The Pilot was Good. Better Food will be nice.
the pre-boarding area in Manila to Vancouver is terrible. Not enough space. I was flying business and the seating that was reserved for this was not monitored therefore no seats available. Upon boarding for business the area was packed with passengers and no separate line for frequent flyers to board therefore we were stuck behind stanchions permitting us to board. We had to crawl or climb over the stanchions in order to board.... WHAT A MESS!! This criticism is not because I was flying as a frequent flyer as there is not this MESS when flying from Vancouver to Manila. Improvements must be made as this sets the impression for the rest of the journey.

They told us to transfer to a different location for lounge access then we were denied after we paid for it. They didn’t do anything to correct the mistake. Very unfortunate despite speaking to many managers."

I asked a male steward for something very easy to do, instead he wasted about 30 minutes talking to two female passengers (that had moved from their assigned seats). Lacked discipline."

Plane was late in arriving to Terminal 2; apparently had to offload in Terminal 1, then taxi to Terminal 2, then had to be inspected extensively before we could board. Due to late boarding and ~25 wheelchairs, boarding was disorganized."

Khuyết điểm: "Flight was delayed from Sunday to Tuesday with no explanation! Thankfully I was with people that had a condo in Manila to hang out for a few days. People told us it was a tropical storm but the airline never did...."

Khuyết điểm: "I checked in early and was given a middle seat. I have back problems and walk with a cane and asked at the check in desk if I could have a window or aisle. I was told no because the flight was completely booked. I arrived three hours early and checked in online so I could get a better seat and they still said no. No one was able to help me. The flight was delayed over an hour and there was no apology. I always fly Philippine Airlines because IV always been really pleased with the service. This past flight makes me question that decision going forward."

Khuyết điểm: "Flight was delayed. At least this time they sent me a notification via email. On the flight from SFO to Manila, the flight was cancelled and we had to be reaccommodated the next day and I wasn't even notified that that was going to happen."

Then, after we boarded d at around 1AM, we were advised that the runways were due to close at 1:30 AM and negotiations were underway to extend runway operations so we could take off. We waited on the plane only to later learn that the flight was cancelled and we had to deplane! After more waiting at the gate in the terminal we were to hotels. We went to bed at around 4:45 AM, only to get a wake up call at 7 AM whilst we were not leaving the hotel until 11:00 AM for a 1:30 PM departure! Horrible! We ended up leaving even later, at around 2:30 PM. Throughout, communication from the company was abysmal. Never again Philippine Airlines for me !"

Khuyết điểm: "Check in at Kuala was a chaos. The agents were at a lost not knowing how to handle the family in front of me. It took them more than 30 minutes to handle just one family. I think there must be something wrong with the booking system. It took me 45 minutes to complete my check in."
Khuyết điểm: "All four of my flight on Philippines Airlines were over 3 hours delayed. Nothing good about this airline. Horrible food. But the delays were beyond the pale. Do not fly this airline and if you have to, don't have a connecting flight the same day, you WILL NOT make it."

Ưu: "On our return flight from Narita to Manila there was this family with 3 little kids and seating directly in front of us , the little girl cried the entire flight of 4 hours every 10 seconds and the mom didn't do anything to calm her , even wearing a headset I can hear the girl crying. The crew should have done something to seat them at the end but they were seated in the middle. Was so annoyed ! Flight attendant were slow taking our empty food tray. 1/2 hour later or more before they finally take it. No addt'l crew to give drinks after the meal."
