I get a wheelchair assist (elderly woman with some mobility issues). The service person who brought me to the gate never showed up again to help with the boarding. Instead (??), the airline had me boarding LAST (most airlines have had me board among the first), and then sitting at an aisle seat (most airlines have me at a window). They asked me to wait to deboard until all passengers were off - that is standard. But because I was sitting on the aisle I had to get up and wait standing while the two other passengers on the row got out, and then go back to be seated. Very awkward"

Cons: workers know little English compared to ANA from checking in to the flight attendants. I think this was the most disappointing because the language barrier was frustrating when needing help going the right direction and having questions about checking in. The food was OK. The fruit tasted rotten and the food didn't seem as fresh either. The customer service was also mediocre. When I was on ANA airlines all the staff were very helpful and they seemed statisfied with their jobs. When I travel to ASIA again I will try and avoid Vietnam airlines."

Khuyết điểm: "Luggage check-in weighs luggage 22 kilos more than its actual weight and I was asked to pay almost RM650 ~ ($170), when I was asked to recheck they had to pull my luggage back and that took almost 40 minutes to later know that they made a huge mistake! 20 minutes to the boarding time I got confirmation that my luggage weights are correct and given a boarding pass to gate P11. walked to gate P11 and saw no one there, and there were no signs of what was happening, I checked Kayak app then I noticed that they changed the gate to L10 which is a totally different building ( 16 minutes before gate closure ), I had to run the whole airport to go to gate L10. not to mention that flight was delayed by a good 1 hour!"

I checked in with plenty of time and when I arrived in Singapore I was advised that not only could they not call to Panang to inquire about my bag -it had to be arranged through email but also bags aren’t destination scanned! I work for United airlines and it seems primitive not to know where a bag is in today’s day and age. The following day, knowing that I was departing back to the United States miraculously my bag showed up at the airport the same time as my minimum required check in time."

If AsiAsia are going to keep to this 7kg hardline they really need to do it across all airports and do it during the document check so the number of queues costumers are subjected to are minimized. I did purchase extra weight when purchasing the ticket however that weight MUST be in checked bags only. No margin here for discussion. Perhaps HotSeat passengers are less scrutinized??? This all may be just some transitional pains here and other airlines may follow the same model but in my 200+ flights on Nok Air this has NEVER happened. In fact, they (Nok) have NEVER weighed my carry on bag. Such a shame as the rest of the flight experience was above average. This hardline approach will be an issue if they continue until they beat their customers into taking or leaving it in my opinion. First AirAsia flight for me so the vets reading this will be smiling quietly to themselves ;-)"

We were told to check in online and add baggage at least two days before flying to avoid excessive baggage fees. So we paid them the first time, no problem. But AirAsias website is clearly coded by bricks with fingers. Because 6,5,4, and 3 days prior, it says such service is unavailable. Okay, we’ll do it at the airport then, it’ll be nice and easy just like at Changi. Only at this crappy subpar excuse for an airport, they live by no rules and want to charge $300USD - more than double what was charged at Changi - for two 20kg bags. 20kg, which my boarding pass and my booking both say we are entitled to, is suddenly 5kg in excess, so they want to screw your American wallet hard, long, and good because even if you had a good time, chances are you will never pass through the half baked gas station that is Langkawi again. Oh yeah and don’t bother paying for the WiFi - they get you good there too - 10mb which is basically a couple jpegs but you won’t get squat anyway. Literally nothing, and then suddenly your puny 10mb has disappeared, along with your money and what’s left of AirAsias credibility."

I take budget flights 2-3 times a year and this is the worst experience I've had with budget carriers (including the European budget carriers with dirt cheap fares and sometimes non-existence customer service)."

To think that we have to pay for such an essential item to life as WATER, when it is free on most other airlines....or at the very least you can get a glass of water. I couldn’t believe the charge price for a tiny bottle of water and the fact that you can’t even get a glass of water either. This is an outrage and a rip off to customers."

Had we known there was a method to follow, we would have to avoid the excessive fee."

Boarding queue also merged with another flight departing at a similar time, causing a massive bottleneck. Whilst on board, pre-ordered food was not served with cutlery and it took another 15 mins to get the attn of the stewardess to get the cutlery served. Would have been faster to just get it myself."

It was a short flight, so no real damage was done."

Also, this was our connecting flight - one in the middle of three flights going back to LA. For some reason, the gate attendant decided to have issues with my wife's passport, ticket, and greencard. All were valid. We bought the tickets and were in the middle of the flight, so it was late for any questions..... Took them awhile to determine that the greencard was really none of their business since we were flying through china and into the US on another airline. Luckily we were able to get on the plane before it left. Seems like the gate agents need better training on this."
Khuyết điểm: "We were running late for the flight due to long lines at immigration which was not Air Asia’s fault, but when we finally made it to the check-in counters we were misdirected several times and given conflicting information. On top of that after we finally checked in we had to go another counter to pay the baggage fee and we’re misdirected there too. After wasting 25 minutes we made the flight, but only because it was 30 minutes late."

