AA did horrible with the checking in. I was late my flight even though I got there 2 hours before my flight. There were bunches of people waiting in the line to check in and only had 2 agents at that time. More than half people in line couldn’t fly that day because the flight always took off before we checked in
Narrow middle seat in Boeing 777 (10 abreast) instead of 9. Boarding one an a half hour late.
The airport closed off checking in 90 mins before departure. Showed up at the airport and was denied entry. Had to re book the flight.
FLight crew was friendly, efficient and informative!

No early seat assignment, last boarding group, no access to overhead stowage (didn't need it) so all bags have to be checked for extra fees, bought preferred seating just to be sure my wife and I could sit together but did not get a receipt and had trouble explaining this at curbside check in. Overall unsatisfactory. Same seats but no amenities."

Ưu: "Almost everything. Only the food was lacking. I like their new planes. The outlet at the seat in coach. The magazine options at the seat as well. I did not look at the entertainment so I will not rate that. The crew was professional."
Khuyết điểm: "Just the food options. Ginger snaps was what was served for food and a beverage. I suppose this is what obtains on most airlines these days but can't I hope for something more like maybe a sandwich? AA has the opportunity to set themselves apart in this area."

American refused to provide hotel. the provided hotel and meal voucher for a fellow traveler on same flight who missed his connection. I was told he was accommodated because he is priority. When asked how I become priority I was told "he spends more money and flies more often." To me that means as a customer I am not a priority to American Airlines."

Ưu: "The boarding agent in Jacksonville, FL was a spirited, beautiful woman. She had everyone in the terminal cheer all the soldiers on our flight. And was very helpful to me getting a seat closer to the door as I was having horrible spasms in my back. She is what AMERICAN Airlines should be to all customers. Gate B47 on 9/30."
Khuyết điểm: "It cost me $86 dollars to supposedly upgrade my seat to an exit row with tons of leg room. Granted there was plenty of leg room but the seat was extra narrow to give room for an emergency exit if necessary. I'm not huge but I barely fit in the seat. It was an uncomfortable squeeze which of course got worse as the flight continued. I complained to an attendant that the seat was too small and he had no remedy. If I was a few pounds heavier it would have been impossible. You'd think they would warn a customer of the narrower seat. It's so obvious that it's all about profit for the airlines which sickens me."
