Ưu: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

Also, boarding passes had to be REPRINTED in Tokyo for some reason. Note: on the way to Okinawa 2 weeks earlier, we had similar poor experience, but we only had to wait 5 min in the wrong lane. Overall ANA staff is very nice, friendly and smiling, but seems to get overwhelmed and confused very easily, and take FOREVER to do simple tasks that their US counterparts do 3x or 4x FASTER. --> do more regular TRAINING of your staff at airport counters !"

The airline did nothing to prepare for this situation. It took hours to get another flight organised, communication was non existent and refreshments took ages to come. Airline didn't help with finding a hotel for stranded passengers."

Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

New plane, very clean. Wide comfortable seats turning into a large comfortable bed. Great menu and good wine list. All staff are professionally trained and very friendly. All this made this flight very comfortable and we were not tired."

In the new seat, the entertainment system worked, but the seat didn't recline, and I had to change seats again - from an initially allotted aisle seat, to a middle seat. Also, the food service time was weird - we got a full lunch about an hour before we landed, which didn't make sense, and had to wait almost 5 - 6 hours between brunch and our next meal - a movie snack. Most passengers were famished by the time the lunch was served. Also, why was there no wifi?"

Khuyết điểm: "My wife and I personally don't mind a selection that leans heavily toward Indian food, but I imagine others will not. The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."

Reason: There are two queues 1 For people who did a web checkin 2 people who didn’t do a web checkin The Qatar staff at Hyderabad experienced a technical glitch because their only system failed and there was no backup option. There was no apology from any of the staff. No one values the time of the people who chose Qatar making it a very bad experience overall"

I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

Ưu: "I travel from Sydney to Europe (UK and Greece) regularly. My experience with Qatar airways was fantastic: I highly recommend it. First of all, the travelling hours are a bit shorter (compared to travelling via Singapore or Hong Kong) probably because of the geography of the cities/connections and the corresponding flight times between Athens-Doha-Sydney. The aircraft was exceptional (I believe it was Airbus A380). It was a double-deck, wide-body and four-engine jet airliner. Cabin and economy class seats were very comfortable and more spacious compared to other aircraft. There was minimal turbulence, which is partially due to the type of aircraft: at least this is my understanding. The aircraft also had wi-fi (complimentary for the first 15 min) and one was allowed to use the mobile phone during the flight (except during take off and landing times). The flight attendants were absolutely amazing. Also, the crew was very understanding and friendly with children. Food was also excellent and in good portions. Overall there was high tech aircraft, excellent service and no delays. I will choose it again in the future."

The flight attendants tried to sort it out, but it was not possible. They kindly brought complimentary magazines and drinks/snacks, however it would have been much preferable if I could watch a movie or if free wi-fi was offered for the whole flight, as compensation.. My understanding is that this was not an option, due to problems providing free password..."
Khuyết điểm: "The seats don't recline very far and on the a380 the window is a very long way from the seat making it impossible to lean against. - so difficult to get a reasonable test. The food was not great. Perhaps not qatar's fault(?) but we bought duty free alcohol in Brussels and took as carry on then after a layover in Doha we were advised Australian regulations prohibited us from taking it on board for the final leg - even though it was still sealed in the duty free bag. We were forced to check it protected only by some lightweight clothing and a thin back pack we had been using as cabin luggage. Fortunately it made it undamaged - but it would be better if we had been informed of this at Brussels."

When finally given priority because she couldn't keep standing in line someone told her to go through but when we did another staff person argued with us and then argued with the other staff who let us through. Very inconsistent experiences and no help for elderly, only babies. Food is not good either, vegetarian meal is not filling just a few vegetables and second main option I was told was noodles but when opened it was western spaghetti with a clump of meat I had to pull apart."

After the security check we were sent outside where buses were driving to claim our checked-in luggage to take it for another check just to drop it one minute later. Anywhere in the world if you board a flight with a stop-over you see your luggage at the final destination, not the case if you fly trough Manila."

The aisle of the Airbus 320 is quite narrow so it is difficult to pass the aisle w/out bumping into seats."

In-flight entertainment: limited movie selection, even more limited tv shows selection. Music section was very poor, it needs more selection with variaty, known artists, more radio channels. And music tracks should be in a tracklist form with song information, not only 1 hour-long tracks of back to back music (with no info). Meals - Mains were ok, deserts were terrible in both of my flights. Snacks were also bad, a scone and beef and cheese sandwich. Very blend, white bread only and oily. We weren't served enough bevarages, so oily and high-carb foods made me very thursty. No water fountains, it'd be great to have some around since staff does not give enough beverage and I was forced to chuck my water before boarding the airplane (the water I bought in the airport after passport check!!!!!!!) It was extremely cold."
