The seat, crew and food for this flight were excellent. I particularly like the arrangement in business class for the window seat, which offers both very good privacy and aisle access. The only improvement needed is the entertainment; the entertainment choices were limited and the hand-held control was difficult to navigate. But overall a very good product
Breakfast food has no choice and served seafood rice is really despairing.
Only thing i have to said is rough landing and food is not great so does the entertainment.

Japan Airlines should have done better incorporated with other codeshare airlines (JetBlue) to make sure our reservation doesn’t get mess up and that’s one of the reason why we stayed in Newyork for the whole day to wait for the next flight. Could have been much better experience but it wasn’t and worse. My flight got delayed in Newyork causing us to miss out our flight on the outbound from Narita to Vietnam. On the way back, the agent from JP airlines messed up our reservation and separate our name into 2 different reservations making us running around to figure out how to get the boarding pass for my partner which is ridiculous.
I would fly this airline again, I would consider one step upgrade from economy for a flight over 5hrs but at 6ft I was still comfortable in economy

I called Kayak to resolve this since I had confirmation of the booking and was placed on hold. After 2 HOURS I hung up. At roughly 4:00 am I spoke with someone at Kayak who confirmed the flight was cancelled and that I was not contacted. An offer was made to put me on another flight a day later but that was impossible because of needing another Covid test. I was able to arrange another flight that was more expensive."

This caused a lot of stress on me however, the Japan airlones Crew escorted me (we ran as fast as we could) to my next flight so that I wouldn’t miss it. The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."

Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

First, the flat bed is not transformed by a button and it needs a physical person to flip it over. The mat is thin and I can feel some hard edges while lying down. The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

Late departure but almost all of the time made up in flight.
The bathroom is not that good.. dirty.. the sink is not properly draining.. (all bathrooms - all flights- back&forth) . There was no toilet paper seat either going to DC. Crew is not picking up trays/trash right away. Once, we even brought our tray in the back. Food should be mix of western& middle east. middle east food is a bit too much for some passengers- too smelly, spicy,— The crew are nice though. Very helpful and friendly.
I’m not sure why I was only allowed one suitcase per passenger on the way to Karachi Pakistan. On the way back they allowed me to have two suitcase per passenger. This cause me a lot of issues because I was planning to take some valuables for my parents and I was not able to because I was only allowed one suitcase per person. They should allow tooth suitcase on each way. Also I have to purchase suitcase in a different country than my original destination

Cramming more seats into a finite space seems to be what all airlines are doing these days. This of us whom are above average in height are forced to insure a more painful and uncomfortable flight as a result."

They also continually bumped into everyone walking down the aisle as well as hit people with the food carts. They definitely need a lot more training. Not happy at all."
Khuyết điểm: "Despite me telling the crew a number of times that he temperature was FAR too low, no change was made. Now I am not a first time flyer and I know flights can get cold. I had a sweatshirt, socks, shoes, two blankets wrapped and it was still cold to the point that I put the blanket over my head. When I looked around the flight almost every single person was completely wrapped in blankets and had hoods, sarees, and scarves wrapped around their heads. I had my 1 year old infant who already had a head cold that I feel was worsened by the cold dry air. I spent my first few days in Kolkata pretty sick. I know the cold air doesn’t cause the illness but it certainly worsened any stuffy nose I had into a full blown cold and chest congestion. I was VERY upset by the discomfort on this flight especially after having a wonderful flight with Emirates from New York to Dubai. I really felt like the crew did not care despite clear discomfort the passengers were feeling. It was incredible how visible the discomfort was yet nothing was done to fix the temperature. The freezing cold air kept blowing right on everyone theoughout the flight."

Khuyết điểm: "This is my fourth time booking Emirates for my route through kayak. The route is longer but I choose it for on-board Internet for work emails. Generally, they have on-board WiFi Internet, however for my return route of 21 hours both flights had no wifi which was disappointing. This is unprofessional because if you are planning on having WiFi to respond to work emails and it is not available once you are already in the air there is nothing you could do but get stuck. Never does this happen with Lufthansa, Turkish, Etihad. Disappointing."

Khuyết điểm: "There was no leg room at all in economy. My knees were in the seat of the person in front of me. Most of the food was terrible and I only ate the bread. The TV is on the back of the seat in front of you and is a touch screen. You have to touch pretty hard. So, every time the person behind me was scrolling, they had to hit my seat. I couldn't sleep the entire 16 hours more than 30 minutes. I asked for water to take some medicine and was told it was 30 minutes til food service and to wait. It was over 2 hours before they started food service."
Ưu: "On our onward flight from Orlando to Dubai, the crew made sure the flight was always clean (specially the toilets - they really cleaned them up every 30 mins) Not so much on the same flight returning from Dubai to Orlando - toilets get wet and messy after about 5 hours and were never cleaned after."
