I love Japan Airlines specially the food and crew
The food should be better. The service is good. The seat is ok.
Ticket flight selling should more detail at each a few countries when transit to Vietnam Ho Chi City. Unfortunately, I could not take this flight which was July 22 because i have to transfer airport in Japan. So that, I had to pay another ticket one way to Vietnam and in difference day.
I was connecting from Atlanta to Chicago to get on this flight. Unlike other airports I've been to, I didn't need to go through security check point which was very convenient and very efficient. I'll use Chicago O'Hara to connect from now on.
My flight was cancel on American , rebook 4 time? Whe to the airport each time to find out flight is canceled again, ridiculous X just ask for a refund
JAL is a good flight to visit Far East, especially Thailand for a discounted fares:-)

I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."

The crew at check-in told me I could keep my purse with me, and the crew on the airline told me I had to put it overhead. Please be consistent! Flying is very stressful for me, and I want the staff to make it as stress-free as possible. As for boarding, I wasn't allowed into the gate until an hour before. What really bothered me was that they had already let some people into the gate and shut some other people out. Either let people in or don't. Don't follow the rules halfway because then they won't mean anything. I was very shocked by this and have never experienced this at any airline before. All I wanted to do was sit down and relax at the gate before boarding. If this ever happened to me again, I would not fly with the same airlines. To think that this was a JAL flight, with such a high reputation of customer service, makes me even more wary of booking a flight with JAL. I didn't appreciate being treated that way, and I will not tolerate it if it happens again."

they changed my destination to salt lake city instead of san antonio.i dont know what happening on your system and my baggage is no where to be found now. I waited my baggage in Lax that caused delay on my flight going to san antonio but the baggage is still missing.

Khuyết điểm: "1. Planes outdated - We were on an old airplane from Seoul which had compact seating, touch screen on tv controls were not functional. We had to help our kids with the program selections. Wished that the 7 hour flights are upgraded to newer ones with touch screen control, just like the 12 hour flights. 2. Food options not available - My son & daughter ended up skipping both meals during the second leg. They did not want to eat hamburger in kids menu, Korean air did not have alternate meal option like pasta or pizza in flight, which was not what I had expected. Cold sandwiches were offere prior to landing in breakfast menu, all of us had to skip it. 3. Turbulence - my son ended up vomiting twice in second leg. Fortunately we carried 2 spare sets of clothes. 4. Checked baggage in Mumbai airport took 1.5 hours to arrive on the baggage claim belt which was just a waste of time. Korean Air staff just blamed airport authorities on the baggage delay and did not inform anxious passengers awaiting for their baggage after the long flight. Korean air was inefficient in every way."

I was injured and in a wheelchair and this was not only a major inconvenience it was also poorly handled for someone who needed additional help. It was every man for himself. I was very disappointed"

Soda was poured out in cups rather than giving the passengers the whole can of soda. Movie selections were not that great, many good current movies were not available. Was disappointed that it was the same set of movie choices as the previous flight. The toilets really needed attention, it was quite dirty and it smelled. Seat does not have enough lower back support, was literally having to sit on my pillow and blanket due to lower back pain. The temperature was not cool enough and it felt warm."

Flight attendant's reaction was to panic instead of handing over napkins or paper towels - was mopping up with my napkins and tissues by the time she showed up with some paper towels. I was left with the impression that flight attendants were picked more for looks than competence. Checking in at Incheon took a very long time - they should open more counters or give warning to passengers of how long it can take."

In Seoul they took me to their very nice Hyatt hotel where I stayed the night and they offered me a very excellent buffet dinner at no cost."

Kayak canceled and reissued the ticket on the day before my travel, which messed up my seat You might got some money with the change , but your rating will go down
unfortunately we were unable to travel at this time due to the ongoing Covid situation in Sri Lanka. we hope to go instead in March 2022.

The crew, while very sweet, seemed inexperienced and green to me..but they were lovely and that's all that ultimately matters."

Fastidiously weighing and forcing mutiple repacks of carry-on bags even though well under total limit of checked & carry. (Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!"

No where in the world has an airline ever asked me for this, and I fly a fair bit. Since I didn't allow them to extort me, they forced me to throw away my brand new Delsey hand carry at the airport. I had no cover as they threatened to if load my luggage and not let me fly home. Not a 5 start airline from any angle. Will never use Qatar again!!! This was my first and last flight with them."

Japan Airlines was one the best flying experiences I have had.
Originating flight delayed so we missed the connecting flight. We were re-booked on a flight 8 hours later (though the counter staffer was doing a great job, and was personable). That flight was completely full, so—though we had originally paid for Economy+ (extra leg room), we we seated in the last row, most uncomfortable row on a plane.
AA did horrible with the checking in. I was late my flight even though I got there 2 hours before my flight. There were bunches of people waiting in the line to check in and only had 2 agents at that time. More than half people in line couldn’t fly that day because the flight always took off before we checked in
We waited 5 delays from DFW because the maintenance on the plane to pick us up had so many that had not been done routinely. Instead of being home at 2:00pm. We were home at 7:00! After all that there was not even water given to us!!
Once airborne, the flight was uneventful. However, the flight was an hour late leaving the gate due to a weight and balance problem that needed to be corrected by restowing luggage in the baggage compartment. Several passengers missed connections in PHX; no representative from American Airlines (the captain or terminal representative) made an apology for the delay or missed connections. First class food service is poor. Nothing is warmed; sandwiches are all the same (two slices of processed meat or turkey with cheese on a pretzel roll). No hand santizers are offered or provided as was done during early covid restrictions.
Someone left a bag under the seat in front of me. It was from the previous flight. There was a kindle and a cell phone in it. There was also an empty coffee cup under the seat across the isle from me. I find it hard to believe that they are cleaning between each flight but missed these items.
Because of a mechanical problem, we were deplaned and placed on a new plane. The new plane then had to be refueled while we sat in the plane. In these situations, where refueling was entirely predictable, given the new plane, we should’ve been left in the terminal longer to enjoy its comfort rather than “sardined“ in the plane for a longer unnecessary wait.
For some reason the plane was so uncomfortably hot. The vents did not seem like they were working at all.

I paid $81 for my seat since AA did not let me choose my seat. $81 for a seat that was really uncomfortable and with very limited leg room. I felt ripped off. There were common screens as entertainment instead of individual ones, very obsolete. This will be the last AA flight I will take."