For couples who bought tickets together, seats were assigned at different locations even though the flights were not full. This happened on all four flight segments for us. And it was not just to us. It happened to many other people on our flights. When I asked at the check-in counter at Singapore airport to change the seat assignments, the agent lied to me that there are no other seats available. In reality, there were many empty seats on all our flight segments."

Budget flight but they rip you off for baggage. I would do anything to avoid this airline in the future."

The customer service was lacking for those needing additional assistance. Also they charged for everything extra - food, check bags, etc. Tired to sell their merchandise the whole time. Budget/low cost, never again. Thai language was not an issue."

Khuyết điểm: "They were given passport and confirmation number The manager then insisted that I did not pay for baggage. Charged me a counter rate which was twice normal. When handed boarding pass it was for wrong person. They had not checked passport and confirmation number. Once checked they found out that I had paid for baggage. Refused to credit back my credit card and said it would take 6 weeks for a refund. They delayed our boarding and even after realizing their mistake they appeared utterly confused. Service personnel and especially the manager are totally incompetent. I would avoid this airline if at all possible."
Ưu: "The agents came and helped us get through the lines at Krabi Airport. Since Thai airports are awful, and never have enough staff, and don't manage queues, it was good that the agents came to help us cut in front of other poor souls who were waiting for later flights."
Khuyết điểm: "The seat I was as in hardly fit my legs. As soon as the lady in front of my leaned her chair back, my knees were painfully crushed. I'm thin, and only 183 cm tall, which is perfectly average. It's a crime that Air Asia can't even provide me a seat that fits me."

When I told the representative this, she only said that I needed to call customer service (no number provided) to complain. Staff on flight skipped over several rows, including mine, during beverage service. Despite being one of the priciest airlines I flew domestically within Thailand, they charged for everything. And not Thai prices. Will do everything in my power to avoid flying with Air Asia again."

Khuyết điểm: "We bought JetAir tickets because they were cheap. Thought we could get by with carry-on. But carry-on is only 7Kg, and that's like 15 lbs. Had to pay for check in the baggages and the extra weight came out to $65 to $80 extra per bag. When you add that back into the price of the ticket, then the ticket is comparable to a premium ticket. Plus, the service is so bad and they lost our luggage and gave us the runaround. Next time, we'll just pay the premium ticket with another airline and get better service and no run-arounds. So, the only cheap thing about this airline is the service. They nickle and dime you for everything, so you end up paying more and getting less. I've learned my lesson. Beware."

Khuyết điểm: "I made a mistake by booking the incorrect time for my flight - within five minutes I tried to rectify this. I could not get any assistance from Kayak (will never use their service again) so I called Jetstar. I had to pay a premium to change my flight. Air Asia allows 24 hours to change or cancel a ticket for free and will be using their service in the future. Jetstar gave me a small voucher but I am not flying to any of their locations in the next six months so it is useless. will not use service in the future."

I tried more than 20 times, from two devices, two browsers from my laptop, with two different credit cards, wasting huge amounts of time. Then they had the nerve to still charge the offline service charge for paying at the airport despite my clear description of all the time and effort I had spent on their miserable website. And they only accepted cash which required an extra ATM trip."

We bought all the tickets together and saw no place when booking regarding meal service. It wasn't devastating, just odd. Weird check-in process in Vietnam. Wasn't very organized."

Khuyết điểm: "The carry on weigh of 70kg is total for both carry-ons. If you exceed that they will insist you check a bag and th fee was 50% of the total ticket. I've carried this same luggage all over the world and carried it on every time. It's not unusually heavy and fits easily in the overhead. This experience put Jetstar in the 'avoid' category for me."

Our connecting flight was late so we went to the ticket counter to try to rebook and found it abandoned. At 45 minutes before departure they leave. They charged us full fare to rebook including the baggage fees. I realize that I agreed that my ticket was not refundable. However there is no reason that the bag fees are not credited for the next flight. And if they are not at the service desk they should allow you to rebook for the normal rebooking fee and not charge full price to reschedule"

On our return trip, at which time we merely had a layover in VietNam on our way to Singapore, they required us to buy another entrance visa. Because we only had less than 3 hours before our next flight left, they "provided" the service for us - to the tune of $180 for each person!!! Meanwhile, a likewise-stranded passenger from Australia apparently did not have to purchase another single-entry visa. We felt totally ripped off."

Ưu: "It offers cheap flights but they make it up by charging for everything; baggage, food and drinks. Online check in is also restricted if you are a US citizen. There is no inflight entertainment other than watchibg the crew sell stuff."
