Once we did finally board we found that they had made a mistake and had to deboard a passenger resulting in an extra hour delay"

We had a very short connection but were met as we got off our first flight in Seoul and given great instructions about how to quickly get to our connection through security while our flight to SFO was being held for 15 minutes. The food was very good, choice of movies and TV excellent. Our bags made it to SFO despite the short connection. All in all I couldn't ask for a better way to make a 20 hr trip to the other side of the world."

Only after an hour of explanations I could take the cats. It seemed that that person was not familiar with rules on pet transportation."

I heard no announcements, maybe because it didn't matter as everyone was crowding the door 15 minutes before boarding began. The agent seemed perturbed, but I've seen it on almost every Italian bound flight. No one wants to wait. It is actually a bit amusing to watch the struggle between boarding policies and a group of people who seem determined to ignore them. The buses were also pretty well packed. More so in Rome than IST. Not much organization in loading at either place. After all the passport control they left us to walk outside to wait for the bus. Maybe you can tell I'm not a fan of remote gates."

(By contrast, our SAS flight cost nearly twice as much, left two hours late, causing us to miss our connection, the food was medicore, and the alcohol cost extra). The warm towels were a nice touch. I also appreciated the video regarding in-seat stretching exercises, which were particularly helpful on a long flight. It was nice to board from both the the back and the front of the plane."

The passenger behind us was trying to sleep and complained to the crew about our shade being up even though she was not wearing the eye covers the crew had given everyone. The crew asked us (politely) more than once to put the shade down, but the electric light was not sufficient for our reading. I don't fault the crew for trying to accommodate an unhappy passenger, but it was an imposition on us as well."

We left a half an hour late and the flight was already at 10pm. It was a pretty terrible experience! And the section of the Istanbul airport we were in was pretty dirty. Also the movie they played had two language options but no English which was disappointing."

The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious."
Khuyết điểm: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Khuyết điểm: "Agents at check-in desk took longer time to process passengers, even though some desks had two people helping. The web check-in line moved slower than the line with passengers who had not done online check-in. When I booked my flight via kayak, I was not given an option to select seats (this was new) . I was able to indicate my seat preference but there was no followup. When I checked in online 24 hours before my flight, the only option for seats was in the middle, which I did not want, although I I knew the flight would not be full. I was able to change seats when I checked in with the agent in the airport ."

Khuyết điểm: "Food quality was pretty poor. It used to be so good. I had sea bass which was so dry. There were a group of 30 people travelling together. They monopolised the lobby bar and were rowdy and noisy despite requests from the crew. The flat bed is so hard, it needs a mattress."

Khuyết điểm: "There was a medical emergency on board, so bathrooms did not get the necessary attention. Had to ask for toilet paper for two different bathrooms. Transferring to this flight as a NIGHTMARE. The boarding gate was a long way from the arrival gate. Went through an endless maze. Went through two security check points. At both check points I was sent for pat down. At the first there were five other women who were waiting for pat down. All white women. Discrimination???? At the second security, I had not even passed through the detector and the officer was waving me to get a pat down. At that point I started laughing. Next automated preclearance for immigration, then had to wait in line to talk to immigration officer. It is a miracle that I made it to the flight on time. Passport and boarding pass checked minimum of 6 times in this process. On arrival in Los Angeles, there was a bus ride to the terminal for luggage pick up. My husband was at the terminal I normally come to, I had no way to contact him (Indian sim), no change for pay phone. A fellow passenger was merciful and let me use her phone send husband messages and eventually we met up. I would not use Eithad for India to USA for this reason only. The security and immigration preclearance sucks."

I believe that this person needs to be trained in order to know who needs to be helped first as he worked at that particular counter for people who already Checkin online."

Ưu: "The flight was very quiet so I was able to lie down and get a good rest - I know this isn’t possible on every flight but it made the long flight a lot more comfortable. All of the crew members were very friendly and attentive. The food was really good and tasty (lamb curry I think it was) - best plane food that I’ve ever had. Good choice of new movies too."

There were no snack available or provided for kids except the meal box. When requested milk for my kid some milk from flask was given which I was not comfortable giving to my son.. there were other issues but my sons comfort was the most Concerning"

Ưu: "Unfortunately our flight from London to Abu Dhabi was delayed and we missed our connection through to Melbourne. However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation."
Khuyết điểm: "Whilst the food at the hotel was amazing, the same cannot be said for the plane! The food was very ordinary. The chicken pie was barely edible. In terms of seating, the seats are pretty standard long-haul fare. There is limited room but the issue is cushioning. They feel pretty hard and it was difficult to be comfortable."

Khuyết điểm: "The crew in the business class, were NOT up to the standards. Whenever I ask about something, they say ... I will come back, Yes they come, but after a while. When serving the food, they gave me the main course, without bringing the salad or appetizer, they didn't ask to bring or not, and I thought that it goes without mentioning to bring them. After finishing the main course, she asked if I finished, so I said yes, she took the whole tray, without asking or bringing the desert, which is again strange. before landing , I wanted to take a medicine, so asked for water, but they said to me we started to descent, and they didn't bring me water except after saying I needed this for taking medicine"

Ưu: "The staff for our flight were all extremely friendly and accommodating. They came through the cabin several times with drinks and snacks and ensured we had the most comfortable flight possible. I thought the entertainment choices were excellent and really provided a wide array of genres and a unique multicultural assortment. Meals were very good, served in generous portions, and having a vegetarian diet I was happy to be so easily accommodated. I was lucky enough on this flight to have a row to myself so I could spread out."

I requested Hindu meal, MEl-AUH no rice only 4 pcs of chicken n some vegetable. Same way AUH-NYK no rice. AUH -Nyk second meal only vegetable.It was horrible"
