We still had to wait over an hour to check our one piece of luggage and wait to be checked in and get the boarding pass. Even though the site says we have the option to print out the boarding pass or show the code on our phone, we still had to deal with all the hassle. The plane was smelly until we were about to take off. The first meal on our way back from Istanbul was awful. The omelette was greasy, overly cheesy and bland. Same goes for the spinach pastry in the same tray. On the flights to Cairo, there was not enough drinks served. I only had one beverage offered to me. I was bypassed when they were serving the coffee/ tea. Also, the timeliness with serving drink was bad... I waited about 4 hours before getting my first beverage on the flight home."

Second, Turkish Airlines (a wonderful company) must impose hygiene requirements for their passengers. I sat next to a man that had insane body odor and when I let the Flight Attendant know she kindly reseated me... It was great until I saw the poor woman who took my place ALSO asked to be reseated due to the man's smell! Unfortunately, I was reseated in the middle of the row, which apparently is by Boeing design, none of the middle seats recline. Who makes an aircraft that handles long (13 hour) hauls with seats that do not recline and are too narrow for the average adult? It was such a painful and uncomfortable 13 hour flight. To add insult to injury, the plane was delayed and I missed my connection and had to sit in Istanbul airport for almost 8 hours."

I also couldn't do an online check-in."

He was open, friendly and communicative keeping everyone informed of the process of laptop retrieval and was organized despite it all. I wish I got his name!"

Ưu: "Well, Due to craziness at Atatürk airport my 11am flight arrived to Istanbul at 3pm.. which was the time of my connecting flight to NY. I was lucky that the flight was being delayed too.. so I got to board my flight 3:40pm. However, due to high traffic at Atatürk airport my New York flight departed at 5pm. Overall there was just a 2 hour delay, however the experience of transferring was quite stressful, not to mention that my bags didn't make it to New York. I just wished that the connecting flight information was not offline in the Ankara Istanbul train so that I didn't panic as much. Overall I made it safe and sound to my destination by the magic of plane transportation.. so thank you to all the engineers, staff, pilot, cabin crew and oil companies that did so much to bring me home. They gave me no alternative options, and instead only listed out a ridiculous list of fees and said I they could get me on a flight a different day for a total cost that was greater than what I had paid for the entire round trip ticket. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused to connect me. I ended up buying a one way ticket home with another airline. I will not fly with Turkish Airlines again in the future, and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Just beware of this service if you see them listed as the cheapest option."

Ưu: "It's been few years that I took Turkish Airline flight, but the service and crew and the aircraft were top notch. It felt like Virgin Atlantics flight and better. I flew with my 3 yo and the stuff kept spoiling him with goodie bags. On the way there (it was overnight flight) I'll give it 5 out of 5 and on the way back - it was a bit cold on the flight, it might be just me, however. The food also seemed better on the way to Turkey; on the way back I found myself hungry more often and the food was not as good (day flight). Excellent, will definitely fly again, just for the service and the experience!!"

They made us walk even more to get us transferred to hotel for a night. Their crew repeatedly lied about how to get new boarding passes as they were busy and didn't want to do it for us. Sent us to another transfer desk. No veg. food option even after making a special request. They said sometimes those mistakes happen. You can't call the crew from your sit to get snacks. They make you get out of your middle sit and walk to the back of the plane to get a sandwich. The boarding process at the Istanbul airport is even more chaotic. They have their own security (after having done security at the o origin in Rome AND at the IST airport), which requires standing in an hour long line and getting profiled and judged by the airline staff."

(2) checked in, dropping off bags. Some of us who had checked in online was trying to drop off bags only. After waiting 1.5 hours, this line isn't moving at all, while the checking in line was moving. Tried telling the gentlemen in charge who worked there that the checked in line dropping off bagguage was not moving, he didn't really care, they made all kinds of excuses saying other people were waiting, so they were completely clueless as to what was going on. I have never experienced this ever and I fly massively each year. First and last time in Etihad. JFK to Abu Dhabi is a good 13 hour flight. NO SNACKS. SG/BA, or any other airline really has nice sandwishes, ramen, chocolate, cookies, chips. Etihad has NOTHING. Not that I snack but still with a 13 to 14 hour flight, airlines should have something to eat during long flights. Really. Etihad who brands and advertises brilliantly, was extremely disppointing to actually be on the flight."

Khuyết điểm: "I must admit that the food choices is not great. You are catering to international crowd not only emaratis. In general the planes are good, but the smaller older ones are not that comfortable. The older 777 configuration is very uncomfortable, comparing to the 787. When you need to slitly recline, there is no need for the whole chair to come forward in attempt to creat a bed for you. These are little things that need to be addressed when purchasing planes."

Khuyết điểm: "On the dreamliner flights they have tried to cram a ton of seats in so if your over 5'8 you'll be very cramped with your knees under the seats and a strange headrest jammed I to your shoulder. I fly about 20 or 30k miles a year in economy and this is easily the most uncomfortably designed seat I've been in. More over the staff was incredibly dismissive and rude to all I witnessed then keep a older woman waiting for 45 mins for water and then dismiss her when she asked a second time. The check in staff was no better."
Ưu: "My flight from hyd to auh was delayed and because if that missed connecting flight from auh to LAX. I am now rerouted auh to JFK to LAX. Right now I am in JFK and ny connecting. Flight is delayed by 1 hr 30 mins."

Ưu: "Something unusual happened on this leg. A passenger became quite ill, and the captain decided to fly back to Abu Dhabi 2.5 hours after our takeoff from there. That certainly says something about Etihad's customer service. I doubt United would have done the same. A crew member told me that the double back meant an extra fuel cost of $50,000. The moral is: make sure you've got your medications in order—or whatever your health requires—before you board an airplane."

Khuyết điểm: "The food was bad. Requested for Asian Vegetarian Meal on Etihad website but was served the vegetarian option. I also heard a passenger complaining that she requested for a vegetarian food but was given a meal with chicken."
Ưu: "the crew of the airline and the staff at Abu Dhabi airport were overwhelmingly friendly and thoughtful and helpful. I am an oversize person which can make flying difficult in many ways. first, they never made me feel like I was inconviencing them by asking for help and then 2nd, when one of my neighbors decided to make a big fuss about it, they asked me if I'd like to move to a better seat (which I was happy to take them up on). I had a long layover and was given meal tickets to get food at the food court in the airport. Everyone was very kind."
Khuyết điểm: "the boarding procedure was difficult at Abu Dhabi. We had to go up a staircase which felt insecure and didn't have a good railing to hold onto. I was not the only passenger who was having trouble."
Khuyết điểm: "On the flight to and from Abu Dhabi from DC, both planes had a mechanical problem with the toilet seats. The seats would not stay up, so they would come crashing down onto your spine as you were seated, which was painful. The only way to avoid this was to hold it back as you sat, which required you to twist around. This whole experience was uncomfortable and unsanitary. On the Abu Dhabi to DC flight, the toilet was self-flushing, as well. Except that it also malfunctioned and flushed every time before I stood up. This was an unnerving experience."

Before I could ask for another the steward moved away... Didnt bother to check if I am fine...., Also, they ran out of water around landing time :( Entertainment was not available until after 10 or 15 mins take off and cut 10 mins before landing... Felt like second class..."
