Never even got on the plane . Kayak and Japan airline poor customer service . Had boarding issues due to a layover restriction in Japan. Was notified less the 24hrs prior to departure time … worst worst
Only thing i have to said is rough landing and food is not great so does the entertainment.

If JAL wishes to attract more international customers it would be a good idea for it to broaden its global perspective and provide better vegetarian options. I know others who've had similar concerns about other types of special meal."

So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

Getting bags takes longer time than expected
The flight was great. As far as the food is concerned it would be great to get little things like salt, pepper a small cube of butter (when bread is provided) with the meal.
It was hot inside the plane and the boarding was very crowded. But the seat comfort, and entertainment are spectacular

When the staff finally arrived, they told me that it's too late for discount rate and there is nothing they can do about it. So I got fined for their lack of service. Ưu: "The crew is always very professional and friendly. The meals were surprisingly good for less than an hour flight. That being compared to other airline meals. The flight from koh samui to bangkok had a complimentary snack and non alcoholic beverage bar that was a nice touch, as well as free wifi while waiting on the flight. The seats have really good leg room (my husband is 6' 5" and his knees had an inch) in economy, which was a very nice break from air china. All our flights were about an hour so can't mention long haul flights but we loved bangkok air so much, will always book them from now on. It is a budget airline but we were very pleasantly surprised."

Ưu: "The leg room is one of the best in economy class. At six feet tall, I was able to stretch my legs and not have my knees against the seat in front of us. The personal entertainment console worked perfectly with clear picture and sound, though the free headphones were uncomfortable. Boarding crew allowed us to cut in line since we had a 2 year old. Very appreciative for that, and appreciative for their sternness with those customers who were trying to slip in in front of us."

Blanket received not in a wrapper and smelled of another person. Plane from Singapore late. Bus transit instead of jetway. Bus late; long time standing on plane waiting to exit."

Ưu: "Overall my experience was good. Pros: seat are comfortable. The jet seemed more spacious than ANA airlines. Cons: workers know little English compared to ANA from checking in to the flight attendants. I think this was the most disappointing because the language barrier was frustrating when needing help going the right direction and having questions about checking in. The food was OK. The fruit tasted rotten and the food didn't seem as fresh either. The customer service was also mediocre. When I was on ANA airlines all the staff were very helpful and they seemed statisfied with their jobs. When I travel to ASIA again I will try and avoid Vietnam airlines."
