Ưu: "The "Forward seats" are advertised on airline documents for $20 on regional flight. MNL-SGN is definitely a regional flight, but they charged me $50 for the one seat choice. The comfort is definitely much better. I had guessed it was worth the 20 dollars, but 50 seems a rip-off."
Ưu: "We were in business class, and everything was just awesome, considering there were only 4 passengers in the cabin. So it was quiet and private."

Ưu: "Knowing that we might have a tight connection (prior to the plan being delayed another hour and missing our flight) the check in desk moved our seats to the front to give us optimal time to make our tight connection."
Khuyết điểm: "Our first flight was delayed by 2.5 hours which caused us to miss our connection. Once arriving in Manila we were given the next flight to make it to our destination. While I appreciated this, the first location was not able to do anything for us and left us with some uncertainty."

Ưu: "Not much. Both flights to and from Manila were delayed. The flight out was delayed pre-boarding by about 15-min and then about 30-min in the plane on the tarmac. Leaving Manila was delayed boarding by about 1-hr and we landed about 30-min late. Philippine Airlines operation has gotten so much worse."

From the chaos at Check-in on the Manila side from the understaffed and overwhelmed employees, to the gate control and communication with passengers at a reasonable time for the delays. Staff at MNL Terminal 2 for PA seem not to care and there seems to be no management that exists."

Though the flight was somewhat full, I got good seating, BUT my friend who was also traveling with her husband got a seat one over from the middle exit. Her husband is over 6' tall. The attendant would NOT allow him to move by the window where there was LOTS of leg room because that seat cost more. No one sat there the entire flight. Ridiculous to not allow a small change."

Ưu: "Flight from SFO to Manila was fine. On time without delay. Once we landed in Manila, our connecting flight was delayed. We were stuck at Manila international airport and not allowed to leave after coming through immigration! 8 hours in a terrible airport with no proper restaurant or bar! Only snack and coffee shops. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so that we could have at least gone into town."

Khuyết điểm: "The terminal for Philippine Air in Manila is probably one of the worst transit terminals I have been to...it is over crowded and in need of an expansion. There are also no places to eat a quality meal if you have descent layover. The food at all the kisoks were not well cooked and the sanitation is easily a D. Also, there is an expected delay of 30 min to an hour with every flight. So don't have any connecting flights with tight transit times."

Repeatedly called Philippine Airlines customer service to ask about them providing overnight hotel accommodation given the new flight time, but was either told to call back later, that they had entered the wrong date for the request for hotel accommodation - in the end received no reply at all!! Worst airline customer service experience ever!"
Ưu: "Crew was friendly and professional, though I wish they were given more information on boarding time due to the late arrival of the plane. The flight was half empty, so there was plenty of room to stretch out."

I chose the beef option — a small lump of "beef" that was overcooked and under sauced, accompanied by a sad pied of steamed broccoli and a disproportionately large portion of white rice. The quinoa salad was passable, but the "peach cobbler" dessert course was a flavorless mass of gelatinous goo."
Ưu: "The aircraft was new and clean. This is the only direct flight to Manila. The seats have very good leg room and good recline angle."
