Crew requires more training in upkeep of airplane on long-haul flights."

This is the most uncomfortable, cramped, and smallest seat I have ever flown in...first time flying Emirates...I certainly would never fly again and actual am haunted by the idea of the return flight in 10 days. Not worth it! I'd rather deal with possibly getting dragged off a United flight!"

Ưu: "We were told by terminal staff in Istanbul that the fkught was on Turkish Airlines.We waited in line at the first ticket counter and then we were sent to a second ticket counter where we waited in line again. We were sent to a 3rd counter where the Supervisor was chatting with a lady for 20 minutes. When we reached the counter we were told it was too late to board and we had missed our flight even though there were still 35 minutes to flight time. Turkish Airlines staff would not help us any further and we had to go purchase another ticket."

After heavy protests, they let the waiting passengers back into the terminal. Supposedly the pilot was sick, but there was no communication at all from the airline about the cause of the delay or how long it would last."

During our connecting flight in Athens our boarding passes wouldn't print at the self service computers and there was no one to help us so we had to go back out to the front desk. The airline representative was extremely rude. There was 5 employees standing around the computer with NO customers and when we asked if this was Turkish Airlines and if they could help, the woman (manager) responded "this WAS Turkish Airlines" as if they were done helping customers for the day (it was 9AM and our flight was leaving in 45 min). We explained that we couldn't print our passes and she ROLLED her eyes as if it was an inconvenience to help us. THEN on our flight from Istanbul to Chicago, a passenger died an hour into the flight and they placed the body on the seats behind us for over 10 hours! Nobody even told us what happened! We didn't know if they died from natural causes or if it was something else! They didn't offer to seat us somewhere else or even inform us they were placing the body there. We were completely shocked and uncomfortable the whole flight home. We couldn't eat or sleep. We're completely disgusted and scarred from this overall experience."

They legitimately had no idea if my bag ever left the United States. It took 3 days to locate my baggage while I was trying to celebrate my anniversary with my wife in Athens. being without your luggage for half a week in a foreign country is not even remotely fun. I had to wait around missing tours and reservations trying to find our luggage most of our first 48 hours in Greece. After giving up on getting our stuff we had to waste a chunk of time shopping to replace our clothing and toiletries. Despite having purchased the travel insurance I'm still fighting a month after our trip ended to be reimbursed for the clothes we had to buy just to begin our vacation. Again they continue to stonewall by transferring our complaint calls endlessly and forwarding our emails with "new" case numbers each time. Basically what this accomplishes is they can't ever find the case number they updated it to and insist that the prior case number is listed as resolved. Since they say it's resolved there is nothing anyone can do to help. Not sure if I'll ever get any satisfaction out of this debacle."

When time came other crew member served us completely ignorant of our request. We were served flash of some animal. We did not want to make a scene but people around were were also bothered. We came out hungry at the other end"

Khuyết điểm: "Departure was late by an hour which made me miss my connection. Because of this: I had to purchase a visa @$70 US Airport service in Istanbul was very bad. It took 2 hours before anyone would actually help me to organize my next flight to Milan. By the time I arrived in Milan, my family had left worried sick not knowing what happened to me. I then had to find a bus to take me to Lugano, another 25 Euros, and not to mention all the stress to me and my family. I then decided not to put myself through the same situation on my way back to Tel Aviv and purchased new ticket with another Airline company. Overall, the whole experience was a nightmare."

I sit down, 10 minutes later the guy comes up to me and asks me if I really need to go. I said of course. He opened the bathroom for me and as soon as I sit to pee a girl is knocking bloody murder telling me they're going to land the plane and I'm taking to long. I had been in there all of 30 seconds. I finished quickly and returned to my seat. We didn't land for another 30 minutes. Worst service EVER!"

Khuyết điểm: "Not happy with Etihad Checkin counter desk at Ho Chi Minh Airport. The person at the baggage drop off desk wasn't helphul at all. Being ignored for 30 minutes. I believe that this person needs to be trained in order to know who needs to be helped first as he worked at that particular counter for people who already Checkin online."

Khuyết điểm: "Overall bad experience with Etihad Airways flying from Dulles to Abu Dhabi. I won't be flying with them again. 1. ETA: I had to apply for an electronic travel authority (ETA) (essentially an electronic tourist visa) twice despite the fact that I had been granted the visa originally by the Government of Australia two weeks prior to my flight. For some reason, airline staff said they could not see the visa information attached to my passport. I showed them the emails from the Government of Australia stating that my application had been successful along with the relevant reference number. The staff told me to apply for another one and let them know once I had. They informed me that this "happened all the time" with their customers traveling to Australia. If it is happening "all the time," Etihad Airways should check their database to ensure there are no glitches. It's Australia, not a third-world country, so it's likely on the Airline's end. The crew did not offer to look up my reference number or otherwise do any leg work to verify the visa that I already had, even when the application page stated that I already had a visa for the relevant time period! This stressed me out just a few hours before I was supposed to take off and could have been handled with a little effort by the staff. 2. Baggage Weight: They are sticklers for baggage weight, weighing your carry-on both prior to check in (it must be under 7 kg) and again right before boarding the plane. Literally no other airline has done this in my entire experience except the cheapo ones. Thankfully, I had a big purse and was able to shift the baggage weight around to get on because they pulled me out of line to board the plane. It's all going on the same plane so it makes no sense at all. This needlessly drags out the boarding process. 3. Crew: They sat a man who was coughing incessantly on my row (I had two empty seats next to me). The crew member accompanied him to my aisle while he told me where he would sit. The crew did not ask me to make space or anything (of course I would have said yes), but this particular gentleman had a cough and made me sick for my trip. I was not happy, and that situation could have been handled so much better. Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and fly with Emirates. They're far better and professional and are similarly priced. Had none of these issues with them. (Added bonus: the food's a lot better as well)."

All of the crew members were very friendly and attentive. The food was really good and tasty (lamb curry I think it was) - best plane food that I’ve ever had. Good choice of new movies too."

Other first class flights allow you to eat when you want. not this one. i slept through their mealtime - no food for me. the seats also do not recline fully. Since the treatment is not first class, might as well fly economy on this one."

My wife and my hand held consoles were not working and hence we couldn't use our reading light besides some other functional limitations. An elderly lady sitting in front of me had a bad bout of chills because of the cabin temperature (most probably) the staff never followed up on the help that fellow passengers had given to the lady. My prior two flights with this airliner were much worse My A380 experience in the Emirates has been MUCH more spacious and great meals with a predictably jollier staff. Qatar airways can perhaps even top that. The only thing I feel etihad has over these better rivals is the convenience of the US Immigration. As a NATIONAL CARRIER of the UAE, I'm quite unimpressed and disappointed."
