When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

This new location had no air vents above it, while all the other seats did. People around us were using blankets, while I was fanning myself. We couldn't use our neck pillow...it made us hotter. Almost all the Asian airlines I've flown on, the flight attendants were always real nice and helpful, but That wasn't the case with Asiana airlines this time around. On our flight from LAX to Incheon, and from Incheon to Cebu, the flight attendants all seemed miserable and unhappy, not smiling at all. I've flown Asiana few times before and had always been happy, but this time, it was definitely different, all because of the seemingly unhappy flight attendants. On our 12 hour flight from LAX to Incheon, the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and in 12 hours, they didn't once come around with trash bag collecting trash. Sure, they collected the plastic cups drinks were put in, but that was it. How do you not come around collecting trash AFTER A 12 HOUR FLIGHT? Also, just the little thought of maybe providing a hot towel after a 12 hour flight would have been nice. Ưu: "I had to make an emergency trip back home ASAP, and China Airlines had the best schedule. It was my first time flying with them, and I was not sure what to expect. Some quick research about safety and traveler experiences - indicated it would be a reasonably safe and comfortable flight. It was - good seats, smooth takeoff and landing, diligent attendants, and meal service was decent (for example - on par with KLM, better presentation than Air India, not as good as Qatar or ANA). I would consider flying with them again."

Overall, not a good experience as I hoped it would be."

Never heard of such as small allowance for carry-on luggage, at least on Delta, United and the other airlines I generally fly. My impression was that this rule was not much enforced since I saw many carry-on bags bigger than mine and judging by the effort I saw when people put them overhead, they likely were heavier than mine."

I was observing and trying to get some information on what is happening or reason for our delayed flight but to no avail. The captain's explanation makes no sense. With a 3 hour delay, I knew and felt that It would not be a great ride because right from the very start it already started wrong. I was already stressed out from the very beginning even though i saw in the cabin crew's effort and super great service towards especially to our older passengers their dedication and passion to serve. I was really looking forward to this flight but I guess this was one of those days that all you could do is close your eyes and stretch your patience. One other bad experience was getting on Terminal 1. Great improvement but it could be still better. Can't connect to Wifi (its asking me my number on the US when I did not sign up for roaming and for sure will not be able to get the code that they will send on my number) Last year was better, just log on and boom! Impressively lightning wifi speed connection. No questions or log ins and you can safely assure and text your relatives waiting patiently outside that you are there waiting. I just wished we went to Terminal 2 instead. But I guessed it will also be the same because everything started on a bad start with that 3hour delay. They were lucky most of the passengers were excited to be home and sleeping!"

Sure we have power banks -- but why would we use it up on entertainment when we will definitely need it to communicate once we get to Manila? For a short flight, fine. However, for a long haul flight of 13 hours or so? Have mercy!!!!!"
