In general it would be nice if passengers could pre-order from a set selection of foods online what they would like on their tray. This would hopefully lower the amount of food that sadly goes to waste. Also it would be nice to have gluten free snacks on board. Flying with celiac disease is not easy."

Ưu: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail."

Khuyết điểm: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

Called qatar airways and send them a xomplaint email. No one cared to answer. The worst flight ever. Will never go with qatar airways anymore"

After going through the whole security screening process to enter the departures area (I boarded in Singapore), the whole security process is performed again to get to the gate. Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. Ưu: "So, as mentioned, this was our first time flying Emirates and from our flights from Maryland to Dubai to Philippines has been pleasant, the only issue we've had was with the security process and an incident that my wife encountered in Dubai when we were in the process of boarding to go to Washington Dulles. We landed in Dubai and we were in transit to our connecting flight. We went to our assigned gate and had to check in with security prior to waiting in our gate or boarding the plane. We checked in our electronic devices and my wife was asked to be checked. There wasn't anything wrong up until that moment. My wife cooperated with all the requests of the security agent. They asked her to go inside a security room/enclosed area and the first thing that the security agent asked my wife was why she wasn't wearing her wedding band. It was obvious that she was married because she had a tan line of the marks of wearing a ring. It was her travel ring and she removed it because it was too tight and she explained that to the agent. The agent then made the comment "so you got fat on this trip?". My wife was confused on what she said and asked her "what did you say?". The agent then repeated ..."So you're fat... that's why the wedding ring doesn't fit?" My wife was furious but maintained her cool because she didn't want to give a reason for her to be held from getting on the flight. I didn't see the situation take place and I don't know if there was anything that triggered her comment. My wife felt humiliated. I don't know the agent's name but I wanted to address the incident. Our experience with Emirates has been very pleasant but having to feel helpless after someone with authority to make that comment was humiliating and ruined the rest of her time on the flight as well as mine."

Ưu: "Fantastic flight from start to finish lax to dubai. I was offered upgrade to business class from economy for $1000 USD which was well worth the cost as the 15 1/2 flight can be tough in economy. The a380 is smooth, much more quiet and is pressurized to lower altitude than most planes so you do get off feeling more refreshed. Service and food were good and the inflight entertainment is first class with hundreds of movies on demand."

It would have been alright had they offered some sort of compensation or made it up to me in one way or another, but that was not going to happen. They cancelled and the cost was on me (as per the T's & C's I was told) and that was pretty much that. Here's a hint, it seems like their Scandinavian flights are underperforming and in a cost saving effort, they're randomly cancelling flights. I subsequently found out they did it to someone else in the area causing them to miss two days of a pre-booked vacation. So, if they cancel, it's going to cost you a lot more in a city like Oslo to wait a day - not to mention the costs involved in missing work or vacation, so maybe shop around then. I still like Emirates, but I'm feeling a little burnt after this episode."

Over salty, bland, and above all, they ran out of food. On an aircraft the size of an A380, one would like to assume that there will be enough food for people who are stuck and afraid of asking for anything from the moody staff. I have been travelling with Emirates for years now and insisted on flying it this time around upon much disapproval from my peers and family. My experience proved them right. I am still in complete shock and dismay. On a 12+ hour journey if I have to witness the staff rolling their eyes and where the passengers have to think twice before asking to be served, I think that's not right. Shame on you Emirates."

Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C."

The agent seemed perturbed, but I've seen it on almost every Italian bound flight. No one wants to wait. It is actually a bit amusing to watch the struggle between boarding policies and a group of people who seem determined to ignore them. The buses were also pretty well packed. More so in Rome than IST. Not much organization in loading at either place. After all the passport control they left us to walk outside to wait for the bus. Maybe you can tell I'm not a fan of remote gates."

I will never conduct business with Turkish Airlines again and will ensure all my friends, family, and colleagues try their best to avoid them too."

Khuyết điểm: "In contrast to my former experiences at different airports in Zurich, Boston and Istanbul, the check-in staff at Tabriz airport were really rude and non-cooperative. I had hard time checking in and my belongings inside my back pack was rejected due to less than 1 kilo excess weight. The behavior was unacceptable. I might reconsider taking Turkish flights from smaller airports in future, or taking it at all."
