Delays in boarding and takoff
The most I like from Singapore airlines is the food comparing to other airlines. Also found a good movie to watch. Sometimes it's difficult to find an interesting movie on many airlines.
Singapore airlines has resumed after Covid selling premium services but not opened lounges to cater for the demand you cannot get a seat in their lounges and social distancing is non existent. I wouldn't pay for services you don't get so be aware.
It was a very comfortable journey. Everything was good and should be maintained

Khuyết điểm: "The flight was delayed by 2 hours and they changed the gate from one end of the terminal (A15) to the other (C1). The waiting area was cramped. This being the home of Singapore Airlines, the way managed this entire thing was pathetic. Boarding announcements were also confusing."
Ưu: "I have tall family members and they had enough legroom even at the back of the plane. Service was excellent. Snacks and drinks were regular on offer even between meal. Very nice, professional staff even after 13 hours of flight. Just excellent. Thank you for this very pleasant experience. Will definitely fly Singapore Airlines again."
Khuyết điểm: "There is room for improvement with the special meals. The non gluten brun was very hard. In general it would be nice if passengers could pre-order from a set selection of foods online what they would like on their tray. This would hopefully lower the amount of food that sadly goes to waste. Also it would be nice to have gluten free snacks on board. Flying with celiac disease is not easy."

The inflight entertainment, touch screen and remote controlled, was so good i was up the entire time watching movies Black Panther, Downsizing, DeathWish, Pacific Rim and listening to the wonderful library of music, i was surprised at the range of music, from uncensored rap to big band."

Ưu: "Seats in economy were larger than United. Food was good for airplane food, even found a last minute vegetarian meal not ordered ahead. Appreciated a gratis glass of wine. Found a clean pillow and blanket in every seat upon boarding."
Khuyết điểm: "My screen had to be reset twice as it froze up. The attendants kept taking my water cups despite them not being empty. Boarding was less than organized, could have been more efficient. We made up time, arriving a few minutes early even after departing late."

Khuyết điểm: "We had the staff come to us twice to keep the "noise" down (we were travelling with a 2.5 yrs old). Now we travelled on other legs with Singapore airlines, with the same toddlers and same "noise" levels, but no one came to us to request to keep the noise level down... I am guessing that premium economy has a different (lower) threshold for toddler "noises" !! :)"
Khuyết điểm: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."
Air in the middle rows seemed very weak(hot temps)

Not a sympathetic crew, which had to be reminded the protocols (upright seats before take off) while being inflexible on other things. Chaotic food service. Average entertainment."

We had been already traveling for two days. Airline offered no expedited support to get off the plane first or help through immigration, completely unacceptable!"

This a rating for my whole trip to kathmandu not just Dubai to Kathmandu."

Ưu: "I really enjoy this airline. The flight was good with good entertainment system. I like the provided pillow and blanket and they make sure the cabin is dark and quiet for sleeping. Food is decent with generous amounts and snacks always available to go and grab."
Khuyết điểm: "I was fairly squished on this flight at 6'2" with my knees almost touching the seat in front of me. I had more space on another Cathay flight and I think I had a seat in the same class. I took off my shoes and that helped me get a little more room to spread my feet/legs out to get comfortable."

Meals were very good for economy. Cabin crew super polite and patient, which I've come to notice as a standard on Cathay. As an example, I have a good intolerance to shrimp/prawn. My outbound flight LAX-HKG, the dinner salad included shrimp. I explained i could not eat the shrimp. The attendant was kind enough to swap it with a leftover vegetarian salad."

I attempted to call in to Cathay to explain I could not have shrimp/prawn. The rep either did not understand or could not help. I really wished Cathay offered a pre-arrival meal like the other airlines. LAX-HKG and HKG-LAX are 13+ hours. Cathay offers a departure meal and a mid-flight meal. But by arrival time, I was starting to get hungry again. Thank God, I had enough of a layover, even with CBP processing, to grab a quick bite before continuing an additional 6-hours to home with no time to eat."

