We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

The food on the American flight was so bad that I threw most of it away….greatly contrasting with the good food on the JAL flight. My screen would not function correctly with any of the movies or other entertainment offerings. In the future I would choose a foreign carrier over any American carrier."

The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

The plane was completely full, and my husband and I had to sit in separate rows - I was never able to switch the seats, even though I called several times and tried at the airport as well. Entertainment selection not as good as the American flight out. The JAL website (English version at least) is not very easy to use."

I like the variety of food choices and some of the dishes were delicious (salmon and rice). The seats are pretty comfortable. They aren't great for sleeping in, but the flight was decently quiet and dark for some time. I would recommend bringing a pair of earplugs and a neck pillow."

This went on for 7 hours and they never made Amy announcements to inform anyone of when the flights would finally board."

People who are cold can put on blankets or jackets, but people who are hot can't remove clothing, so i think a lower standard temperature setting would be nice."

Good service and great inflight entertainment. The airline is not a US domestic carrier so flight staff might not understand every English word of a request but they try very hard. Most US carriers would not try as hard if I were speaking Korean! The whole world does not speak your language and remember that coach is coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are out of the control of carriers so comments about that."

I love this airport, it is clean, modern and offers so much amenities for FREE. The best for my second time LONG Lay over. My firtst time was at an airport in Alaska which I completely forgot since it was nearly 30 years ago. The flying experience was totally good from flying from BKK as it was also a good airport. I also liked the services, the crews were courteous and helpful."
Khuyết điểm: "Flights were full and of course I had a seat in seat 32E next to a man who was ofviously either sick or had a bad allergy, he sneezed and sneezed 1/2 of the whole flight when he was awake and slept most of the time so it was difficult for me to get in and out to the rest room. Luckily the people in seats 32F & 32G were kind enough to let me in and out (I got out mostly while the lady in seat 32F was getting out of her seat.) Mostly the other experiences were good overall."

We had a very short connection but were met as we got off our first flight in Seoul and given great instructions about how to quickly get to our connection through security while our flight to SFO was being held for 15 minutes. The food was very good, choice of movies and TV excellent. Our bags made it to SFO despite the short connection. All in all I couldn't ask for a better way to make a 20 hr trip to the other side of the world."

The baggage was also quick and I was probably one of the first to get out. It took me about 30 minutes from the gate to the terminal exit."

For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

This passenger continually kept encroaching into my seat, either sitting on a portion of my leg or putting his shoulder over my shoulder, even at one point used me as lean on. It was a 9 hour flight of misery... I was definitely uncomfortable for majority of that flight due to the passenger in 40A on flight NH176"
Ưu: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."

As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."
Ưu: "I will only use Singapore Air for anywhere they fly. They really care about their passangers, 2 checked bags 1 carryon no charge, no airline does that. They constantly feed u & alcoholic beverages all at no extra charge. Flight attendants always have a smile on their flight. In flight entertainment was great, touch screen and remote controller. They supply earbuds, socks, toothbrush and paste."

Ưu: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

Khuyết điểm: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

Khuyết điểm: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."
Ưu: "I would definitely fly with Singapore again. Their staff is super attentive, they have lots of options for in-flight entertainment and things generally went smoothly. I didn't sign up for a special allergy meal ahead of time but they were able to accommodate me anyways."

On the flights to and from, even though he was on he aisle side seat, it was very difficult for him to have enough room for his legs, thus making my space that much less. In the future, I think we would benefit from booking either the seat behind us for him that had more leg room, or the seats in front of us that were the first seats of all rows."

Khuyết điểm: "My flight to Narita was fabulous, so I was surprised to find the return flight home filled with a condescending crew, terrible food, and a broken entertainment system. We had requested a Muslim meal on the previous flight, but the food was so spicy and smelly that we chose to go with the normal faire on the way back. I changed it on the website when I checked in online but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that the meal was still set as a muslim meal. The representative at the baggage counter called the plane and made sure that it was changed back to a normal meal. However, when it was dinner time we were presented with muslim meals. When we spoke to the head airhost to request a normal meal he said that they only carried a specific number and an leftover meals were for the crew only and that we had to eat the muslim meals or have sandwiches. We requested the sandwiches - the muslim meal was too spicy and had made us sick before. The "sandwiches" were pretty much two slabs of dry bread with some mayo slapped on. Disgusting and dry. I wish they could have made an exception for us or provided us with something edible. It was a long flight and we were starving by the time breakfast rolled around. The crew was condescending and cold. My entertainment system lacked functionality; some of the buttons on my remote were broken."
Ưu: "First time to travel with Singapore Airlines and we were impressed with the overall service for economy class. Food was good, entertainment package offered multiple options. Flight attendants very helpful."
Ưu: "The food and drinks were great on our flight there. Leg room was the same (cramped). However, on the flight back, the food was pretty bad and for some reason the service was also bad. After requesting a drink I got on the way to Tokyo, I was told that they would make it and come back. No one came back with the drink. The second time they came around with orange juice. I asked just for water since I was over the drink. They said they would get it and never came back. I had to use the call button and ask again for water."

Ưu: "The service on line was excellent.! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pilot was informative. I would definitely fly EVAAIR with my family again."
Khuyết điểm: "The staff speaks English very well, but they think they have to speak really loud for the customer to understand them. That is not the case everyone understands and just because someone speaks louder it doesn't make a difference if they did not understand. Please let your staff know they can speak in a normal tone, we understood every single person on our trip. Also too many interruptions overhead. People were trying to sleep."

