina which has loads of restaurants. We will be back!

Khuyết điểm: The sofa bed is horrible very uncomfortable. The indoor pool is very small and had no chairs inside and not very clean, people were coming in and out so it was always cold inside.

Ưu điểm: No information beach club closed when booked this should be noted for October. No shop near to buy supplies for apartments 10-15 min walk per day. Pool bar rarely open only saw it once during the week there. Got a huge bite on face with swollen face for 5 days on awakening!

Ưu điểm: Very nice resort hotel with a beautiful overprized golf next to it. The apartment is huge and comfortable and very quiet for a good night rest. Lot's of swimming pools and a very luxuries sauna complex. The biggest of Portugal. Worth a visit.

Khuyết điểm: When we arrived and went to our apartment the curtain was hanging down which made the room look untidy and there was no kettle in the kitchen. We phone reception and both things were put right.

Resort itself is lovely, with great facilities, free beach towels, 2 different pools, gym etc. Stayed in the 2 bed apartment, plenty of space, great facilities, including washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen - overall a fantastic place to stay. This is my second time staying and I have already booked to go back.

Ưu điểm: This elegant and comfortable hotel had everything we were looking for. The spacious room had comfortable beds (our priority), and a spectacular view over the Marina area with its many restaurants and luxury yachts. It had a balcony where we could sit and look out over the harbour. The breakfast dining room was large and pleasant which included an outside terrace where we could eat outside, weather permitting. There was a varied selection of delicious food, all beautifully set out, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. The pool and garden area was extensive and gave easy access to the beach. It was such a pleasant place to sit in the sun. The indoor heated pool was also large and we used it as It was too cold for the outside pool. All in all a lovely hotel.

Khuyết điểm: It would have been good to have had a bidet in the bathroom, and we didn’t like the loud music in the Reception area, but these are minor complaints, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Khuyết điểm: I have never visited a hotel before where you had to pay so much extra for small things. It didn’t say anywhere the pool wasn’t heated. It was freezing. Cruel for children to look at. €11 to use the spa. €9 for an hour of pool. €7.50 to get a bottle of wine open, and both fuzball tables in the kids play room charged !!!!We had to upgrade to a bigger room upon arrival because we had a 10 month old baby with us even though it says on the website babies are free. This cost €200 extra. All of this obviously had a negative impact on our holiday.

Khuyết điểm: Food choice is average. Either a very upmarket restaurant, a fish restaurant or a limited buffet. Very little to do on an evening so you need to leave the hotel to entertain yourself which is limiting as there is nothing in walking distance. Bar area is a little soulless.

Ưu điểm: I stayed a couple of nights here at end of Oct. It was a pleasant experience. Check in and check out was quick and efficient. I was half board so breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast was buffet style with all you could want and dinner was fine, if perhaps a little limiting on the choice of items on the a la carte menu available. Location is great - just a few steps from either the marina or the beach. Room was fine with small balcony and table/chairs. Wifi worked in my room. No noise issues - although I don't think the hotel was very full when I stayed. They accommodated my late check out request with no issues. All in all, a fine experience.

Our room was more like a suite with an excellent sun terrace that had table and chairs and two sun loungers. An excellent breakfast buffet with hot and cold choices. Lovely breads and pastries. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Ưu điểm: Classic beach front resort hotel. Spacious room, with a seating area/table/chairs. Great bathroom. We got lucky and got a 6th floor room facing the ocean. WHAT A VIEW! Separate restaurant for breakfast with a great buffet. Lots of dining options nearby.

Ưu điểm: After reading reviews I was dubious about hotel but no worries at all, rooms were roomy, modern and clean, breakfast was decent and plenty full and staff helpful if needed anything - location was brilliant and visited the onsite coffee shop and Italian restaurant regularly

Ưu điểm: Location - but as a frequent visitor to Vilamoura, I knew that anyway. That is the only point in its favour.

Khuyết điểm: Car parking poor. Had to request a kettle for the room. Breakfast poor with very few hot options. Coffee was terrible. Had to pay to use the in-room safe. Huge groundworks being undertaken on the beach side of the hotel. Diggers and construction traffic noise all day long from 08:00am - this was not mentioned prior to booking.

Khuyết điểm: Rooms were dirty! Walls looked liked they hadn't been wiped down in a long time. The carpets on the sides of the bed looked as if they hadn't been washed in years. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, it's a mediocre 3 at best.

Ưu điểm: The housekeeping was good. The location was excellent and view from the sea facing room was perfect. The buffet breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly.

