Ưu: "JAL lounge at Haneda was the best I've ever been in. The Business Class configuration is terrific -- as private as can be on an airplane, without going First. And the JAL staff, on the ground as well as in the air, are Grade A diplomats, counselors, and -- in a word -- professionals. Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops."

This was not comfortable on a 9-hour+ flight. The flight attendants also woke us up everytime food was served so we could recline up seats."

I was surprised at how often they would go up and down the aisles checking on passengers, picking up trash, and serving small food items. To top it off towards the end of the trip they put toothbrushes in the bathroom so you can leave fresh, awesome."

Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

Before the flight landed, the head flight attendant came to greet every passenger and personally thanked them for choosing JAL. I've flown on JAL several times and thus had never happened so I was pleasantly surprised."

Ưu: "Direct flight (SAN-NRT) is always nice. (I don't know why JAL always charges more than other carriers.) Check-in desk personal was very kind & caring. Flight attendants are courteous and attentive. Good selection of current release & older movies. Bathrooms were always tidy & clean."
Khuyết điểm: "When I took this flight last year, food was terrible. So I requested "fruits plate" this time. It was literally fruits only plate. Same types of fruits in different containers. No rolls/bread/ice cream/nothing!!! If I had known this, I wouldn't have ordered it. Boarding procedure needs a vast improvement for economy class passengers."
Khuyết điểm: "Flight from Taipei to Tokyo was delayed and ultimately cancelled because of "mechanical failure". Many passengers on the flight including us had international connections through Tokyo, with only an hour between flights. It was clear we were all going to miss this connection, but in a frantic and haphazard way, the JAL crew's only solution at the gate was just to get us all on the next flight out to Tokyo (I believe via China Air) no matter what our individual final destinations were. They said "from Narita, they will handle all your connections to your final destination." This was a bizarre solution. Why not reroute us individually on other partner airlines, through other countries/cities, from this international airport in Taipei, like airlines usually do? (Also, all of this disorganized communication by the JAL crew at the gate was never translated into English, I just happen to speak a little mandarin and was able to understand what they were directing us to do). My wife was the one who searched for an alternative route on her phone (through HK instead of Tokyo) via their partner airline Cathay pacific and showed it to the JAL rep at the transfer counter, and through a series of radio and phone calls, only then did they say "there might be seats left", but they couldn't book the seats for us there. In order to make the flight, we had to sprint ourselves to a completely different terminal and concourse to another transfer counter to finally book our seats on this Cathay flight. Needless to say, our luggage did not get pulled from JAL in time to make it on the Cathay flights, so we are waiting 2-3 days for them to hopefully be found and sent to us. Overall, I was completely disappointed by the JAL staff, who didn't take responsibility or ownership of the situation, and who's solution to just fly everyone out to Tokyo, no matter our final destination, and to leave us to figure out our connections there was extremely short-sighted and irresponsible, and was a total disservice to their customers. I expect much more from this airline. On another note, we flew JAL from Boston to Tokyo, and Tokyo to Taipei: the food was terrible and food options were really subpar for an international flight, I would've expected much better from JAL and the dreamliner flight."

I will always look to fly ANA going forward. oh, and comfortable economy seats; enough room (I am 6'2") and no numb bum."

Thete was not sufficient time to arrive more than an hour early due to the fact Gimpo airport opens at 6am and the flight was at 7:45. When I arrived I was not allowed to check in or board and no one wanted to help me find out what to do. They suggested I call my ticketing agent. Thankfully they were helpful but they mentioned the ANA SHOULD have helped me find the next available flight but the representative kept repeating it was not her job. Finally she looked and said there were no available flights and tried to push me to buy another ticket through another company. My ticketing agent helped after she heard what happened and rebooked my flight for the next day. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but ANA staff at Gimpo were a bit of a nightmare to deal with"

When the turbulence died down, the flight attendants did not bother to complete the food service for snacks or drinks ordered. I had to get up and ask twice. They were not present much at all in BUSINESS CLASS. So that's why I rated the experience as poor. The international food choices are poor. They do not taste good. I think I have to stop flying ANA.
