The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

Khuyết điểm: "I wasn't allowed to reserve a seat - apparently they don't allow Kayak customers to reserve seats now. I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."

One other detail: this is not Japan Airlines fault, but at LAX we had to sit on the runway for an hour because there was some confusion about the parking space for the plane. After a nine hour flight, to sit and wait for another hour was very uncool."

Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

The plane was completely full, and my husband and I had to sit in separate rows - I was never able to switch the seats, even though I called several times and tried at the airport as well. Entertainment selection not as good as the American flight out. The JAL website (English version at least) is not very easy to use."

The warmth made it hard to sleep, which is a big problem on an overnight flight. JAL does not provide individual air vents to passengers seated where I was. I understand the reason for this, but I wish there was some way to get more comfortable. The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable."

Ưu: "I've been always flying with U.S. airlines this past several years just because transits are easier. I forgot about how friendly and nicer JAL crews are. Their food is much much better. They served us with a cup of Haagen-Dazs icecream for dessert while a Fatboy is normally served by other airlines. I was impressed by how spacious the foot area of their economy seat is. Because I felt quite comfortable, I slept five hours straight during the flight which is phenomenal to me. I will definitely fly with JAL again!"

We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

I came back 1 hour later and asked if I'm still in the right place sand when my flight would be boarding. They again said come back in 1 hour. This went on for 7 hours and they never made Amy announcements to inform anyone of when the flights would finally board."

People who are cold can put on blankets or jackets, but people who are hot can't remove clothing, so i think a lower standard temperature setting would be nice."

Ưu: "A380 is great plane (this coming from a real Boeing enthusiast). Very Quiet! Coach had more leg room than I expected, especially for a non-US carrier. Good service and great inflight entertainment. The airline is not a US domestic carrier so flight staff might not understand every English word of a request but they try very hard. Most US carriers would not try as hard if I were speaking Korean! The whole world does not speak your language and remember that coach is coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are out of the control of carriers so comments about that."

My firtst time was at an airport in Alaska which I completely forgot since it was nearly 30 years ago. The flying experience was totally good from flying from BKK as it was also a good airport. I also liked the services, the crews were courteous and helpful."
Khuyết điểm: "Flights were full and of course I had a seat in seat 32E next to a man who was ofviously either sick or had a bad allergy, he sneezed and sneezed 1/2 of the whole flight when he was awake and slept most of the time so it was difficult for me to get in and out to the rest room. Luckily the people in seats 32F & 32G were kind enough to let me in and out (I got out mostly while the lady in seat 32F was getting out of her seat.) Mostly the other experiences were good overall."

Ưu: "It may be my imagination, but I feel like the seats on this Korean Air Flight lean back more and have more leg room that flights I've been on in the past. Also the crew was so kind, even when dealing with tired, grumpy passengers."

We had a very short connection but were met as we got off our first flight in Seoul and given great instructions about how to quickly get to our connection through security while our flight to SFO was being held for 15 minutes. The food was very good, choice of movies and TV excellent. Our bags made it to SFO despite the short connection. All in all I couldn't ask for a better way to make a 20 hr trip to the other side of the world."

Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Ưu: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."

I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."

That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

Khuyết điểm: "Food quality should be improved. Most of the staff were very courteous, except on two minor request. I guess the stewardess was a little stress due a very demanding passenger, but should not be reflected to other customers."

Ưu: "Qatar airways always seems to handle busy flights and crammed seats calmly, efficiently and on time. It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!"

Ưu: "I liked the food and the entertainment ."
Khuyết điểm: "My seat was broken so I sat up right for 16 hours. To top it off I needed to use the toilet REALLY bad but was denied even though we were SITTING on the runway for 20 mins. When I FINALLY get to use the toilet, after a smaller Asian girl and a taller Indian girl were getting bags of blankets out of, I leave a WOODEN CLIPBOARD full of VERY important papers that will cost me inside. Yet when I call to retrieve them they are "nowhere to be found" so you're telling me out of those 2 women, the Indian gentleman, the black woman & the other Asian woman back there didn't notice a clipboard when I was the only person back there trying to use the toilet or they simply threw a wooden and metal clipboard away ?? With what was clearly paperwork clipped onto it ? The girl at the service desk of Qatar airways claims to have looked herself. But she was rushing me off of the phone so I don't feel like she remotely cared even a little. I am PAST unhappy. So thank you for throwing my paperwork away I know for sure was left behind. Very thorough team."

Ưu: "bathrooms had liquid on the floor sloshing around from about 1 hr after take off. Flight attendants need a disposable towel to put down. Nasty bathroom are not pleasant."
Khuyết điểm: "i was blessed with 3 seats in a row. Had trouble lying down because the arm rests don't go up all the way. The seat belt connectors were not recessed, so they poked me in the side. The movie selection was only so - so. See the selection from Singapore airlines if you want to see a good example. I have many food allergies - for the sweet & savory snacks, the ingredients are in Latin - like a place holder ready for when they get the real words to put there. e.g. dolorem ipsum ..."

Ưu: "***You're asking me about a flight that hasn't happened yet. I'm rating my flight FROM LOS ANGELES TO DOHA, 10/23/2016, here: Flight attendants were very good, helpful, gracious. For a long flight the restrooms stayed clean."
Khuyết điểm: "The food was over cooked, and lacked freshness. I had to have the same meal twice because they ran out of the omelettes. Next time I will try Emirates."
