Highly efficient and great service

Japan Airlines should have done better incorporated with other codeshare airlines (JetBlue) to make sure our reservation doesn’t get mess up and that’s one of the reason why we stayed in Newyork for the whole day to wait for the next flight. Could have been much better experience but it wasn’t and worse. My flight got delayed in Newyork causing us to miss out our flight on the outbound from Narita to Vietnam. On the way back, the agent from JP airlines messed up our reservation and separate our name into 2 different reservations making us running around to figure out how to get the boarding pass for my partner which is ridiculous.

Short flight with minimal services. I have no complaints. The staff were very, very good.

I can’t go to the Thailand Because I put the wrong Thailand pass date. So I can’t go…

Ưu: "The flight never occurred. The first leg of my flight from Ho Chi Minh was cancelled and I was not informed. I discovered this when I went to check in. I called Kayak to resolve this since I had confirmation of the booking and was placed on hold. After 2 HOURS I hung up. At roughly 4:00 am I spoke with someone at Kayak who confirmed the flight was cancelled and that I was not contacted. An offer was made to put me on another flight a day later but that was impossible because of needing another Covid test. I was able to arrange another flight that was more expensive."

Ưu: "This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!"

Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight."

Khuyết điểm: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Airline didn't help with finding a hotel for stranded passengers."

Khuyết điểm: "The first leg of Hyderabad to Dubai was about 3.5 hours. The airhostesses must have been tired from another long haul prior to the HYD-DBX leg. A couple of them were a little less than charming to some of the passengers. Many of the people from Indian subcontinent don't use the magic words - thank you and please. So, it could come out likes bit rude but a curt answer in stead of yelling would have sufficed. My flight was from EWR to HYD with stopovers at BOS and DBX. A long wait at Dubai can be understood and expected. But a 7 hour layover at Boston was a killer. If Emirates tied up with any other carrier other than jet blue, this could have been avoided. Even otherwise, after a 20+ hour journey, another 7+ hour waiting was a killer. Please change it to make the journey shorter"

I don't think it's fair that I paid for a full seat and only was able to use half of my seat. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire flight. I was pressed up against the window and against the stranger passenger that I did not know. By the end of the flight, my shirt and my pants are soaked with sweat, it was not my sweat."

There was a mechanical problem and we were changed to another plane and another gate, which was supposed to take off at 6:30. It was boarded and ready to go around 7:00. Then....we taxied down the runway only to stop because of a situation on THIS plane (a light that did not go off). It was fixed pretty quickly and meanwhile a rep. from Delta boarded the plane, apologizing for our inconvenience and handed out Jolly Ranchers. REALLY? After that, she and the flight attendants did give us a free drink/headset coupon. That would have been nice but it expires Dec. 2017 and the flight attendant stopped serving drinks about half way down the aisle because the flight was so short. The coupon will be of no use to me. I finally got to Raleigh about 9:30...I booked the flight so I wouldn't have to drive at night.. Sigh....Delta used to be my favorite airline."

Ground assistance (wheel chair) left me with a badly bruised left big toe and I didn't think we'd ever get through the TSA. The pat-down I received was more like a sexual assault and I didn't even get a happy ending. We made it to RDU, so the exercise was a success, but it was a huge hassle."

Notwithstanding a delayed departure to allow passengers stuck in security to make the flight, all went very well.

We were able to get an earler flight which was an awesome accommodation

Everything was first class! Thank you Air Canada!

The flight attendants were knowledgeable and informative. Our incoming flight was delayed due to snow and ice. Once we were aboard the flight from Denver to Detroit, the pilot informed us that we needed to go to de-icing prior to lift off. He led us to believe that it would only delay our trip by 10-15 minutes. We sat on tarmac for one hour prior to lift off. I definitely appreciate the safety process of de-icing but I wish the pilot had given a more realistic estimate of time of departure.

Should have waited a little longer at 1st de-icing so we could have left in allotted time period (20 minutes after application). Also fairly certain we left Toronto Airport past the 20 minutes of 2nd de-icing. Which resulted in many passengers missing connection flights (myself included) with as much as a “We are sorry” from Air Canada. I know the weather was an issue, but wasn’t sole cause."

Every time someone flushed, I was bathed in the smell of urine. It was raining in Toronto; consequently, my checked bag was wet through. I’m glad I was coming home rather than arriving at a vacation destination, where all my stuff would’ve been wet. I’d like to see some effort put into keeping my bag dry. Also, the passengers had to slog through the rain to get on the plane!"

As a kosher consumer, I was unable to drink the water from a kosher perspective and I never drink tap water anyway! I found the staff to be less than friendly until the flight was over. Our flight was cancelled and we had a longer wait for the next flight. I missed an evening appointment due to this cancellation. I never understand why the back of the plane doesn't board first, other than first class."

