I always book an isle seat, especially for long flights (this was 12 hrs.), so that I can get up and stretch my legs etc. The couple sitting beside me were upset that I did not take the window seat. When it came time to sleep, the wife stretched out over her husbands legs, who was sitting beside me. This meant her feet were coming on top of my legs, and her legs were forcing her husbands legs into my space, touching my leg - I had to put a pillow between my leg and his leg. I asked the Qatar hostess if she could please ask the couple to change their positions, so that my seating space was respected, resulting in no body touching. The hostess replied that she was not permitted to ask the couple to change their positions and be more respectful. Fortunately there was another unreserved isle seat and I was able to move. Due to the fact that airplanes have become cultural melting pots, thousands of feet in the air, I think it would be peacefully beneficial too all, if a very discreet announcement could be made at the beginning of each flight regrading seating etiquette, respectfulness towards others etc. this could also be printed in the flight magazine. Thanks in advance."

When I asked, I was told that none were available. The check in person was not pleasant or helpful. I also had to watch to make sure that the luggage labels were attached to be sure that they would make it to Chicago. Once on the plane there was an unrudy boy sitting in front of us jumping in his seat, never wearing his seat belt kicking the seat, turning on the light beating on the tray table, calling the flight attendant. The adult ignored the child through the flight. It was one of the worse experiences I have had on a plane. I would have to think very hard before I fly Qatar again."

No where in the world has an airline ever asked me for this, and I fly a fair bit. Since I didn't allow them to extort me, they forced me to throw away my brand new Delsey hand carry at the airport. I had no cover as they threatened to if load my luggage and not let me fly home. Not a 5 start airline from any angle. Will never use Qatar again!!! This was my first and last flight with them."

No warmth or empathy. Planes are showing their age, particularly in the seat monitors. Screens have dead zones with inoperative icons. Also, quite a few seats were literally falling apart. But, when you fly to more countries than any other airline, some wear-and-tear is to be expected."

Khuyết điểm: "I booked three round-trip tickets from LAX to Athens. Our daughter did not fly with us there but we checked with ticketing in LAX and they booked her seat anyway. The issue came when we tried to leave Athens the airlines then said that I had to purchase a one-way ticket! They informed me that the flight was cancelled for my daughter because she didn't fly to Athens. The ticket was almost $1,500.00 and I intend to get my money back but it was unfortunate that they had to charge me for it in the first place."

I am 6'1" and 190 lbs and asked for exit row and they both told me all of them gone already. The thing is funny when I asked checking in was just began. After boarding I realized some exit sits are available. As a Turkish man who worked JFK for.Turkish airlines, I think this was awful experience. Turkish airlines and passengers deserve better service and honest employees"

One cannot change my arrival from Sunday night to Monday night. Called Customer Service 20+ times to have it fixed. They are all outsourced incompetent and unprepared. Good planes overall, but horrible customer service. I will never fly Turkish again. I prefer to pay more and have decent customer service and no flights cancellations in the middle of my vacation."

When we finally were told that there is a flight - huge lines to check in. No help with connecting flights was offered. when I asked to reserve a connecting flight - I was put on a connecting flight that I missed anyway because of further on-going delay. When I reached Istanbul - no help was actively offered. I had to arrange my connecting flight. No compensation was offered. When we asked for some food and water, we were sent to the lowest level lounge in Ataturk airport. Very poor Turkish Airlines experience!"

(It was there DEL to Istanbul, but not Istanbul to MIA). So, the chief made a grilled veggie plate for me that was excellent. Crew was very polite and handled the situation in a friendly & professional manner."

The woman next to me was rather large, took up a lot of real estate (took up her seat and overflowed onto mine) and was unfriendly. It was impossible for me to get up, or to stretch. I was unable to return to work today due to sciatica problems related to flight seating. (I checked with the flight drew. The plane was full. There were no aisle seats available even if I could afford to upgrade to another class.)"

I got laid over for 55 hours in the Istanbul airport lounge and the staff there was unfriendly as well, and no one spoke English...at all. It was disheartening, and very frustrating."
Ưu: "The plane was late taking off which made the connection in Istanbul tight. The fact that there were no announcemts made it somewhat stressful finding the gate which was very far from the location where we deplaned. Other than that, the food was great and the staff pleasant enough."

Later when I was walking around to stretch my legs, I saw there were AT LEAST 10 seats open in the next cabin. Why lie? The entertainment system touch-screen was not working properly and the headphones kept falling out of my ear."

