Khuyết điểm: "Boarding is very unorganized, and takes so much time. They could probably improve by assigning certain rows to use the front/rear door of the aircraft. For example: rows 1-15 use the front door, and 16-30 use the rear door. That way there’re not too much congestion and waiting on the aisle."

Ưu: "Lined up, crew took our tickets, we loaded on the bus to bring us to the plane, but the bus just stayed there for 10-15 mins. Then they told us all to get off the bus and go back into the terminal and wait. No explanation or apologies. Waited another 30 mins then everyone lined up again. They never explained what the issue was - it was a bit unsettling. Like, was it a meintamice issue? Should we be worried for our safety? Or was the aircraft simply late/delayed? Upon taxiing and take off the pilot finally said they were delayed from a previous flight and the plane needed to be “checked.” Would’ve like to know that an hour earlier when we first got kicked off the bus."

Ưu: "Extra leg room in the emergency row. Plane was not packed with people so easy on and off. This was a flight from HCMC to Hong Kong And we were then going to get our bags in HKG and recheck them to SFO. BUT since Vietnam air and Cathay are connected we were able to check our bags all the way to SFO!!'"

Khuyết điểm: "By no fault to the airlines, the domestic terminal is incredibly inefficient and unsympathetic to travelers with special needs (like tired and hot pregnant mothers). On top of this, you get grumpy and crotchety travelers pushing and complaining."

Khuyết điểm: "The flight was 3 hours late leaving Luang Prabang. When we finally boarded and arrived in Siem Reap, we found out they had left everyone's luggage in Luang Prabang, and it wouldn't arrive in Siem Reap until 24 hours later. Horrible! Worst part, we were told by the airline's team in Siem Reap that this is a common occurrence on that flight! Will never fly Vietnam Airlines again."

Ưu: "On its Airbus A 350 Vietnam Airlines recently introduced a new arrangement for the Premium Economy Section. This is the only aircraft used on the SGN-CDG line. Before they had a lay-out of 3-3-3 seats across, strictly identical with the Economy section. It is now 2-4-2, giving some more space to sit comfortably. All seats have now a fixed separation, with the possibility of placing a glass or other small objects on top of it; they look like a smaller version of the old Business Class seats. In the first row the design of the fold-up screens has been improved. Previously some invaded the personal space of the neighbour, as I had experienced last October (my knee still remembers it). Well done. Prem Economy is worth the difference in pricing."
Khuyết điểm: "In Premium Economy Vietnam Airlines used to serve a lavish breakfast menu. Most of it was sent back as waste, because so many passengers (e.g. French) are accustomed to a minimalist continental breakfast. All this lavishness has disappeared now. While I understand the reason why, I wonder why they also eliminated the small portion of jam or jelly. Only butter is available to spread (spread?) on the tiny bun. It would be a nice touch to have also some jelly. Also during the night shift they used to offer some nice sandwiches to sleepless passengers. Now only pots of instant noodles are offered on demand. These pots are not well adapted for European passengers."
Khuyết điểm: "There was no luggage requirment on my flight plan. I thought that it was 32 kg since it was international flight. At the counter I wad told I am over 20 kg allowed on that flight since this fligh was code shared with Vietnam Airlines but operated by Cambodia Angkor Airlines. After manager intervention my suitcase was accepted. I would appreciate clear communication about allowed suitcade weight on code shared flights."

Ưu: "The crew was nice. The seats were very close together and there was not much room to use the tray table. I could barely fit my laptop on it open with the seat tilted."
Khuyết điểm: "The flight was overweight so they didn't put my checked bag on the flight along with about 50 other bags. I didn't find out until I went to pick up my bag. I still haven't received it and they should be delivering it today."