Ưu: "Chris from AirCanada customer service is a true hero to the industry and I'm sure he deserves much more recognition than he gets. Thanks Chris for helping save our travels!!!"
Khuyết điểm: "When checking in for our flight, AirCanada prompted me to select which passengers' email addresses should be used to send updates in case of changes, delays, or cancelations. I selected the both of us to receive the updates. However, we never got any notice that our flight was CANCELLED. They cancelled it well in advance that had we known, we wouldn't have gone to the airport but NO - we already arrived and passed through security only to arrive out by the gates and see on the board it was cancelled. Even while passing through customs, the officer said he didn't see it on the flight schedule and then said, "oh it's just listed at a different gate." The way in which AirCanada handled the incident was completely unprofessional and just plain stupid. I for sure will be giving my business to Amtrak or Greyhound the next time I need a trip from NYC to Montreal."
Ưu: "As we approached Raleigh ~3:15am, over 4.5 hours late, the pilot apologized for the delay, which was thoughtful of him. And we arrived in one piece, so that was good too."
Khuyết điểm: "While waiting for the flight, I whined on FB about our probable delay, and a friend responded with "I'm guessing that you're crammed at the end of that terminal hallway with about 10 other gates of people with no airplanes, no information, and 2 AC employees." Spot on. Apparently such delays, understaffed gates, and failures to communicate with passengers are par for the course. Friend even predicted the free bagels AC would eventually offer at the restaurant that closed 3 hours before our flight finally left. He didn't predict the multiple announcements about assorted other flights not having functional restrooms so please pee before boarding."

Ưu: "Staff were incredibly kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. I need wheelchair assistance and they handled that beautifully, asking thoughtful questions about my needs and adapting their plans to my answers. They also helped me with stowing my carry-on since I would have struggled alone."
Khuyết điểm: "Unfortunately, through no fault of the flight crew or gate crew, we got one of the few remaining planes in the fleet that are so old that they can't fit a full carry-on bag in the overhead bins or under the seats. Larger carry-on items had to be checked through to final destination, which made a lot of passengers upset -- either because they were business people who needed to be able to work on the flight, or they had important baby gear in there that they would need before that, or they were traveling far away using multiple airlines and were rightly worried about lost luggage."

Though we had checked in online, it still took forever to check in at the counter as the machines could not print out the bag tags, then there was another line up for dropping off the bags. Those machines also could not read foreign passports though Canadian ones were fine. So we had to wait for our friends who were from overseas. The stewardess doing the announcements went so fast you could not hear her except for a few words, and she had a very strong French accent so it sounded like she was speaking in French all the time. But at least she was better than the pilot, whom we could not hear at all. The only word we heard was "cloudy"."

Although our arriving flight arrived over an hour before the Scheduled departure time- yet we were told that the flight had been closed. Despite the fact that she could see my name and my husbands name on the screen for the flight. We informed her that we had attempted to check in online three times but we're not allowed to. I believe it had something to do with checked baggage. After demanding to speak to someone in charge- we were told that the airport supervisor needed to be told by air canada directly to reopen the flight to allow us on. At this time my husband has been on hold ( an international call- seeing as we were on an island) for nearly 30 minutes- finially someone picked up and essentially told us that there was no way for air canada to do that and in fact it was the arriving airline that we should be communucating with. At this point- we hung up. Fearing that we would be stuck there- although the plane had still not departed- but since the supervisor of the airport never physically appeared so that we could discuss the issue in person- I went to another airline , American, to try to find and pay for, mind you, another way to get my husband and myself home. After spending another $1500 to do so- we boarded the American flight and actually made it home before our scheduled time had we been allowed to board the air canada flight. Honestly- I'm not sure if it was air canada or the airport... But I do know that my husband and I will never fly air canada or honestly- I have no desire to go back to the airport where this incident happened- which is sad because I like to contribute to the tourism economy of small island countries... But this one is no longer in my list."

There were long lines of angry people complaining, and they were from different flights, One couple complained they missed 2 days of their honeymoon. The plane did have seats in business class which they refused to hand out. Eventually they found me a hotel and redirected me through Frankfort the next day. It turned out to be a 27 hour trip. Huge disappointment."

We were all "herded" into a small, hot area. It seems like this time of day has a number of late flights that don't seem to have a good plan. 3. We landed in Greensboro and the pilot walked in to tell us after the fact. Come on, an announcement before the actual landing would have been good communication."

Elderly people and folks with disabilities would be exhausted, even with help from golf carts."

Another attendant scolded me loudly in front of other passengers because I accidentally threw away a lid from the food tray into a garbage bag I put all my trash in and then wanted me to dig it out. I asked him if he could since he had gloves on and I did not and he scoffed loudly telling me to never do it again. Another passenger said to me while on the fligh that she saw how rude they were being to me and that she was sorry. I was almost in tears because I was so embarrassed."
Ưu: "I upgraded to be in the front for more leg room cuz I'm a tall lady. It was the first time I did that and I was comfy. Definitely doing that again. I also like how discreet the flight attendant was when I requested a seat belt extender."
Ưu: "The flight itself wasn't that bad. Food and movies was goog and two out of three girl from the crew were nice"
