So I had to call Thailand Hotline from Hong Kong and they told me to go to the airport at least 4h early to get cheaper price for luggage overweight. I arrived actually almost 5h early, just to realize that the counter only opens 2:45h before departure. When the staff finally arrived, they told me that it's too late for discount rate and there is nothing they can do about it. So I got fined for their lack of service. Failure throughout for such an expensive flight."

Instead (??), the airline had me boarding LAST (most airlines have had me board among the first), and then sitting at an aisle seat (most airlines have me at a window). They asked me to wait to deboard until all passengers were off - that is standard. But because I was sitting on the aisle I had to get up and wait standing while the two other passengers on the row got out, and then go back to be seated. Very awkward"

Cons: workers know little English compared to ANA from checking in to the flight attendants. I think this was the most disappointing because the language barrier was frustrating when needing help going the right direction and having questions about checking in. The food was OK. The fruit tasted rotten and the food didn't seem as fresh either. The customer service was also mediocre. When I was on ANA airlines all the staff were very helpful and they seemed statisfied with their jobs. When I travel to ASIA again I will try and avoid Vietnam airlines."

I always trust PAL pilots. During takeoff there was turbulence because of the cloudy weather and the pilot tried his best to manoeuvre away from the clouds.
The flight was very good, no problems. Movies and TV to watch. Food was ok. My only criticism is switching flights in Manilla was awful. . I have never seen anything done in such a ridiculous manner.. I came from Singapore with a destination of Hawaii. I am from the USA, so of course I had to go through customs. Can't blame the airline for this, but the Philipines ought to reconsider this process.
There is a 3 hour delay. I am not sure if this is regarding the weather condition or the passenger patient. Hopefully, I could get at least vouchers because of the inconveniences I’ve been through.

If the journey is as important as the destination, then it already failed the minute I was seated in a very intimate setting alongside strangers and seeing the economy class fully booked. The airline defended this by saying they have special economy seats but I complained that this is not equitable since the seats are limited and not everyone could afford an upgrade. Even if they could, the passengers would still be seated side by side and the total number of passengers aboard a tight and enclosed space or load factor is still very high. The airline’s policy was so inconsistent with the very rigid rules of the different government agencies upon disembarkation."

Khuyết điểm: "One day in advance, an e-mail announced that the flight would be delayed by 1 h 10 mn. Once at the airport, the delay was increased. by 35 minutes. Yet, at the airport and on the aircraft, the only explanation given was the overplayed refrain "Due to late arrival of the aircraft..." PLEASE, stop kidding us. Bad management is not the same as "late arrival". At 3 AM everybody was on board. No other arriving or departing aircraft in that CGK airport at that ungodly time. The pilot mumbled something about loading cargo. We sat an extra 50 minutes before taking off. This airplane has no screen of any kind in Economy. There were posters and a booklet describing the possibilities of entertainment. Again, who is kidding whom? Before going bankrupt, the old Philippines Air Lines used the acronym P.A.L. And everyone read: "Planes Always Late". The acronym is gone, but the delays are back, for sure. I am sorry that I did not go on a low cost flight."

The leg room is very limited, unless it is an empty flight. The red wine was perhaps the worst I have ever had. AND the wifi that was available for purchase was 40 USD for only 150 mb of data which is absolutely ridiculous."

This was my worst flying experience ever and I do 4 international trips a year. Save time and money, fly another airline even if it means a connecting flight, you will still get there quicker. Flight attendant were slow taking our empty food tray. 1/2 hour later or more before they finally take it. No addt'l crew to give drinks after the meal."