Ưu: "The screen that everyone has in front of them is large and has a lot of entertainment options. Lots of leg room! I had an economy ticket and was pleasantly surprised by how much leg room you get. I appreciated the warm blanket, pillow, and slippers. There are eye masks and toothbrushes available in the restrooms."
Khuyết điểm: "The food was OK, it wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't anything amazing. The staff was attentive and professional, but I don't know if it was just me, they seemed a bit "cold". No warm smiles. It's a small issue because they did a great job, no complaints with that."

Khuyết điểm: "My son & I traveled together on a trip from Manila to USA in Taipei. We had a 3 hour transit time, and waited by the gate of the flight from Taipei to USA. To exercise, I left the gate and walked around the terminal. Coming back to the gate, I could not enter because the ground stewardess blocked the entrance to the gate. I had to wait for 30 minutes until I finally was able to sneak thru the rope barrier that was placed there after the stewardess left. Then when I was confronted again, I explained my situation and this time she let me through to join my son, who was at the gate all this time."

Ưu: "Wonderful crew, excellent entertainment system, seats reasonably comfortable for economy class, food OK, a toilet I could actually stand up in. I had a tight connection in LAX, so they arranged for an "Express Connection" pass that was helpful. A EVA rep was waiting at the gate with a placard with my name on it to give me this pass. Nice touch."

Ưu: "I flew economy and it has everything you need for a flight to Asia. Other carries I used during my trip had small rows but these had enough space for American size. Food was good, service was good, can't ask for much more given what you pay."
Khuyết điểm: "I flew LAX->Taipei->Singapore round trip. On the leg both ways from Singapore to Taiwan the screen had a USB port which was awesome but for the long pacific flight there was none. You should definetly upgrade those because charging devices is a HUGe plus"
Ưu: "Our first time with EVA AIR and we would gladly use them again. Very friendly staff - way above average. Entertainment option was very good which is useful in long flights. Excellent on-time performance. Transit process in Asia airports is very well managed - very efficiency and passenger friendly."
Khuyết điểm: "Opportunity is that seats are worn-out making it not very comfortable. Leg room in economy fair for shorter people (less than 6 feet) but for taller people it becomes uncomfortable in the longer flights."
Khuyết điểm: "The food was terrible. I've flown on a lot of US-Asia carriers, and the options and quality of the meals on Eva are pretty sad. There are only ever two options for main courses; an Asian and Western one. One meal I had the fish was very tough, practically fossilized. The overall taste and look for all the meals were of substandard budget frozen meals you'd get at a 7-11. The side dishes are perfunctory, mostly inedible (usually some "charcuterie" of cheap, over-salted meat/fish on an afterthought of a salad, plus some weird gelatin mold with corn or whatever random cheap ingredient). The special order meals I had for my young children were pretty acceptable."

Ưu: "I guess it was a different model plane - I remarked how spacious the seats were on the flight from Kos Angeles, this plane had smaller seats in coach (cheap seats) so it was less comfortable."
Ưu: "The service, the flight, and overall experience was great! They really took care of us and was very accommodating. Seats were very comfortable with a good amount of legroom. Great overall experience."
Ưu: "The boarding process was pretty simple - the ground crew were really nice and got everyone boarded in an orderly way even though the boarding was delayed. I would suggest that the crew look at passengers who might have "excessive" carryon and ask them to gate check PRIOR to boarding - not while they're in line boarding - takes FOREVER dealing with that."
Khuyết điểm: "My son spilled his drink all over him - there was an attendant chatting it up with the passenger in front of us - I asked her for some napkins - she brings back 3 facial tissues and was SUPER annoyed at me for even daring to ask her. I was stuck in my middle seat as the lady in the aisle seat was handicapped and couldn't easily move. I ended up using the blanket from the flight to wipe him down and he had to sit through most of the flight with his pants hanging to dry. Also the service on the return flight was HORRIBLE compared to the flight going to Taipei. Everyone seemed flustered - it's a 10+ hour long flight and the flight wasn't even full. There was NO mid-flight service - snacks? water? Also Coke is NOT Pepsi. I saw coke in the cart - i asked for coke - watched the attendant pour from a Pepsi jar and she just shrugs."

Khuyết điểm: "flight attendant did not enforce seat assignments (a passenger would not sit in her assigned seat. She should have been kicked off the flight, but was allowed to stay even though another passenger was assigned that seat. That passenger had to sit in a more crowded/uncomfortable seat."

Khuyết điểm: "The air crew needs to be more polite. If they cannot understand English well they should politely ask to repeat instead of saying "what?" Many of the crew members spoke this way, not just one."
Ưu: "My family liked the food they served, but I was sensitive to MSG I tried to be careful with what i ate. Fruits taste funny, like the desserts and the entertainment were good."
Khuyết điểm: "We were TRANSFERRED several times and had to MOVE from one TERMINAL to another like 3 TIMES while waiting for the DEPARTURE time. The travel itself, terrible I was awake the whole trip, I felt like I was shaken the whole time. Or may be it was just me. I was not able to have a good sleep. I was anxious to land right away. Most of the crews are rude lack the sweetness and politeness while serving. JUST BEC we ARE only in ECONOMY? Then maybe then when I get a lot of savings and be able to be in a BUSINESS suite I will be able to see the difference whether they treat people differently or they are JUST plain RUDE. Some are nice enough to smile. But the servers, if you are not happy with what you do find another career. But thank God me and my family are safe and we thanked the crew greeter on our way out."
