Movie selections very poor. Lots of talk about social distancing before boarding and then in economy class we are packed in like sardines.
Ticket flight selling should more detail at each a few countries when transit to Vietnam Ho Chi City. Unfortunately, I could not take this flight which was July 22 because i have to transfer airport in Japan. So that, I had to pay another ticket one way to Vietnam and in difference day.
Best leg room on their 777 we have experienced in Economy across the Pacific. A big plus since I am 6'1". The food was abominable on flights originating from Japan. Mainly mystery dishes.
It was good, better than most US airlines.

He was not going anywhere for at least a year (radiation and chemo) and the denied even credit.I was able to get my parents tickets refunded by a different airline. NEVER Again. my father passed 8/12/2018. Our trip was scheduled for 9/13/2018. Very disappointing.see"

Ưu: "The flight was less busy than usual (it was an Easter Sunday departure) and so service was a bit more relaxed and friendly than usual instead of just efficient. Left gate a few minutes early and arrived 20 min early in Tokyo. Flight time is pretty good - 8pm departure which gives time for a relaxed day sightseeing in Dusseldorf before going to the airport in the late afternoon, Arrival in Tokyo is about 2pm which would be a good time to check in to hotels and relax. Food was good - dinner after take-off and a brunch-type meal a few hours before landing. Entertainment system is also very good although I'd flown a lot recently so seen the films I wanted to see already. Sometimes ANA are just "good" but this one was the best one I've flown recently."

Except for the missing baggage everything is excellent.

We spoke to a flight attendant about it early on in the flight, spoke to the kids and spoke to the parents. Then spoke to the kids and parents mid flight. And then spoke to them all, including a flight attendant towards the end of the flight. The issue was never resolved. We asked to change our seats but could not. We asked for the parents to trade seats with the kids and they would not. It was the worst, most uncomfortable flight I have ever taken. And I fly regularly for work and for pleasure. It was an absolutely horrible experience. I was actually in tears on the flight because I was so tired, uncomfortable and frustrated."

Cathy has been viewed as a sympathiser of “yellow” rioters because of its involvement by management n crew. Now it just brings it more to the memory how CX might be what the leaked reports that many equipment has been compromised by CX crew onboard. Many of CX customers are from middle class, and it could be a big turn-off. It is unwise to patronise a tabloid newspaper when the owner has been named by China as the culprit of the recent troubles in hk. It’s like offering Al Jazeera news on united airlines entertainment........During the whole trip, I was captivated by these thoughts."

Khuyết điểm: "Four travelers were seated in 4 different areas on flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco flight. Three of us of us were senior citizens. Two had disabilities and were.not accommodated in any way by Cathay Pacific (CP) while loading in the four areas of the plane. Those of us that we're physically able could not help those with mobility issues because of the proximity of the seating, I could not pre-check or request different seats on the CP website. I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well. I traveled internationally to Asia three times now on CP and the first two were excellent. In the past had had flown other carriers on out trips to asia. This experience on this flight was beyond bad. I had plan on several more trips to Asia the next three years, and I will say that at this point, I will not fly CP again. Something needs to change. A call to me is in order. I witnessed several gaps in CP systems and other issues with training the staff. Your survey did not specify the flight crew. Except for the loading issues and the lack of information about Customs being.closed at SF, the service was world class...what I had come to expect from CP"

A senior hostess cam later to apologize zaying the reason was that there were new forns since 1 Dec when leaving the plane, everyone was given old forms! All very unptofessional..."

BTW I'm a Platinium member of American Airlines, what thy should at least give a little attention since I fly every month."

Ưu: "I really appreciated that Cathay flew another plane in to pick us up when our original aircraft was mechanically grounded at the previous destination. The crew were very professional."
Khuyết điểm: "Our flight was delayed due to mechanical failure and didn't arrive from its destination: Taipei. We were not told about the possibility of our flight being cancelled as we arrived at check-in, we were allowed to check our bags first, issued boarding passes and *then* we were told to come back to check in counter in 3.5-4 hours. Our checked luggage had already been taken and with it, clean clothes, toiletries and other items that could have made the waiting more comfortable. After coffee and a snack we decided to check in to the capsule hotel at Narita. Minimum stay was one night at that hour of the day - for stays after 6pm. While I appreciated that Cathay got us out later that evening, the plane we flew was one of the oldest in the fleet: the seats did not recline at all so it was very uncomfortable. It was a late night flight but no one was offered pillows or blankets. (I did receive one upon request). We arrived in Hong Kong in the early hours of the next morning - 3 hours late - after the airport train had finished running so I paid for a taxi home which I normally would not need to do since I already had a train ticket. so my flight experience did cost me some extra money this trip."

Ưu: "Happy to have goodnight on the flight. Was scared to fly on such a long flight because I'm a decent sized guy. I was even more afraid when I realized I was out in a middle seat. However, the seats are relatively spacious, even in economy and my knees weren't hitting the back of the seat in front of me. I also appreciated that we could get up to grab water or juice at any time during the flight."

Ưu: "For the 15 hour flight from Hong Kong, they served two meals and put out snacks and drinks in the galleys in the interim. The dinner was pretty decent, and they gave a small bottle of water along with Hagen Daz ice cream. The seats reclined pretty well for economy class (the bottom of the seat shifted too, which was unexpected). Power outlets at every seat and an extensive entertainment system with movies from Eastern and Western culture."

Ưu: "The crew did what they could to keep their moral up. Chinese airports are famous for always being late, and now I've experienced it. I don't think it was Cathay's fault. The layover arrangements in Hong Kong were handled brilliantly by the airport crew. Transportation was provided to the hotel, the hotel was the nicest I've stayed at in China and they weren't confused by everyone showing up (as often happens on layovers). The new boarding passes and cab voucher were provided cheerfully and everything was clearly explained by attentive people."

The captain was clearly distraught and very apologetic, bu what can you do when, after two 1-hr delay periods, traffic control says it may be as much as three hours more? The cabin crew were already clearly tired at the beginning of the event, and I'm sure it was all they could do to keep us all together."

AA did horrible with the checking in. I was late my flight even though I got there 2 hours before my flight. There were bunches of people waiting in the line to check in and only had 2 agents at that time. More than half people in line couldn’t fly that day because the flight always took off before we checked in
