Loden Hotel

The room was lovely - we had a premium corner room which was bright and very comfortable. We ate in Tableau, the restaurant, one night and it was delicious - excellent cocktails, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, great Happy Hour offers. The staff throughout the hotel couldn't have been more helpful - all very naturally friendly without being overbearing. The hotel is in a central location close to Stanley Park, city centre shopping and sea planes to Vancouver Island. The gym was also great for a quick work out.

This hoteI is expensive for what you get. I didn't spot an iron in my room, but there was a steamer. On the night we arrived we were told that the restaurant was closed due to a plumbing fault and that as a result no room service would be available - this was disappointing as it was all that we wanted that evening having travelled all day. We managed to sort an Uber Eats, which arrived completely cold, but it would have been useful to have prior warning of this from the hotel.

Felt the staff was a little stuffy; thought the room was OK, wasn't what I expected (for the price). No ice machine?! Had to call for room service to have that brought up every day...? Maybe I'm not used to boutique hotels.