Ưu: "I flew in economy. 9+ hours from ORD to HEL. The seat was average size. We were provided with a pillow, blanket and headphones. I did not use the in-flight entertainment, which was on an LCD screen. It was warm, so i didn't use the blanket. I also brought a neck-pillow, which is vital on overnight flights. They served a full dinner shortly after takeoff: I had meat lasagna which wasn't that bad, along with corn, a roll w/ butter, two saltine crackers with decent cheese and a chocolate pudding. Upon waking, I ate the breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and two sausages and a roasted tomato, a roll with butter, fruit cup and orange juice, coffee on the side. All pretty good, it was nice to have a meal before deplaning in Helsinki and waiting to get through passport control. Attendants on this flight were quite friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. No problems with luggage. All in all, a real bargain price, and I got more than I bargained for."

Khuyết điểm: "The boarding was awfully slow, and the flight departed nearly half an hour late. The cabin crew offered free water and coffee, once. Even then I had to ask the flight attendant, they did not ask me. No entertainment on the flight, magazines were rather pricy so I read a book and caught up with some sleep."

The food was cold and had to be reheated, the plane was worn, overall this was one of the worst flights to Europe ever. I did not book American, just got duped into it, but now I will make sure I will never fly American again."

Perhaps the flight attendant in charge of our seats was having a bad day. Also, the food on our BA flights to and from NYC was not up to scratch and rather bland and ordinary, compared to their usual. that was a huge disappointment."

Ưu: "I last traveled on British Airways in May of last year (2015) and the food was beyond dreadful. Therefore I was very pleasantly surprised that there has been a huge improvement. They were very generous with the drinks and the food was plentiful and quite a reasonable standard for airline food (they gave two full meals from San Francisco to London, whereas most airlines give one meal and one snack on that route). They actually checked us in on the earlier side, we took off very promptly and got to London early. It was nice to be on time for a change - so often I find airlines run a bit late. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Pilot's messages were pleasant, friendly and even a bit informative."
Khuyết điểm: "Web check-in ahead of time was a total disaster. I got an email telling me I could check in 36 hours early and "secure a good seat" but neither of the 2 sets of codes they provided in the email would work because it was all about Finnair but actually the flight was being run by British Airways. I spent about 30 minutes on the 'phone trying to get the appropriate sequence of numbers and letters to enter so as to check in and get a good seat - still nothing worked. This was at 5:45am - I regretted the time spent when I could have gone back to sleep. My daughter later spent a further 90 minutes trying to figure it out, only to be told finally that our only option was to get to the airport early and check n there which was what we did. It was beyond irksome. Please note, if the airline actually flying is different fro the booking airline, the locator number for check n will be DIFFERENT and needs to be provided to the customer to avoid a great deal of hassle and confusion. We gt particularly unlucky because BA computers had a glitch that day but the general point still stands."

What made me very frustrated and angry is that when I contacted Finnair to reschedule the flight I was told the flight was managed by British Airways and I would have to contact them When I contacted British Airways they said it was a Finnair flight and I had to contact them. I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. (The Finnair flight from New York to London was fine.)"

I am extremely dissatisfied with this flight and with British airways in general. I wish I would have known about the baggage and I could have saved myself a LOT of money. British airway crew were rude and unhelpful. I will not be flying with them again."
Ưu: "This is a no frills BA flight, but I'd rather do fly with BA than the other options. You have to pay for food and drink, the quality of crew far exceeds the usual low cost dross."

Khuyết điểm: "I was told that I had to check my bag because it would not fit in the overhead bin. When I got on the plane I found that the overhead bins were ample sized for my hiking pack. I know that British Airways has a policy regarding bags in overhead bins that basically says 'if you cannot lift your bag into the overhead bin un-assisted, you must check your bag.' My husband and I are both experienced hikers, we lifted our packs unassisted on the last plane, yet they forced us to check our bags. I'm glad our bags made it to the UK, but this is literally the first time I've checked a bag and had it arrive. Also, the boarding passes sent to me on my phone were rejected by almost every security/boarding check. This is after BA supposedly fixed their error with the previous boarding passes. Overall not pleased with the experience but glad I paid under $300 for my ticket."

The movies are only on loop so when you take off and are finally allowed to turn on the tv, the movies are 25 minutes in. All around a waste of money. Will never fly BA AGAIN!!"

Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."

Ưu: "I was travelling alone with a baby and a toddler and found most of the staff very helpful - stowing my bags, helping to carry my buggy, helping with seat belts etc."
Khuyết điểm: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"
