Business class. Staff service was PHENOMENAL. Seats/beds were spacious and comfortable (I had the seat in the middle section which can become a queensize bed with the next seat. I have had more satisfying food in economy, however traveling with an infant, the spacious seat/bed allowed him to sleep for a few hours. The staff were very good to accomdating him too.

It was not close, she was a liar. They lost my bags. They kept calling me sir despite my corrections and obvious female anatomy. They had no remorse or apologies for their errors"

So, we escaped to the back for a while where we were "hushed" by a stewardess. The stewards didn't seem to like it when we were out of our seats, but 12 hours is too long to be stuck in a middle seat."

The Airline arranged for the last leg of my flight to Chicago from Seattle to be on a different Airline, and it wasn't so comfortable. Arrangements were made by the airline in Taipei for my flight out of Chicago for me also, but with a 4 hours layover and on a "Standby" condition. This I didn't understand because there was a much earlier flight leaving Chicago on this same airline and it wasn't full. Staff at the ticket counter did eventually correct it to the earlier flight for me."

We also need some news channels like Aljazeera, CNN & BBC so that we keep updated on issues happening throughout the world. This is very important especially to people like me who traveled long distances from South Africa to Los Angeles USA."

The flight attendants were also really conscientious but also discrete about making sure that things were comfortable to passengers, for example making sure that windows were closed most of the time and lights were down so that people could sleep in between meals, and moving someone that was sick to a more comfortable and private seat, both for the sake of the sick individual and for the comfort of the people that had initially been sitting around them. -The complementary movie options were great and really helped pass the time on the 24+hr flight from NYC to Western Australia. -1 free large checked bag, which was very nice. -I think the complementary food and snacks were really yummy and generous, for airline food. I very much enjoyed the meals and snacks. Also, the complementary wine was a nice treat and tasted surprisingly good. -The complementary pillows and blankets were nice, warm, and soft. -The flights were on time, much better than American airlines that I've flown on. -The bathrooms were cleaned regularly throughout the flight and were much cleaner and nicer smelling than other airlines that I've been on."
Khuyết điểm: "The only thing thing that could really be improved upon (which is not as much the airline's fault as the plane manufacturer's fault) is that the economy seats and cabin layout could be more comfortable for long flights. I understand how hard it must be to design a plane that fits that many people and that's comfortable for 24+hrs of flying, but a few improvements could relatively easily be made I think, which would improve the experience dramatically: -If the seats were softer (and perhaps more ergonomically designed with an average person's shape in mind) it would make a world of difference, I think. -Being able to put the arm up on the wall side of the window seat would make it much more comfortable. -Padding on the arms would also help. -Of course more leg space and wider seats would make a world of difference, but I know that is tough to do since space is limited."

The Moon Cake provided to help us celebrate, even though we were traveling, was an added example of why Cathay Pacific is the standard that everyone else is trying to emulate in Tourist class. The L.A.-based cabin crew provided outstanding service throughout the flight. The in-flight service manager made me believe she cared about the quality of the service in the back, which was outstanding. It was as good as a full, 13-hour flight could be. Even the in-seat entertainment was outstanding and reliable."

Khuyết điểm: "The main reason for my poor rating of this flight was because when we booked these flights, they were listed as having WiFi available on the flights. The two longer flights are 14+ hours each and happen during the workday for us. This is a total of 28 hours (times 3 people) that we were not able to have in-flight WiFi. Almost all of our work is done online and thus, we could do zero work whatsoever during this flight. We basically lost the equivalent of two whole workweeks because of this oversight about the WiFi, which is very, very upsetting and cost us a ton of money. One of us ended up having to book a separate flight home in order to not lose WiFi for the entire way back, which added another $900+ to our travel costs. Additionally, the crew was fairly unfriendly when we asked about this and seemed to not care at all about why we were upset. We understand that the in-flight crew cannot install Wi-Fi on the plane in the middle of the flight, but some understanding and apologetic behavior goes a long way with an upset customer. Additionally, they were rude whenever we called for service and asked them for anything, always seeming to be so bothered to leave their discussions in the back of the plane. Finally, I've flown many flights across the world and I have to be honest that this was the least comfortable and nice plane I've been on for such a long flight. You think upgraded planes with WiFi would be used for these extremely long flights. We're all very upset about our experience on this flight and would really like to be contacted about this flight and spoken with. We would like for something to be done for us to make up for this HUGE oversight and bad experience. We don't want to have to call the bank and try to get our charges reversed for the flights, but we definitely feel that we were sold something that was not what we experienced. Khuyết điểm: "The service was quite frankly bad. We felt as if we were in a forgotten zone between two curtains sandwiched between business and economy. There was no dedicated staff for premium economy and this may have been part of the problem. There were only six passengers in Premium economy yet at meal time our choice wasn't available. We were offered meals from economy as an option. Getting any service meant having to use the call button because the staff rarely popped in to see if we needed anything. I've never used the call button so often in one flight. Friendliness came across as a forced response to our queries and at times even that wasn't masked so well. Drinks were served in plastic cups instead of real glass (like Air NZ) and filled nearly to the top...practically a tumbler of wine. Not very classy. We were forced to use the economy toilets instead of the business ones (like Air NZ). Overall we felt that Premium Economy on Cathay was economy with a wider seat with the exception that the services was worse than our economy trips with Cathay. This was a huge disappointment especially when compared with the first leg of our trip with Air NZ which was outstanding. We are not keen to fly Cathay again but unfortunately we'll have to on the way home."