Khuyết điểm: "I didn't like the fact that nobody told me that Ataturk Airport in Istanbul is so big that you can not make to connect flight on time for an hour.Especially if you flight has been late to depart like mine from Belgrade due to the rain. I thought I will make it to the connect flight to LA but the gate was already closed. I was instructed to do multiple errands, to get Turkish visa, etc all on my expense to be able to exit the transit as an American citizen and be able to take Turkish airlines bus to the hotel.The hotel was fine and the meals. The problem was that they calculate bus traveling time wrong in the hotel and put people on the bus next day too late, so due to the traffic jam, we barely made it to the airport, and then we had to stress the officials to put us on the fast passport control lane due to boarding time."

Flight arrived late, but no info. on connecting flights provided. At least eight passengers ran through the Istanbul airport to catch the connecting flight to Rome and, despite the fact that the plane was still at the gate, the gate staff person would not allow any of us on the flight. Customer service staff were unhelpful and had a negative attitude. The transfer were helpful."

I bought insurance and I tried to contact them, but they denied my request and I would definitely recommend to remove this option because it doesn't give a good image of KAYAK. If I want to trust this application, I have to be confident to use the services and I service from the insurance was fake. I tried to reach the airline to cancel my ticket and they said it's not refundable. Therefore, I would definitely recommend showing refund options when selling tickets. I lost every penny I spent because I was not able to fly. I am sure that my message is delivered now!!!!"

Ưu: "Traveling business class makes all the difference, as it should. Trolley service lets one see and choose a meal. Attendants were very nice and helpful. Also, the Turkish Air Lounge in Istanbul is incredible and almost worth a destination in its own right."

Ưu: "Well, Due to craziness at Atatürk airport my 11am flight arrived to Istanbul at 3pm.. which was the time of my connecting flight to NY. I was lucky that the flight was being delayed too.. so I got to board my flight 3:40pm. However, due to high traffic at Atatürk airport my New York flight departed at 5pm. Overall there was just a 2 hour delay, however the experience of transferring was quite stressful, not to mention that my bags didn't make it to New York. I just wished that the connecting flight information was not offline in the Ankara Istanbul train so that I didn't panic as much. Overall I made it safe and sound to my destination by the magic of plane transportation.. so thank you to all the engineers, staff, pilot, cabin crew and oil companies that did so much to bring me home. Khuyết điểm: "Most discomfort I had stemmed more from my own fatigue and the inherent dryness of airplane air than anything that could have been controlled. No, the tea I had after my meal wasn't good, but I'm picky. The entertainment options were heavily impaired by the heinous sound quality, however, rendering the movie I watched crackly and often inaudible. I also wish the ticket counter opened earlier before the flight, especially when it ostensibly closes an hour before takeoff. That makes for a narrow window indeed."

Khuyết điểm: "The flight TK 119 (Khi - Istanbul) reached Istanbul late by half an hour. The layover at Istanbul was 1 hr 25 m. The distance to reach Gate 504 was terribly long. I had to run all that long distance to reach gate. After passing thru security checks, etc. I was completely exhausted. All that trouble to be dropped from plane on the runway and then using bus to reach terminal building and vice versa for the onward flight TK 33, was a terrible experience. The layover time and the lengthy and tiring procedure need immediate revision and rectification. Instead of comfort, passengers get high blood pressure and exhaustion. Very troublesome experience."

The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us."

I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Only after I asked to file a complaint, they allowed me one of two empty seats in premium. Terrible customer service."

Khuyết điểm: "The plane (Boeing 777) is packed like a sardines can, with 10 narrow uncomfortable seats across in Economy Class. The crew didn't even bring water for an 1,5 hr into the flight! The plane was very hot, with very little air flowing through the salon. Food was bland for dinner and inedible for breakfast. The crew was barely there, and borderline rude when asked something."

I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

If this were not enough, the airline also lost one of our bags so this week we have to file for compensation for both begin downgraded and for the contents of our 30 kilo bag which never made it to Ho Chi Minh. Air France was a complete and total disaster and I would strongly recommend all friends and colleagues to find alternative airlines for travel"

Had to new walk in the sweltering heat to the plane can climb up steep stairs in the heat! We were now kept in the plane for another hour with no aircondotion. It was boiling hot in there. We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers."

At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Ưu: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."

On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

There was plenty of room, I had breakable stuff in my luggage, didn´t get the chance to choose. No entertainment AT ALL. Confort: no leg space at all. Not an AirFrance plane, subcontracted. Lousy food."
