Rude gate staff, not much service on plane

Korean Air was very friendly and professional! I am kinda tall and skinny so my legs cramped up and my butt hurt after awhile, I used my pillow to sit on. Not a fault of the airline just a bit uncomfortable, but it was long flights.

For the flight being a very late departure and both locations being around the same timezone (1 hour difference) I feel as if the lights were left on for too long, over an hour after departure, and then turned on too early, 2 hours prior to landing. Too improve comfort I would suggest to begin service upon takeoff and turning the lights off immediately after, and turning them on an hour before landing to conduct service. Better yet, if possible, conduct service with the lights off and individuals that require additional lighting may use their individual light. I believe, and witnessed in my area, a majority of personnel that just wanted to sleep during these flight hours."

Ưu: "I was recently on flight CI054 from Auckland to Taipei, with a short layover in Brisbane (my final destination was Incheon, South Korea. Due to fog in Brisbane, the flight was diverted to Gold Coast. After arriving in Gold Coast we had to take a bus to Brisbane. It's kind of a long story, but basically I will say it was handled well for the most part my China airlines. Certainly, fog was not there fault and they did everything they could to accommodate passengers, including putting us up in two very nice hotels."

Nobody on the plane knew what we were doing - who was supposed to get on the bus and who was supposed to stay. The Australian immigration authorities and Gold Coast airport staff took control, but again, China Airlines staff had completely disappeared. Nobody was there to tell us whether we should collect our luggage, how to get an appropriate visa to enter Australia, where to go to get on the bus (or even if we SHOULD get on the bus). I was really frustrated at the point, but other than that, I would say they handled it quite well"

A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

Ưu: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Khuyết điểm: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

I merely asked them to call Turkish Airlines, and they said they didn’t have the number. I begged both of them to call someone to help me, and they just laughed and said it wasn’t part of their job. I was horrified! I almost missed my plane.!"

However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

Crew is very friendly and helpful at the same time. Slippers and socks they give you in economy class + cotton blanket of course make you feel you are 1st class traveler. What else? You name it and it is there. Will fly again with Turkish airlines."

The on-flight entertainment system didn't work from FRA to IST The staff did not do a safety check (check if seat belts on all passengers, seats are in upright position) prior to the plane flying Overall I flew with them 4 times (2 way ticket, with connection flights) and all flights were late to depart and eventually arrive late."

Khuyết điểm: "Informed gate personnel of a physical disability within our party. Instead of allowing us to board with another party utilizing the wheelchair service, they conveniently suggested that a line was also forming right before boarding the plane."

Ưu: "The flight was a half hour late departing but once we got in the air it was a quick flight. Beverages were served and then it was time to land. Deporting was quick and painless."

So if I book hotels or flights any updates or ticket information is sent to my Gmail account which I can never see I realize that too late and tried to notify you but you never answered back I realize that too late and tried to notify you but you never answered back. I feel I cannot use Kayak in China anymore."

Khuyết điểm: "Last minute wanted to check our luggage as the plane was boarding and almost caused us to miss our flight. Flight crew unhelpful and not friendly"
Khuyết điểm: "It was super hot before and after the flight took off. Felt like tha AC of the airplane was broken. Other passengers and I had to use magazines, safety info leaflet to fan off the heat."

Khuyết điểm: "Armrest on my husband’s seat was broken and fell off twice during the flight. He cut his arm on it the first time this happened. The flight was pretty bumpy, but the weather wasn’t great. The landing was a bit of a roller coaster, too!"
Khuyết điểm: "The plane was late in boarding, and even later in arrival. We were given no explanation, only an apology. And it turns out worse, because apparently we had been shifted to a plane that was going to continue into Laos, so the plane came in at the International Arrivals Section and we had to take a bus from there to get our luggage in the Domestic Arrivals Hall. Making it all even later. No food offered for this quite expensive flight, only water, and no entertainment either."

Khuyết điểm: "Only two check-in counters were available. The waiting time for check in was, therefore, quite long, and the time was very tight until the boarding. The seat allocation was horrible, and I was surrounded by nasty neighbors, who were chatting throughout the 10+hour flight, even after my verbal warning, not to mention the way children were taken care of. I am not blaming children making noise. I am blaming the lack of control over the parents who bring noisy toys for children and play videos loud enough to disturb the neighbor's sleep throughout the flight."

Ưu: "Crew was helpful and stern when necessary. Due to the short flight (45 minutes), a bottle of water was handed out."
Khuyết điểm: "By no fault to the airlines, the domestic terminal is incredibly inefficient and unsympathetic to travelers with special needs (like tired and hot pregnant mothers). On top of this, you get grumpy and crotchety travelers pushing and complaining."
Ưu: "I cancelled this flight and went to Singapore instead on VietJet."

Ưu: "On its Airbus A 350 Vietnam Airlines recently introduced a new arrangement for the Premium Economy Section. This is the only aircraft used on the SGN-CDG line. Before they had a lay-out of 3-3-3 seats across, strictly identical with the Economy section. It is now 2-4-2, giving some more space to sit comfortably. All seats have now a fixed separation, with the possibility of placing a glass or other small objects on top of it; they look like a smaller version of the old Business Class seats. In the first row the design of the fold-up screens has been improved. Previously some invaded the personal space of the neighbour, as I had experienced last October (my knee still remembers it). Well done. Prem Economy is worth the difference in pricing."
Khuyết điểm: "In Premium Economy Vietnam Airlines used to serve a lavish breakfast menu. Most of it was sent back as waste, because so many passengers (e.g. French) are accustomed to a minimalist continental breakfast. All this lavishness has disappeared now. While I understand the reason why, I wonder why they also eliminated the small portion of jam or jelly. Only butter is available to spread (spread?) on the tiny bun. It would be a nice touch to have also some jelly. Also during the night shift they used to offer some nice sandwiches to sleepless passengers. Now only pots of instant noodles are offered on demand. These pots are not well adapted for European passengers."

Khuyết điểm: "We booked the flight for family of 8 Despite informing them over counter in Narita international airport that to place us at 2 together in the same because we have kid of 8 years and 12 years , we were all allocated separately. We could not do online check in even we log in 24 hours before flight ,all seats shown available is individual. Being in the airport early does not help too. I will definitely not consider taking Vietnam airlines in future n will cautious friends to be aware of such service."
Ưu: "They fed us dinner and kept the lights dimmed most of the time. Good selection of movies too, which was important bc I couldn't sleep."
Khuyết điểm: "Not a ton of room (esp legroom) in economy, making it tough to get comfy/sleep. They occasionally randomly turned the cabin lights back on which was a bit annoying."
Ưu: "Managed to take off close to scheduled time despite inclement weather. Offered disposable raincoats for passengers for transfer from tarmac bus to plane. Staff are always polite and courteous."
Khuyết điểm: "Ran out of chicken and only had fish. Not a fan of fish. Was offered "chicken or fish" but when I selected chicken there was none!!! Not a fan of the bus transfer."
Ưu: "Notifying customers of why flight was holding for over an hour in the air (due to heavy rain)."
Khuyết điểm: "No food or drink offered during holding period..this more than doubled the flight time and was quite frustrating."
