Ưu: "My husband, my baby(14 months) and I took the flight from Hanoi to New York which was transferred in Korea. The flight from Hanoi to Korea got delayed so we have to fly with Asian Anna instead. The checking took so long and confusing. We barely made the flight from Hanoi to Korea and ran from different terminals to catch the flight from Korea to New York. We paid extra to select seat to sit to gether but then we found out it was just a joke to get money from Justfly since Korean Air said they only arranged seat at check in which we couldn’t check in as early as we wished due to the delay. And from Korea to New York, they lost our 4 luggages. How horrible could that be ? We are thinking about suing justly."

Good service and great inflight entertainment. The airline is not a US domestic carrier so flight staff might not understand every English word of a request but they try very hard. Most US carriers would not try as hard if I were speaking Korean! The whole world does not speak your language and remember that coach is coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are out of the control of carriers so comments about that."

I love this airport, it is clean, modern and offers so much amenities for FREE. The best for my second time LONG Lay over. My firtst time was at an airport in Alaska which I completely forgot since it was nearly 30 years ago. The flying experience was totally good from flying from BKK as it was also a good airport. I also liked the services, the crews were courteous and helpful."

Luckily the people in seats 32F & 32G were kind enough to let me in and out (I got out mostly while the lady in seat 32F was getting out of her seat.) Mostly the other experiences were good overall."

Having just transferred from Korean Airlines and taken other asian airlines on my trip, it's a hard comparison to a domestic airline, although Hawaiian is among one of the better domestics. On my food tray, there was a bowl of miso soup, that the attendant was trying to hand me, while there was turbulence. The bowl of miso was smiling all over the tray, and on my napkin, and since I was on the inside seat, almost spilled all over me. On a previous Korean airline fight, also with turbulence, the attendant had taken the bowl off the tray, and covered it with a saran, and then handed it to me to make sure it wouldn't spill all over me. There's a bit of difference there."

Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."

It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

Ưu: "The flight attendants are quick in services and with great manner. Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

Entertainment selection not as good as the American flight out. The JAL website (English version at least) is not very easy to use."

Khuyết điểm: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Ưu: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

To exercise, I left the gate and walked around the terminal. Coming back to the gate, I could not enter because the ground stewardess blocked the entrance to the gate. I had to wait for 30 minutes until I finally was able to sneak thru the rope barrier that was placed there after the stewardess left. Then when I was confronted again, I explained my situation and this time she let me through to join my son, who was at the gate all this time."

I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

Flight was delayed 45 minutes because a flight attendant was running late and then to top it off, at the end of. The flight the attendants blocked anyone fromaim cabin from leaving until all of first class had departed, even when no one was coming they still Blocked it off. This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

I think that for these cases they should leave more time for the stopovers that come from international flights. For my part I did not choose this option, since I was traveling with a person with mobility problems and separated the group for admission to the process of entering the USA."

Virgin Australia contatcted out their flight from SJC to LAX through Delta and Delta cancelled flights becaue no-show of Pilot to operate the plan. What a Joke???? We asked them to put us through another carrier to LAX for connecting flight they refused.Very very BAD. It was a big miss for us.. never again Delta/Virgin Australia.............."

We saw people with two big bags get on board at the start, and then staff made everyone at the back of the line check their bags. But there was plenty of bin space before take off. And we were seated in the last row which can't recline."

We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."
Ưu: "The service. The plane (seemed like an international plane). Food options. The service and the service. There was a problem getting on, they allowed premium members to board but when I got to the plane, I was scolded by the cleaning crew lady (maybe the Mgr) that they were not ready and that she had informed 'them' of that and that no one is allowed to board while they are cleaning."
Khuyết điểm: "Short flight didn't provide food or beverage service. Cabin crew announcements were rapid & muffled, difficult or impossible to hear or understand. Would not have felt confident if there'd been an emergency."
Ưu: "I had a great seat (exit row) with lots of legroom. They provided a free breakfast, and it was actually pretty good. A few hours later i was hungry and tried to buy some food but the cabin crew just gave my another breakfast item. The flight arrived on time, and the luggage was delivered a few minutes after I arrived at the baggage area."

Khuyết điểm: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

Khuyết điểm: "Sat in Delta Comfort and a loyal Delta flier, except had the bad fortune of taking off at 830 ATL time and apparently Delta doesn't find it important or a good idea to sell food after that time. The logic behind this is beyond me. I'm willing to pay $9 for a few cheese slice and crackers or a sandwich yet they don't offer anything, not even to first class which would really irritate me had I paid 1000 bucks. Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"

Ưu: "Didn't nickel and dime us about snacks or entertainment. Warned us about turbulence, but it wasn't too bad, thanks to the pilot for doing his best to keep us on an even keel. Did not feel,squished in the "comfort" or Premium Economy seats. In the lowered expectations world of modern air travel, this was relatively OK, which means I recommend it and would fly with them again."
Khuyết điểm: "I had a reserved Comfort Class Aisle seat, purchased at time of reservation and showing as my assigned seat through printing of boarding pass. At the gate, my seat was reassigned to a middle seat. This is a huge problem for me, as my back and leg injuries require the ability to stretch and move frequently. When complaining on Delta phone lines, I was told that the seat was needed for a Diamond member and therefore was "policy" to bump. Although I eventually received some compensation for the fact I paid more for the original seat, I remain very disappointed in Delta, if this is indeed the policy."
Khuyết điểm: "The attendants on this flight were gossiping right behind us and we heard them talk about ignoring calls from people during our wait on the tarmac at LAX. Again we were in the last seats in the plane and this time it was stinky."