Khuyết điểm: We stayed for a fortnight. Last week in Oct and first week in nov. Basically we had a lovely stay and would go again but we do have the following comments: The first week the bar was entertainment patchy and low quality (apart from the Portuguese folk dancers on the Friday eve). There was no entertainment the first week in nov and the bar area was dead despite the hotel being busy. It would have been good to have had a singer/ guitarist ( by contrast the Tivoli hotel next door had a great bar scene). The water in the urn and machine was not really hot enough for a cup of breakfast tea and also the water tasted as though it had been left to stand. I had a kettle in the room and that produced a much better cuppa.

Khuyết điểm: The shower in the en suite was not working properly, the fridge door was broken and we informed on the first day of arrival and it got repaired only on the last day. Then, when we met the Manager of the hotel at the farewell drink, he apologised for the inconvenience caused and oferred us a 30% discount, if we visit the hotel again.

Ưu điểm: The Pestana Vila Sol Hotel is so convenient for golf at the Vila Sol Golf Club, which is literally a few minutes walk. The courses (3 x 9 hole courses) are great, and the clubhouse, food and staff were excellent. The staff in the hotel were very friendly, especially Miguel, the bar manager, who was always smiling and very efficient. We did not stay in the main hotel, but in one of the rooms in the gardens. The bed was huge and the pillows were perfect. Both were so comfortable. The bathroom was also large. The room had good air conditioning and WiFi, and a patio. We ate out every evening, and it was easy to get a taxi into Vilamoura (10 mins and €10) and back again. Lunch at the poolside was just ok, although the burger with cheese and bacon (which was also on the menu at the golf club) was amazing. We would go again to this hotel if we were playing golf.

Khuyết điểm: The pool was very cold and the sun beds not particularly comfortable The room was not particularly well lit in the evenings when we were getting ready to go out. I would prefer to stay in the main hotel if I go again. We were not keen on the “English” breakfast, i.e. bacon and sausages, but there was plenty of other choices and the coffee was lovely.

Ưu điểm: We liked the staff who were all extremely helpful and friendly. It was really quiet at night until a group of enthusiastic golfers made a lot of noise getting out to golf before 7.00 am, but the hotel staff moved us to a quieter room which was much appreciated. The grounds were beautiful with a good variety of plants, flowers and bird life in its extensive complex. The heated indoor pool was lovely. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a good sized bathroom.

Khuyết điểm: The location was quite remote, and a taxi to the Marina cost 10 euros, but being November they had no shuttle service, which we think they should think about since it costs 20 euros to get to and from the Marina where everybody wants to go.I didn’t find the beds comfortable, but Reception and Housekeeping between solved this problem by giving us an extra thick bed topper which improved the comfort enormously.

Khuyết điểm: The mattress was very hard and even though I have a firm mattress at home I found it uncomfortable. When I mentioned this to the receptionist an extra feather mattress topper was added to the bed which made it a little softer. The best solution would be to add memory foam mattress toppers to all the mattresses for the comfort of all guests.

Ưu điểm: An amazing retreat,focussed mainly on health and well-being. Exactly what I needed! I slept for over 12 hours each night, tried the fitness classes on offer and ate the healthy food. A brilliant trip if you want to return home fitter and healthier than when you left!

Khuyết điểm: I would love the check in time to be earlier to make use of the time there better as I was only on a 3 day trip. It needs heavier weights and mirrors in the gym.

Khuyết điểm: The hotel and the staff was really nice however, we have booked this wellness/spa relaxing hotel to enjoy our stay in a calm place, but you should know that a disco is just around the corner, and it is really-really loud, some days we could not sleep till 6 am in the morning. That a little bit distroyed our stay and relaxation. The restaurant is very small, sometimes you need to wait for a free table, but the staff is really nice and helpful.

I had expected to be able to play golf within walking distance of the hotel - you need a car to stay here really . A lot of facilities are advertised but are not on site. I had thought we might use a bus but there were no timetables for the bus which was a bit inconvenient.

There is a disco very close to the hotel and the noise level was such that we had to close the windows to sleep.

Ưu điểm: Been coming to this hotel for quite a few years. Great staff, good breakfasts and a terrific restaurant attached to the hotel.

Ưu điểm: The hotel is dated, while clean it is very 1970s. The breakfast offering is very poor, they claim to be a 4 Star hotel but I've had better breakfast s in 3 Star hotels and B&Bs. Watch out for the coffee machine, while it makes the worst coffee in the world's it also managers to spray coffee all over you and the floor. So while the rest of the hotel is fine the breakfast is a huge let down.

Khuyết điểm: Location, it is close to more or less everywhere. Free car parking. Our apartment was large, with two TVs, good broadband. Staff are great especially the girl working in the Breakfast room. Watching the House Martin's and Swifts flying just outside the apartment catching flies is great.
