Didn’t enjoy anything. Manila airport needs to be improved, take a little pride, it’s an International transit terminal. being stuck in a boarding gate for 6hrs and no options made me hate the country of the Philippines and never want to go there even for transit every again. Good luck to the next sucker that gets trapped there in transit

Unfortunately when I went to check-in they couldn't find me in the system and I wasn't showing a reservation. The Airline crew was great and allowed me to board but I had to wait 30 minutes for them to get approval even though I had my electronic ticket and I had paid for the flight

I liked everything especially the food and the good services.

Need a refresh on these planes

Khuyết điểm: ". I was shocked to see social distancing was not implemented with no seats apart and I was in the middle of four seats. If the journey is as important as the destination, then it already failed the minute I was seated in a very intimate setting alongside strangers and seeing the economy class fully booked. The airline defended this by saying they have special economy seats but I complained that this is not equitable since the seats are limited and not everyone could afford an upgrade. Even if they could, the passengers would still be seated side by side and the total number of passengers aboard a tight and enclosed space or load factor is still very high. The airline’s policy was so inconsistent with the very rigid rules of the different government agencies upon disembarkation."

Ưu: "The "Forward seats" are advertised on airline documents for $20 on regional flight. MNL-SGN is definitely a regional flight, but they charged me $50 for the one seat choice. The comfort is definitely much better. I had guessed it was worth the 20 dollars, but 50 seems a rip-off."

Khuyết điểm: "Late, late, PAL is always late. First we were late by two hours; then boarding was delayed by one hour after that; then we sat on the tarmac for two more hours. Literally my dad had almost finished watching his first plane movie before we were able to takeoff. Fortunately our flight wasn't cancelled, but we missed not one but TWO connecting flights because it was so late. Also, MNL is a terrible airport. What is the logic in needing to pass through THREE sets of metal detectors and x-ray machines before boarding?"

Khuyết điểm: "Literally every time I fly PAL there is some issue with delay. After boarding we stat on the plan for over an hour before we took off waiting for some other passengers. Also I was at the airport early and wanted to get on earlier flight they wanted to charge me $300 to get on a flight with many extra empty seats."

Khuyết điểm: "This flight we took was an older plane, no USB ports or entertainment was available. They do offer an app to watch free movies but you have to download it where your phone has good service. They also offer free in flight wifi, but that didn't really work too well for us. Not sure if that has to do with our carrier."

Before going to the check in counter there's a security line; at the immigration there's a security line which I believe is required there; then at the gate there's a security line. There are just too many security lines to go through"
Khuyết điểm: "Flight was delayed. At least this time they sent me a notification via email. On the flight from SFO to Manila, the flight was cancelled and we had to be reaccommodated the next day and I wasn't even notified that that was going to happen."

Then, after we boarded d at around 1AM, we were advised that the runways were due to close at 1:30 AM and negotiations were underway to extend runway operations so we could take off. We waited on the plane only to later learn that the flight was cancelled and we had to deplane! After more waiting at the gate in the terminal we were to hotels. We went to bed at around 4:45 AM, only to get a wake up call at 7 AM whilst we were not leaving the hotel until 11:00 AM for a 1:30 PM departure! Horrible! We ended up leaving even later, at around 2:30 PM. Throughout, communication from the company was abysmal. Never again Philippine Airlines for me !"

Khuyết điểm: "More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines."
